We Must Never Forget
We must never forget who is to get the credit for the freedoms we have, of which we need to be eternally grateful. I watched the flag pass by one day, it fluttered in the breeze. A young marine saluted it, and then he stood at ease. I looked at him in uniform, so young, so tall, so proud. With hair cut square, and eyes alert, he'd stand out in any crowd. I thought how many men like him had fallen through the years. How many died on foreign soil, how many mother's tears? How many pilot's planes shot down? How many died at sea? How many foxholes were soldiers graves? No, freedom isn't free. I heard the sound of taps one night when everything was still. I listened to the bugler play and felt a sudden chill. I wondered just how many times that taps had ment "AMEN". When a flag had draped a coffin of a brother or a friend. I thought of all the children, of the mothers, and the wives. Of fathers, sons, and husbands with interrupted lives. I thought about a graveyard at the bottom of the sea. Of unmarked graves at Arlington, no, freedom isn't free. Listeners, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for all our servicemen, both at war, now, and past, and for all vets everywhere. And give one a heartfelt "thanks" for the job they did to protect this wonderful country we live in, for that is the best gift that you can give a service man or woman. No matter what branch they were or are in. Moby, that poem was sent to me by a friend a while back. I have no Idea just who the author of it was, but I feel it might be fitting if it were read on today, memorial day when we are to remember our military. Thanks, and a happy memorial day to you, and all the listeners out there. "YEAH BABY"

OLD PERSON PRIDE
The Old People
Old People are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the National Anthem. Old People remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them. Old People remember World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal , Normandy and Hitler. They remember theAtomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peace-keeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, not to mention Vietnam . If you bump into an Old Person on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Person on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old People trust strangers and are courtly to women. Old People hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection. Old People get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies. Old People have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children or grandchildren. It's the Old People who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country. This country needs Old People with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country and decent values. We need them now more than ever. Thank God for Old People.

We’re All Pencils
Pencil Maker
A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL THERE ARE 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX : 1. EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK . 2. YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE. 3. WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU. 4. IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER. 5. TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU. We all need to be constantly sharpened. This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities. Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you and then allow yourself to be guided by the hand of God.

Sage Advice
Will Rogers
Sage Advice Will Rogers, who died in a 1935 plane crash, was one of the greatest political sages this country has ever known. Enjoy the following: 1. Never slap a man who's chewing tobacco. 2. Never kick a cow chip on a hot day. 3. There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither works. 4. Never miss a good chance to shut up. 5. Always drink upstream from the herd. 6. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. 7. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back into your pocket. 8. There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves. 9. Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment. 10. If you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it's still there. 11. Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it back. 12. After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut. ABOUT GROWING OLDER... First ~Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it. Second ~ Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know 'why' I look this way. Third ~ When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, remember Algebra. Fourth ~ You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks. Fifth ~ One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been. Sixth~ Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable. And, finally ~ If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you won't have anything to laugh at when you're old..

DRINK, STEAL, SWEAR & LIE
DRINK, STEAL, SWEAR & LIE I met this guy while I was in Albuquerque and he has a motto he lives by everyday. He said listen carefully and live by these 4 rules: Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie. I was shaking my head 'no', but he then told me to listen while he explained his four rules. So here they are: 1.. "Drink" from the "everlasting cup" every day. 2.. "Steal" a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are. 3.. "Swear" that you will be a better person today than yesterday. 4.. And last, but not least, when you "lie" down at night thank God you live in America and have freedom. I am not as good as I should be, I am not as good as I could be. but THANK GOD I am better than I used to be !

My Hero
By, Diane Franklin
Dear Mr. Moby, As the upcoming Memorial Day approaches, I would like to tell you about my American hero. His name is PFC William Ryan Franklin and he came into this world on October 13,1991, and ironically, he was born at Ft. Stewarts' Winn Army Community Hospital. He talked to me when he started into his senior year of high school about joining the Armed Forces. As a mother, my gut reaction was a resounding NO! That's my baby! But as a Vet. myself, my heart swelled with pride. I told him, the best that I could on what he could expect and even went with him to talk to a recruiter. They answered all of our questions with honesty and professionalism that impressed me. In Jan. 2010 my son, my baby boy, enlisted into the Army. The day he graduated from high school I was proud, Mr. Moby. And as a parent, you know we face many heartaches, sacrifices, and joys from our children. But to date, the hardest thing, as a single mother, was leaving my precious baby at that recruiting station when he left for Basic Training at Fort Jackson. I cried all the way home and well into that night. As a mother, that was the first time in his entire life, I was not going to be able to help him. He would have to do it on his on. I wrote him everyday and haunted the mailbox for his letters. On the day he graduated from bootcamp, that was not my baby boy, not my mouthy teenager I had last seen. Instead stood a very polite young man who had integrity and assurance of himself. Now he is about to graduate AIT from Ft. Eustis, VA and is slotted to be sent to Ft. Riley, Kansas. But he will be coming back to Georgia for jump school. So I will see him for a bit. Mr. Moby, this young man joined the Army, pledging to defend our great nation from enemies foreign and domestic during this war on terror. He did notdo it for fame or glory but because he wanted to. He went into this knowing what he could expect since I told him of my experiences in the Persian Gulf. But he did it anyway. Like so many of soldiers, he has my heartfelf graditude as citizen and my unwavering pride as a vet, and my undying love and loyality as his mother. As I do everynight, I say a special prayer for Ryan and for all the amazing men and women who defend this great country and their families. Thank you Mr. Moby for your support of our troops. This world could use a heck of a lot more of your kind. YEAH BABY!!!! Diane Franklin Diane, I promise you, there ARE a heck of a lot more of my kind, and we are so very greatful for you, your son and their kind. They commit themselves to stand watch at the gate, and keep the wolves at bay. So, my family can rest peacefully every night. God bless and protect us all. Yeah baby, MOBY

The Balloonist
The Balloonist A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am." The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude. "She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican." "I am," replied the man. "How did you know?" "Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me." The man smiled and responded, "You must be an Obama Democrat." "I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?" "Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

Adult Resignation
By, Monica Whalen
I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year-old again. I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant. I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks. I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them. I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer's day. I want to return to a time when life was simple; when all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care. All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset. I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest and good. I want to believe that anything is possible. I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again. I want to live simple again. I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones. I want to believe in the power of miles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow. So ... here's my checkbook and my car keys, my credit card bills and my 401K statements. I am officially resigning from adulthood. And if you want to discuss this further, you'll have to catch me first, cause ... "Tag! You're it."

The Pink Dress
There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park. Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad. Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat And watched the people go by. She never tried to speak. She never said a word. Many people passed by her, but no one would stop. The next day I decided to go back to the park in curiosity to see If the little girl would still be there. Yes, she was there, right in the very spot where she was Yesterday, and still with the same sad look in her eyes Today I was to make my own move and walk over to the little girl. For as we all know, a park full of strange people is not a place for young children to play alone. As I got closer I could see the back of the little girl's dress. It was grotesquely shaped. I figured that was the reason people just passed by and made no Effort to speak to her. Deformities are a low blow to our society and, heaven forbid if you make a step toward assisting someone who is different. As I got closer, the little girl lowered her eyes slightly to Avoid my intent stare. As I approached her, I could see the shape of her back more clearly. She was grotesquely shaped in a humped over form. I smiled to let her know it was OK; I was there to help, to talk. I sat down beside her and opened with a simple, 'Hello' The little girl acted shocked, and stammered a 'hi '; after a long stare into my eyes. I smiled and she shyly smiled back. We talked until darkness fell and the park was completely empty. I asked the girl why she was so sad. The little girl looked at me with a sad face said, 'Because, I'm Different...' I immediately said, 'That you are!'; and smiled. The little girl acted even sadder and said, 'I know.' 'Little girl,' I said, 'you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent.' She looked at me and smiled, then slowly she got to her feet and Said, Really?' 'Yes, you're like a little Guardian Angel sent to watch over all the people walking by.' She nodded her head yes, and smiled. With that she opened the back of her pink dress and allowed her Wings to spread, then she said 'I am.' 'I'm your Guardian Angel,' with a twinkle in her eye. I was speechless -- sure I was seeing things. She said, 'For once you thought of someone other than yourself. My job here is done'.. I got to my feet and said, 'Wait, why did no one stop to help an Angel?' She looked at me, smiled, and said, 'You're the only one that could see me,' and then she was gone. And with that, my life was changed dramatically. So, when you think you're all you have, remember, your angel is Always watching over you.

Letter To Moby
By, Joey
Dear Moby, My name is Private First Class Joey Elrod. I'm currently finishing up my Basic Training and AIT ( Advanced Individual Training) here at For Leonard Wood, Missouri. I just wanted to shoot you an email saying that I really enjoy listening to your morning show out here. It makes me feel like I'm back at home. It takes great patriots like you to put this country back on the right track. I'm looking forward to getting home so I can get back to the folks I'm fighting for. I just wanted to make a request for a song, and it goes out to all the people that are in the service that have brothers or sisters. I'd like to hear Brothers by Dean Brody. Have a wonderful day and God bless, Joey Elrod, PFC Joey, God love you for the service you're being trained to provide my country. If we're ever in the same area, I'd be glad to buy you a beer, or a glass of sweet tea, whichever is more to your liking. Buddy, I've never heard of the song you mentioned, and it's just not one we play. So, I have to apologize for that, and I'll ask you if there might be another that you would like equally? God bless America!! Yeah baby, MOBY Well I know here a while back y'all had Sammy Kershaw on the show when he was introducing his song The Snow White Rows of Arlington, and I was driving to school when I heard it. It made me tear up and that was the song that really made me feel the call. And as for the beer/sweet teas goes, I'd probably have to take you up on the sweet tea cause it's been so long since I've had good sweet tea. Yeah baby! Joey

Letter To Moby
Dep. Sean McGuire
Moby, I am a deputy sheriff in Stephens County, and listen to you every morning when i'm working my shift. I have a special request I would like to make. Sometime the week of May 15th-21st, I would like this poem read for all the police officers that have gave their lives for the community they served as your small town soap box. The reason why this particular week is because it is National Law Enforcement Memorial Week. I would greatly appreciate it! Take care, God bless, and yea baby!!! - Dep. Sean McGuire "The Final Inspection" The policeman stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining. Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My church have you been true?" The policeman squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I've been violent, Because the streets are awfully tough. But I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep.... Though I worked a lot of overtime When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place Among the people here. They never wanted me around Except to calm their fear. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't.....I'll understand. There was silence all around the throne Where the saints had often trod. As the policeman waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. "Step forward now, policeman, You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell." Comment on Moby In The Morning Webste
By, Very Special Listener
Dear Moby:-- Comments: May 12, 2011 Dear Moby, I would like to thank you for the small town soapbox. My daughter and I were in the drive thru at McDonalds this morning when this was played and we both were balling by time we got to the window to pay for our food. My daughter is normally a 19 year old bad butt, but this really touched touched both of us. I thank you for sharing this and would also like to thank every service man and woman who has fought or given their lives for this person to have the opportunity to complain about the noise of the jet fly by. I personally live in the fly zone for Dobbins Air Force base and am amazed every time these planes and jets fly by. May God protect each and every soldier and their family's and yes even the complainers in this great country we live in.

Luke Air Force Base
Submitted By, Colt Ford
COLT FORD SHARED THIS WITH US: LUKE AF BASE Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives near Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed her day at the mall. When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must have stung quite a bit. THE COMPLAINT: "Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base: Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 A.M, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Do the Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyns early bird special? Any response would be appreciated. THE RESPONSE: Regarding 'A wake-up call from Luke's jets' On June 15, at precisely 9:12 a.m., a perfectly timed four-ship fly by of F-16s from the 63rd fighter Squadron at Like Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day. At 9 a.m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer's recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I'm sure you didn't hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of the taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques as I gave them their son's flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured.. A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects. The letter writer asks, 'Whom do we thank for the morning airship? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives. Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you....Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Lt. Col. Grant L. Rosensteel, Jr.

Hello Mr. Moby
From Tiffany Gable
I am sending you this e-mail because I wanted to share something with you and your radio family. Fourteen years ago I was blessed with a wonderful son who, after a complicated delivery and first few days, ended up at Children’s Hospital in the NICU on a ventalator fighting for his life. Every two hrs myself and my husband would go into the tiny scrub room and spend several minutes sterilizing our hands up to the elbow, putting on bright yellow gowns, and masks. All this to go and stand over our son who was too fragile to hold. One day, I turned and noticed that someone had tacked a poem to the bulletin board that hung in that scrub room. I did not realize it then, but this poem touched my heart and changed my life. You see Christopher was diagnosed with moderate brain damage and later diagnosed with cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. I was going thru his baby book and ran across this recently and with Mother's Day just passed I thought I would share it with you and for those parents with special children I admire you. I had a dream the other night, it came to me so clear I sttod before the throne of God afraid to come to near. God said to me "I hear your prayer, there's answers you can't find I asked you hear to talk to meand help you ease your mind." I said "Well yes, God I am disturbed about my special one. That punishment is very harsh whatever have I done?" God looked at me and shook his head and said you've got it all wrong. I sent this special child to you because you were so strong. I searched and searched to try to find someone with love so rare, a mother so unselfish she could give that special care. I try and save my special gifts, like those you are thinking of, for special kinds of mothers with special kinds of love. Of all the to choose from, I think this I have done a mother who deserves my best an honor YOU have won.

MOTHER IGNORING
Do you ever ignore phone calls from your mother? There’s a new survey out that finds that 62 percent of us answer the phone each and every time our mother calls, but the other 38 percent sometimes just let it go to voice mail. My old friend Lewis Grizzard wrote a book called, “Don’t Forget to Call your Mama. I Wish I could Call Mine.” I can’t tell you what I’d give to have that option. How would you feel if you just let it go to Voice Mail, and later that same day you get a very tragic call from an emergency room? “I hate to have to tell you this, but your mama had a sudden heart attack. We’re sorry but she didn’t make it.” It might only be you that ever knows what you did, but you’ll not be able to forgive yourself or forget the fact that would have been the last time for you to tell her that you love her, but you had better things to do. The last time to tell your mama how proud you are that it was her God chose to raise you, but sometimes mama just gets on your nerves. Let me tell you this, when your 2nd parent dies, regardless of how old you are, there’s gonna be something very sad inside of you that will feel like an orphan, and you’ll be the only one who understands the sense of loneliness. Yeah, you got a loving wife, and those kids that by the grace of God look like THEIR mama, but this is the only mama you’ll ever have. Love ‘er while you got ‘er I’m really not trying to preach to you about this. I just wouldn’t want you to spend the remainder of your life regretting not having that one last conversation with your mom. Some day when you tell her good bye, it will be the last words you’ll have with her. Just try to remember that. That’s all. If you’ve got a minute, you might just want to give her a call right now. Like my friend Grizzard said, I DO wish I could call mine.

Open Letter To Moby
ANGELINA BAGLEY
I come from a very small community in Bartow County which was recently hit by the April tornados. We are very small, not a city, a town, or even noted on a map. We are not a community of great riches or noted glories, but in light of the recent tragedy one could say, the riches and glories were there, just never seen until that night. I have seen the extreme destruction of home, barns, buildings and lives, but the one thing that now stands out is the strength, the caring, and the heart of the people. They are ordinary people just like me and you, but when faced with tragedy, they rose above. Before the storms were over, regardless of the damage to their homes, they were out helping others, carrying paramedics on ATV’s to the trapped, and the injured, cutting downed trees in the pouring rain and winds to clear roads, so that others may get to their loved ones, even one stopping to change the tire of a sheriff car damaged by storm debris. They never stopped even though exhausted, until the morning light when all were safe. The next morning they were out helping to remove trees from roof tops, digging thru rubble to find those precious, non replaceable items that give such comfort to those whose homes were totally destroyed. There was bus driver who brought a truck full of pizza’s and drinks and ran her normal bus route in her personal truck making sure her kids and their families had food and drinks. There were neighboring churches setting up food distribution sites and preparing meals for the victims and workers. So many organizations out on foot taking cases of water around, and first aid items to make sure those still in shock over the events, were cared for. Then even with buildings totally destroyed, they hold church services on what use to be the church steps, and you realize that even though they have lost what some consider to be everything, they have the most important, each other and their faith, and that is what brought them thru this, they will over come, and this is what makes my community great. We may never spend time together, we may not always stop to talk and catch up, but when we are put to the test, we do over come. This is my hometown, and you should know that we are rich and we are glorious. We are PINE LOG, and we are proud to call this place home. “There ain’t no place quite like this place, anywhere near this place, so this must be the place” sign hanging on the little historical store called Bradford’s, in Pine Log

Interview With Member of Navy Seals Team Six

Good buddy of Steve "Boomer" Sutton sent this to my old broadcasting buddy, Boomer.

This morning on Good Morning America these was an interview with a former member of Nacy Seal Team Six, the elite of the elite in US Special Forces. It was reportedly Team Six that pulled off the radi that took out Bin Laden. This guy was Seal sniper during the famous 20-hour Blackhawk Down firefight in Somalia. I listened to him describe how the Bin Laden mission team prepared for the task, what was going through their minds during the firefight, and how they immediately returned to base without pomp and circumstance and prepared their gear and themselves to go again at a moments' notice. As an American, I was filled with complete pride and gratitude and was reminded of a quote I read one time from George Orwell: "People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." If you really think about those words, it can be a cold, hard slap in the face. I, for one, take my peaceful nights' sleep for granted. It's at times like these that I'm reminded what the men and women of our armed services do for you and me, day in and day out without question. Once again I have been reminded and I am grateful.

Open Letter to Moby
From Tony in Arkansas

Moby,
Just wanted to say my family and I love the show and you guys (gals) do a great job. I was glad to hear you also felt a strange un-easy feeling as people celebrated in the streets over the death of one sick bastard.I had told my wife the same thing,it looks just as they do and it don't feel right.WE complain of it and turn around and do the same, don't get me wrong... I'am very glad myself. Now I'am even more curious to see what kind of spin Obama puts on it as he tries to relish in the light of one small victory.

It's like a long football season and as any good coach would say"enjoy for 24 hours then back to work. That was only 1 of many games to play. There will be many more battles for our country and our men and women leading the charge need our prayers and support every day.You and I along with the rest of America and the free world have to hope and pray that we get a new coach to lead this great country, that was once and can be again very great but not with our current leader.Ok,I'am off my box :) have a great day and may the good Lord bless you and your family there as well as at home.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !! Yea Baby!
Tony in Arkansas

Brother Tony, We’re on the same page. It’s tragic that any group of reportedly peaceful people, let alone their crazed leader, would drive us to the total viciousness that was required here. God bless our military, particularly United States Navy Seal Team 6 that conducted themselves in the precise manner for which they’d tirelessly trained. They accomplished their mission with zero casualties, and the enemy FUBAR & DRT. It’s sad that such a simple, backward enemy doesn’t recognize a peaceful, apparently sleeping giant that’s thoroughly capable of such ferocity. I believe real peace comes through strength, a sense of duty & resolve, Tony. The United States Military is in historic possession of all three of those vital elements. In all honesty, there’s something inside me sympathetic towards them, but I take a great deal of comfort knowing, not if, but when it needs happen again, they’ve seen the fangs of this ferocious beast, and at a moment’s notice, they’ll see them again. Whoa be too them when that day comes. God bless America, and thank you for helping me with this Small Town Soap Box. MOBY

This Book
by Ruth Simons Ensor

As I'm holding this book in the palm of my hand,
I'm holding the answer to the problems of man.

God created the world, and it's good I'll confess.
But, we, the people are making a mess.

We're polluting the air. We're poisoning the ground.
A pure drop of water can scarcely be found.

We're burning our forests. Marijuana grows high.
And many, from AIDS, are destined to die.

Our good moral standards are almost extinct,
Our nation is crumbling, we're close to the brink.

Men gather round tables to figure and plan;
How to stop all these vices thought up by man.

They talk and they quibble without much success,
And some may be trying to do what is best.

But it saddens the hearts of Christians to see,
How many ignore the best remedy.

Too many people are trying alone,
to solve all these problems, abroad and at home.

Forgetting how Jesus who died for the lost;
Our eyes are on pleasures, instead of the cross.

If we study God's word and abide by his laws,
We will find the ONE REMEDY without any flaws.

So! It's time we pick up this book in my hand,
And search it, and study; then we'll understand.

That GOD is the answer to the problems of man,
revealed in the BIBLE, this BOOK in my hand.
