Heartfelt greetings to all in
the growing Moby in the Morning radio family:
It’s been embarrassingly too
long since I’ve written to you folks, and it would easy to
discount it by trying to explain how busy I’ve been.
That’s no excuse for not
letting those that stand behind me in this (as one group
owner called it) “monumental effort” know how much I love
you & how grateful I am for your support.
It’s exciting to see this new
show, this new business, this new mission & passion,
grow…and grow more rapidly as time goes on.
Those of you within range of
the Biggest Small Town in America already know that we
recently spent two days broadcasting from the NAB (National
Association of Broadcasters) in Las Vegas.
Being there let many in
American radio, both small & large market, know we’re alive,
and living for the backbone of America, this nation’s small
towns.
My wife, the lovely & very
sweet Mary Beth, was on the air with me for those two days,
and that was actually a lot of fun. She’s so supportive in
this pioneering endeavor. I’m an extremely lucky man to have
such a wonderful gift from God, and that’s what she is to
your old pal, Mr. Moby.
In May, we’ll be broadcasting
live from “Pickin’ in the Park” up near Blue Ridge in the
north Georgia mountains at the invitation of our three
affiliates of the Wolf Creek Broadcasting Network.
Then in late June, we’ll do
the show from Washington D.C. inside the capitol. That
afternoon, I’ve been asked to MC a concert for the U.S.
House of Representatives by the V.A. National Medical
Musical Group.
In July, I’m going to Dublin,
Ga. at the invitation of our central Georgia affiliate,
Country 105, for the Redneck Games. We’ll broadcast a show
from there, and I think I’ll even get to MC some of the
events.
Obviously, there’ll be photos
of all these events on this web site immediately after them.
What would I do without out the assistance of our resident
foreigner, our Scottish web master Eds, and his wonderful
“web magic”.
I’m so excited to be getting
out there, to be part of these events, and to be near such
wonderful people again. I feel like it’s where God wants me
to be.
If you’re reading this, and
you’re not within range of a station carrying our “Biggest
Small Town” program, I want you to know that we have a sales
staff whose sole purpose is to gather new affiliates. They
understand it’s important to get us back in your ears as
quickly as possible.
There are small town country
music radio stations from coast to coast in this great
nation, and that’s where I’ll spend the rest of my radio
career.
I’ve been to the top of big
city radio. I had a wonderful time there, but that part’s
over now.
I want to raise my daughter,
love my family (both personal & the radio family) and finish
my career on Crabapple Road, from our humble studio of “The
Biggest Small Town in America”
Yeah baby,
