1LT Thomas Saylor

My brother, 1Lt Saylor, is the most dedicated and loyal man to his country. Since Thomas was a mere 7 years old he has had a plan mapped out of his journey to be a part of the armed forces. His room was decorated in posters, icons, and heroes that were part of our military. Thomas laid out his journey including obstacles to overcome and goals to reach. He has accomplished all of those. The only thing that surpasses my brother's love for his family and country is his love for God and his refusal to fail. This mindset has gotten him his first choice of infantry, through the very difficult Ranger school making him a "Winter Ranger", getting his first platoon to lead at the age of 23, leading his platoon into combat with knowledge, strength and a strong spirit, and finally being accepted in the prestige program of a Ranger Regiment here at Ft. Benning. He is on his way back from Afghanistan to "hug his momma" (as he puts it) and enjoy some much needed R&R. Please choose my brother as your Small Town Hero.
