I have nominated my children because they are every day heros. My daughter, Petty Officer Christina Angsten, just returned from her 2nd tour in Iraq, and she will be preparing for her 3rd tour beginning in September. She is serving in the Navy on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower. My son, LCpl Robert Angsten, USMC is in Okinowa, Japan, preparing to leave for the Phillipines. I say they are every day heros, because they wake up in the mornings prepared to leave at a moments notice, to possibly lay down their lives for the people they love, and the freedom of all people here. Even those that don't approve of, or support their efforts. In my eyes, that kind of selflessness is what a true hero is made of.
