I have a young friend who is mentally challenged. He loves radio personalities better than ANYONE!!!! He writes to everyone to get their authographs and no one ever sends him one. He wrote you and told you that his dad had died. You sent him a sympathy card which is one of his prized possessions. Don't you just know that whatever radio station you come back to I'm going to be there listening! You're a big man with an even bigger heart!!!!!!!!!!! You've got me as a fan for life! Thanks for caring for all of us!!!!!
Moby, Just remember: "This too shall pass". Everything happens for a reason and I know you're keeping the FAITH and can feel that all will be good for you. I'm looking forward to hearing you on the air again. Thanks for all the encouragement and sincerity you've shown all these years. Hang in there---YEAH BABY!
Moby, if you stay in country, I want to come work with you!(worked at KICKS briefly back in '93) Been in country 13 years, ready to come back to the music I love, after 3 year absence. I'm here in Atlanta now..station wouldn't have to pay moving expenses!! I know how you're loved..my family in KY used to listen when you were satellite. Yeah baby to you...let your light shine! Being real is the way to be!!!
Glade to hear you are comeing back on the aie
I will be so glad when you are back on the air in the Atlanta area. I no longer listen to KICKS and am waiting to hear where to set my radio dials. Miss you!
I HAVE WONDERED WHERE YOU WERE AND WHAT YOU WERE UP TO I FIGURED YOU WOULD SHOW UP SOMEWHERE SOMETIME AND I AM GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU ARE I HAVE QUIT LISTENING TO KICKS IT IS NO LONGER INTERESTING TO ME. GOD BLESS YOU
Can't wait to catch you on the radio again. I stopped listening to kicks the day I found out. When I thought about Kicks, I thought about you Moby. It is harder to face the day without you on the air. YEAH BABY !!!!!
Dear Moby, My commute to work from Central GA to south Metro (45miles) hasn't been the same without you. I will certainly welcome you back to the airwaves. I turned sixteen the year you hit the Atlanta airwaves so you have been my morning riding buddy since I have been driving. It's just not the same without!!! Please hurry!!! April
I was out of town for most of August and found you voice missing from the "Moby in the Morning" and thought what happened? I sent a copy of e-mails to KICKS asking what's going on and they had no courage to respond to me with an answer. Anyway, their loss. Enjoyed many of your stories and laughs on the way to work... looking forward to hearing you soon.
Moby, Miss you and hope you will be back soon. There is not another DJ like you that reminds us of our love for God and Country. God Bless
YEAH BABY!!!!!! WE ARE READY FOR YOU TO COME BACK TO US MOBY>>>THE MORNINGS JUST AIN'T THE SAME WITHOUT YOU SO GET BACK WHERE YOU BELONG ON THE AIR.
Good luck and Godspeed my friend. I know you will always land on your feet!
I really miss you baby, don't listen to KICKS or any other station, it's cd's, tapes, CMT and GAC for me. Also, wanted to talke to you about your eye surgery as I've had an exam at Woodams and am trying to make decision. KIX knows my feelings on giving you the boot, not that they give a rat's behind. Can't wait until you're back on the dial.

My family and I saw the "old radio station" at the North Ga. Fair..... I told my husband "here's your chance.....to tell them how they screwed up by letting Moby [get away]".... Yeah Baby!!! I don't care what kind of music you are in, I'll be there to listen. Love ya!
I was really glad to read that you are still going to be in Atlanta. I have loved your morning show as you have been here. I also love country music; please stay country!
Miss you very much, please let me know when you will be back on the air again. I will only listen to your show.
I must have missed something. I realized one morning that familiar voice wasn't there anymore. I enjoy your show and look forward to locating you on the radio again very soon. Good luck Mr. Moby!
Dear Moby, I was shocked and angry when I found out that you were no longer at KICKS. I have been a loyal KICKS listener for 10 years, but I have learned to change the dial on my radio. I now listen to the AM news stations or personal CD's. I only hope the management at your ex-station understands the number of LOYAL listeners they have lost. I saw you in Roswell for the Memorial Day Celebration and you were nice enough to take the time to stop and have your picture taken with me. I could tell that you were tired, but you did not hesitate to smile and agree to the picture. Over the years, you have made me laugh, cry, and sometimes get angry. I have ALWAYS felt like I was a part of your radio family. I also was listening to you on 9/11 and I will never forget the way in which you and Deborah delivered that fateful news--with compassion and professionalism. Please stay in Atlanta. We love you! Yeah Baby, Melanie
Finally, we found you. We have missed you soooooooooo much. My little girl, Tara, said the pledge for you last year around Christmas. She was 4 then and you pushed the wrong button and erased the tape!!!! She did it again the other day for Caddy, she said she liked him but she wanted to talk to you!! He wouldn't comment on anything. I just wanted you to know that although I don't always agree with everything you say, I think you are great! Come back soon!!!!!! yea baby!!
i miss hearing you every morning i could count on you making me happy
I have truly enjoyed all the years of hearing you on the radio. It just isn't the same any more, I have nothing I want to listen to on the way to work in the mornings now. I do like Bill and Jill is okay too although I've really missed Deborah, but it's different. One thing I did like was your honesty and no puton. I liked your compassion, patriotism, good heartedness and of course your quick witedness. The first few days I noticed you weren't on in the morning I thought you were on vacation, but the second week I knew something was wrong. I couldn't believe it. I hope you get on a radio station that I can listen to (country or oldies). Good luck and may God be with you.
Moby, We have missed you so much. My girls and I will follow you where ever you go. You make our day! Always stay the way you are, the world has enough of people you try to be something they are not. Good Luck to you and your family. We eagerly await your return.
sent to KICKS' - you are the best D.J. in the South!!! Can't wait to hear your voice on the airwaves again, PEACHES!!!! We've certainly missed you.........
My mornings aren't the same without hearing your voice! I hope to hear you on another station soon. Take care.
Miss you man hurry back so we can stop listening to 750 talk radio we never get to hear any yeah babies on the way to work take care hear you soon yeah baby
Daisy
Moby, I have stopped listening to the country radio stations in the morningtime since you have been off the air. I really enjoyed the eleven years that you were on KICKS and hope to hear you again very soon. If it is to be on a rock station then I believe that I will change my listening preference from country to rock. I have been a devoted fan of KICKS for the last 11 years, I remember the first day that you were on the air at the station, but I will no longer listen. Thanks for all the great times on the radio and I wish the very best to you and your family in the future.
Hey Moby,I used to listen to you in Houston about a 1000 years ago! I can't BELIEVE that picture of Jonah! I remember you talking about him whne he was born! Beleive it or not I was just searching for some of those funny songs you used to play like "Men" and "Texas Bitch" and I stumbled across your website. Sorry to hear that they let you go. I guess the radio people in Atlanta aren't any smarter than the one's in Houston. You should here the crap we have now! What used to be 97 Rock is still a bunch of pop crap and 101.....I though Stevens and Pruett were bad! Now we have Walton & Johnson!! I won't even listen to that station until after 10am! Hope things work out for you. YEAH BABY!!
Moby - YEAH BABY! What a blessing to know that you are about to be on the airwaves loud and proud! I listened to you years ago in Houston while visiting with relatives and after coming back home found you to be here on the air! My daughter and I were lucky enough to meet you out so many times during your "public appearances", including "SANTA" at the Festival of Trees! I've lost count at the number of calls, e-mails and letters that I've sen

Hi Moby. I lived in Houston in 1990, and remember you well from the airwaves there. Much to my surprise, when I returned to Atlanta in 1995, there you were! Hope to hear you again real soon!
Moby, I used to listen to you in Dallas back in my high school days (South Garland). All I can remember is this hilarious song you used to sing called 'Texas Bitch.' Please, please, add a link to this site with a recording of it. Thanks and good luck.
MOBY COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Grew up in Houston listening to Moby & Mathews in the Morning on 97 Rock. Left there in ‘83. Moved to Atlanta in ‘95. One morning after moving there I was searching through the stations for music I could listen to. “Well there’s a familiar voice...” That was quite a treat to hear you again after so many years. Of course I then heard country music and quickly turned off that channel, but that’s another story. I would still occasionally flip over to hear you just for memory sake. I have since moved back to Houston. Yea, they could really use your help here, but Atlanta is a much nicer city to live so I wouldn’t blame ya for staying there. Best of luck!
Miss you, Moby.
It's not the same "loving, fun, informative, morning anymore.. it will NEVER be the same. :( Wishing you the very best and sending many blessings your way in whatever you do!
I've enjoyed you from your first day on KICKS....I really miss you....hope it won't be long before I can hear YEAH BABY again...
we just did not know what happened to you my husband and i are faithful listners and miss ya
Nice to hear the Moby man is just moving down the dial. Make sure I'm on the announcement list and I'll put it in the Mouth.
Miss you in the morning!!!
Wish you all the best in whatever you decide to.
Can't wait to hear the news - I've missed you.
Moby, I miss you. I think kicks was crazy for letting YOU go, you were the best thing they had going for them. Please let me know what radio station is the lucky one, when you know for sure. YEAH BABY!!!!!
Hurry back as I miss you
I'm so glad that you decided to stay in Atlanta. I'll be greatful when you're up and running again on the air. The morning drive just hasn't been the same without you. Take care and Yeah Baby!!!
Great to hear from you and can't wait to hear you again on "A" radio station. We have all missed you and look forward to enjoying you once again.
MY MORNINGS JUST AREN'T THE SAME WITHOUT YOU, MOBY. NOT ONLY DID YOU MAKE A CONVERT OUT OF THIS ROCK AND ROLL BABY BOOMER BUT I DO SO APPRECIATE YOUR "WHAT YOU SEE IS THAT YOU GET" PERSONA. YOU ARE REFRESHIHG AND YOU ARE REAL - THE HIGHEST COMPLIMENT I EVERY GIVE.... HURRY BACK- I MISS YOU IN THE CAR WITH ME EACH MORNING....HAVE STARTED LISTENING TO AM RADIO AGAIN UNTIL YOU RETURN.
HI! I have listened to you all of my life and I have really missed not waking up to your voice...you are sooo funny. When we would go to Florida and couldn't pick up the KICKS station, by the end of the week I would miss you. Whatever you decide to do, you have my support...although I really hope you decide to continue in the Country Music business! Luv Ya, Carla "Yeah baby!!!" :0)
When I moved from Atlanta to Nashville, you were the one thing I missed the most. Even though Nashville is the heart of country music (so they claim), most of the DJ's here stink (and you probably know the ones I'm referring to). I just hope your new radio home will be internet accessible so I can listen to you once again. Good luck to all of you! And thanks for continuing to be you.

Moby, we are so glad to here that you will be back on the air. We miss you and Kick sounds just is not the same at all without you. We was you on the Marietta square & I wanted to offer any support we could for you to start your own radio station. I in the funeral home business, and its the people that make the differance like your self, not where you work. Keep us informed. Your listners Eddie, Debbie, & Alexis Lummus
Have missed you greatly in the morning. Bill and Caddy are good but they belong in different time periods...not AM Drive. Didn't really appreciate the crap put out in the paper regarding reason for you leaving..."sounds too Southern". My gosh, you ARE Southern and this IS the South contrary to what some folks think! Hang tough and believe me, my dial will change as soon as I know where you are. (Heard from someone in the business that it's going to be Fox but I'll wait for you to announce it.) Hope things are going well for you, MaryBeth and Jonah. Aren't you glad you aren't going to have to move away from him!?!?!? YEAH, BABY!
I have listened to you almost from the start & I was floored when you were gone. Where ever you go I to will go. You have helped me through many rough times & I just love listening to you. Hang in there YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!
Moby, I didn't even listen to country until you came to Atlanta. My sister used to listen to you in Texas, and she talked about you before you ever came to Atlanta. I don't care what station you go with, that will become my favorite music, because YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!

Hi,Moby! Debra, Chad's mom. I am so glad to hear you are doing well. We have missed you in the morning and can't wait to get you back on the airwaves. I keep you, Mary Beth and Jonah in my prayers..
Missin' ya man! You bein' a good ol' redblooded patriotic american just belong in Atlanta.Almost got misty eyed myself listening to ya last september. One Nation Under God we are! Regardless of the "Peoples Republic of California" opinion!
Dang, I still miss you waking my up. I'm sure you've been hearing that over and over but I just wanted to say it too. I haven't laughed out loud in the morning since you've been gone. Please hang around....and let us know where you are!
YOU are MISSED! Hurry back!
Moby, I have missed the morning show so much, you can't even believe it. I felt like you were part of my family. Getting up in the mornings and not having you there, well....you know how we all feel, it has been such a transition. When I hear 101.5 now say "it's all about the music," it makes me ill. Even turning on 106.7 feels like a betrayal, and I don't like the way that feels at all. I was devoted to you, and have been for over 10 years now. Oh well, I can't wait to hear you again. I love you with all my heart.
Great to hear you're on the way back.
We listened to you in Houston when we lived there & here in Atlanta since fall 1991. Hurry Back.
Moby I sure do miss not hearing you in the mornings on the way to work you have made me laugh and made me cry Good luck in all you do God Bless you and your Family
Mr.Moby Things haven't been the same without you on the radio.I have listened to for the past 10 years and I can't wait till you come back. You always would say things that would make my day and when I found out you were gone it was a sad day. Before you left I talked my daughter in law into listening to you and she really enjoyed your show.My other daughter in law was crushed when she heard you left. She enjoyed listening to you on her way to work.SHe is a teachers aide for mentally challenged children in Gwinnett County. You always did so much for everyone Moby.PLEASE HURRY BACK.May God Bless You and your family.YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moby, you were "Kicks"!!!!!!! It is so totally ridiculous! I refuse to even listen to their station any more & now only listen to 104.3 out of Dalonega & 97.1. My daughter & I have attended the Alatoona Fishing Tournament that you've hosted in the past & other outing that you've promoted. We just think it gets no better than you in the DJ business! Please e'mail me whenever your life becomes more certain in the workforce to let us know where we may continue to listen to you. Please continue to be the Moby we all listen to and love. Sincerely, Debbie Pierce
I haven't listened to the radio in the morning on the way to work since you have been gone.
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?????
Dear Moby, Before I left to move to Nashville for a while, I listened to you a lot and I liked your morning show. I was pleased with things I heard. Everyone is entitled to be who they are, I know I am who I am and I feel I am right in the freedom of speaking what I think. I do know some of the other DJ's here and some are okay but there is one in particular that I think is false and I don't see how this person has gotten so far. I will be listening and looking to see where you go. Good luck and I am glad you will still be in Atlanta. A lot of people don't really know country, I am tired of the people who is supposed to be country selling their wars elsewhere. I'm glad you are country and I know you have values, I've heard them. Take care.
Oh how our family misses you. We can not wait till you get back on the radio. We have listened to KICKS even before it was a FM station in fact it was WPLO AM with Honest John Fox. I myself have never flipped through radio stations until now and when you get back on the air I know I will not have to change them any more. I hope it is real soon. WELCOME BACK. YEAH BABY!!!!!!
Mr. Moby, PLEASE let us know as soon as you can about where you are headed. I miss hearing you in the mornings and I WILL change stations in a heart beat. Even if it means I am stuck listening to gansta' rap!!! HA! I have listened to you since you first came to Atlanta (I was 15) and will listen to you as long as I can. I will always be one of your Peaches. You have been there for us all in times of need and I really don't know how I would have gotten by without you during the deaths of my parents. I never called in about their deaths but you still ended up saying things at those times that I needed to hear. Thank you for all the time you have give us and thanks for becoming part of my "family". Sincerly, Mollie Bland
I hope to be able to hear you soon. Miss you.
YEAH BABY!!!!!This is the best news I could possibly hear today. I miss you greatly. And you can rest assured that whatever station you go to I will definitely become a fan. Love you....
Since you have left the KICKS station, I refuse to listen to it. I can't wait to hear you back on the air again!
HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON! TAKE CARE!!
I sure miss you being with me every morning on the ride into work. So happy you will be back on a station in Atlanta. I to like so many others e-mailed the gm of Kicks to let him know how I felt. Let us know. Yeah Baby
you were the best dj that kicks had. you are truly missed. i no longer care that radio station. I always thought your accent was very southern, and this is the south .... I thought.....HURRY BACK TO COUNTRY MUSIC
We couldn't believe the news when we heard about what KICKS did. It's not nearly the same without you, Moby! We're not the same devoted fans and seldom listen to the morning show, any more. We'll be with you wherever you land. Let us know!!! We enjoyed you on the radio - it was like listening to a friend. We miss you!!!!! YEAH BABY!!!!! Debbie and Sarah
I can't wait till you are back on the air, no matter where. I will be there. Mornings just aren't the same without you!
I am so very glad you're coming to another station! I have never been so shocked when "one monday morning" you were not on the show, and no one was saying anything about your where-a-bouts. I knew then something was wrong. I do feel you're an honest, caring, giving person who really cares about what the audience thinks. I've missed your voice and all your every day comments. Hope you get back to radio real soon ! I'm waiting ! This coming from paulding county. Yeaaaaaa Babbbbby
Okay - I'll admit it - I'm a Yankee...BUT I'm a Yankee that absolutely loves you Moby! My 8-year-old daughter was asking me the other day where you were and I didn't have an answer. Now I do - how sad for the management at 101.5. I, like all the others listed here on this message board, will not be listening to that radio station any more. I've laughed with you, cried with you, worried with you, and now I just plain MISS you! You are so loved and appreciated. What goes around comes around - you shall have the last laugh! We love you and look forward to hearing your beautiful (and sexy!) southern voice on the air waves soon!
Can't wait to see where and when you will pop up again. Hope it's very soon.
My mornings are just not the same, come back on the air soon! I still can not believe how stupid KICKS was, I hope they go bankrupt.
We do not even turn the radio on in the mornings anymore. Hurry and sign what ever needs to be signed, we miss you at the Andrews (Gutierrez) household!!
I just read you might be coming to another station! I can't wait. I really enjoy listening to you. I think you have a really big heart the way you treat special need kids. My daughter plays for the sunshine league in henry county so if you get back to a station and want to play another game like in fayette keep us in mind. god bless and good luck with the impending deal!
Moby, I almost cried when I found out the news! Now, I'm lost in radio heck without you! Country music makes me sad cause it reminds me of listening to you every morning on my way to KSU. I'm so mad at Kicks I've taken them off my preprogrammed stations. NEVER to listen to them again! I'm sure that most of your fans feel the same! Stay in Atlanta and hurry back on the air! YEAH BABY!
Hey cowboy. We hear you are about to reappear here in town. Mornings have not been the same.
Moby, can't wait to hear your voice again. You make the drive time here in atl almost bearable.
Moby, you are greatly missed and hope to hear you back on the radio soon. After 8 yrs. in the Atlanta area and listening to you we have switched to another station never to return to wkhx. We are from the north and loved your southern drawl. The excuse they used to not renew your contract only made them look real stupid. Please let us know where we can find your new home. Your are greatly missed. Oh, my husband wants you to know they have 4 radios at work and were always tuned in to listen to you no matter where in the building they would be and all 4 radios now have changed stations.YA BABY!!!!!!!
Hey Moby....glad to hear you may be on the airways again soon...somehow I knew you would. Have always listened to your show....went to high school with y our neighbor Gary Waddell....met your wife at the Heart Fund Show in Gilmer County last year....your sincerity and your love of people are apparent. I wish the best to you and your family. YYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH BBBBBBAAAAAAABBBBBBYYY!!!
I miss you. I now listen to the Dahlonega station that plays Country.
Happy to hear that Moby may be coming back to the Atlanta airwaves. Even happier to hear that an Atlanta station may be going to a country format to give everyone an alternative to "that" radio station. And I'm hoping Moby comes back with a stronger Southern accent.
Went on vacation, came back turned on "that" radio station and Moby was not there!! I wrote a letter to GM, said I'd never listen to "that" station again, and I have not. Hope to see and hear you again very very soon, having Moby withdrawals!!!!! Best wishes, and we are thinking and praying for you.
Hey moby! How you doing? I was so mad when i heard about what kicks did to you. I no longer listen to them, I've listened to you throughout my whole life!! If people think you are too southern then obviously they don't need to be living in the South!! Yeah baby!! Good luck to you and God Bless!!!
Hey moby I have listened to you for the past two years on kicks you were the only reason i listened to it,When they let you go i pleaded i would never listen to 101.5 ever again its just not the same it was completley the most ridicouls thing they have ever done. I hope you find a job in the metro area so we can all listen to you once again god bless you, and the USA YEAH BABY!!!!
Hey Moby, I turned on my radio as usual to make the 35 mile morning drive to work. I always tuned you in to make the ride quicker. I din't hear the familiar voice I had listened to for over a decade. MMM I thought I remembered you saying you would be on vacation but no one mentioned "sitting in for you". You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found you were no longer on the air. 101.5 is just not quite the same. At times I did not agree with your views but I did admire you for putting it out there for all to hear. I hope that the new venture works out for you and we get to hear you again soon. God bless you and your family. Yeahhhhh Baby Thanks for the years of good radio Peaches.....
I'm so happy to hear that you'll be back on the radio! After I heard about your departure and read in the AJC about your being too "Southern", I sent the GM of KICKS a scathing email, and the minute I got into my car I deleted 101.5 and 106 from my preset radio buttons, I'm just too "southern" to listen to these stations. Please let us know where you go! Good luck!
I'm sorry that Kicks decided not to renew your contract. I took them orr my radio preset button when I found out but will add whatever station you go to in it's place. You did a great job, hope you wind up at a good station!
Hello, Moby. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. I'm sorry as heck about what KICKS did to you. I read where they (management) claimed all the rude, godless, bedwetting, obnoxious, foul-mouthed, loud-talking, classless Yankees didn't want to hear your beloved Southern drawl on the radio. If those carpetbaggers don't like the way we talk or our Southern way of life, DELTA is ready to fly when they are! I don't recall inviting any of those Yankees down here in the first place to demonstrate their exceptionally poor manners and openly use profanity in front of other people's small children. Native Southerners Love Moby! YEAH, BABY!!!!
For Pete Sakes, finally, something from you. I have listened to your prior show for two years. When you went off I lost MY DJ. In the summer I have my Grandson (9 years old) with me and he listened to your Wake Up song and "The Scotchman's Song". He has called you twice and you talked to him both times. We love listening to you and your comments, both funny and serious. Hurry back. Sandy and grandson Billy
I don't know why you're gone from 101.5 but I'll be glad to hear you back on the radio. Good Luck to you. M. :)
Moby, I have listened to you since I moved to Atlanta from Mississippi 8 years ago and was so upset when all of a sudden you weren't there anymore. I am anxiously awaiting your return to the air.
There is nobody as compassionate as you, Moby, on the radio, or TV, as a matter of fact. I'll never forget when you sang "Amazing Grace" that morning on the radio just for that policeman's widow. Glad to hear you are getting back on the waves. Let us know when & where. Hs

Hey Moby, I can't wait to hear you on the radio again. I'm getting tired of "The Regular Guys", Steve and Vicki are boring, Rubarb is OK, and everbody else is just a bunch of liberal bruh-ha-ha's. Let us know where you are going to be. -Ben Appling
Moby, I had been in San Diego for two weeks and when I turned on the radio that Monday morning and you weren't on, I kept waiting to hear Bill Cellar say he was sitting in for you. On Tuesday morning when you weren't on, I called and asked Bill where you were and he said you were not there anymore, i was shocked, I told him I only went on vacation for two weeks and look what happened, he said yes it's all your fault. I hung up and still couldn't believe it. I am like many others now,on the way to work I just surf the dial. KICKS is isn't the same anymore. Can't wait till you are on the air again.
Glad to hear you maybe back here in Atlanta. My son Mike and I are good fans and miss the hoarse play with you and your crew in the mornings.Hope you have the morning shift when you return, makes the commute a little more tolerable. Joe

You Mr. Moby have touched more lives than i think you can even fathom! in a possitive way this message board is testiment to that in part. their is a greater purpose for us all. do not feel down for what is happened, you are not without family friends or support. we are all still here. you have been provided with a way to grow stronger, reach out farther and touch more! dont pass it up! be good be safe and yeeeeaaaaa BABY !!!!!
Glad to hear there is a possibility of your coming back to Atlanta radio. I was extremely upset when your contract with Kicks was not renewed and had no problem writing an e-mail to the GM of the station complaining. While I do miss Jim and Jill, I have felt disloyal the few times I have tried to listen to Kicks since your departure. I have been just floating around the dial and can't wait until your arrival at the new station. You've always been number 1 on my radio buttons in the car. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
I don't listen to kicks as much as i use to on my drive to work in the morning. Its not the same without you!!!! wherever you go I'll be listening no matter what the music......YEAH BABY
I enjoyed going to your web site. We miss you here in Dallas/Ft.Worth, but looks like you really loved the Atlanta area. Moby several years ago I was working at a little radio station about 50 miles south of Dallas. During a promotion for a new major drag racing track all the stations were invited to race each other. You being the top rated rock jock at the time got alot of attention, even raced your corvette. I want to thank you for being so nice and encouraging to me at that event, you told me hang in there and I would get to bigger markets. Well am not exactly burning up the airwaves or rating but I am working in Dallas radio. Finailly at 45 years old I'm in a major market. Thanks for being so kind and spending some time talking to me all those years ago. I hope what ever station you go too next has streaming audio so I can catch you on the web. Thanks Again. Alan Barnes Dallas Texas
Moby, I am an African American who loves country music(which may sound strange. You were my reason for turning on the radio in the morning. I had not ever seen or heard a DJ with such compassion for his job or his community. I hope you come back soon, it's just not the same without ya!!!!!
way to go
Moby - You've been keeping me company for over 18 years, here in Atlanta, and WAY BACK in Dallas! After moving across the country away from home and family, you were my "touch of family and home" from Dallas. Your honesty, humor and morality has been and always will be welcome in my radio and home!!!! Enjoy your time off.....cause when you turn that mike on again.....the good times will roll!!!! YEAH BABY!
We absolutely love you Moby!!! You MC'd the PAL Policemans Ball in Alpharetta this past February, you were magnificiant!! Thanks for all the great times!! The Chili Cookoff, The Renaissance Festival, all the weddings, births, funerals, THE WHOLE FAMILY THANG!!!!! I have been trying to find out what happened to you and where we could listen to you for the past several weeks... with no avail!!! I have even tried finding out where you were through MAPES. We can't wait to hear you voice in ATLANTA again!!!
Moby, You made my 58 mile ride to work each day relaxing and fun. Thanks for the good times
Keep the faith Moby. Life is full of circles, sometimes you're on the bottom, sometimes you're on the top, but always remember, if you're on the bottom honey, there's only one way to go :-)
Moby, I am glad to hear that you will be coming back to Atlanta radio. You have been greatly missed during my morning drive. I can honestly say I was shocked to hear you were gone and I have not listened to 101 since your departure. I hope all works out for you, please keep in touch and let us know where you land. Take care! Morgan Jackson
Moby, It's not the same without you on the radio. I used to look forward to flipping on the radio when I got to work, now I realize that I've haven't even turned the radio on for a couple of days. I've thought about marking 1.055 miles of Childers road with a sign cememorating it as a MOBY MILE. Haven't done it yet, but I'll wait until you get back on. "I miss my friend."
We have missed you in the mornings. My group is from middle Ga around Macon. We listen to John Boy and Billy in Macon, but come to Atlanta several times a month and always listen to you. We were shocked to turn on the radio and find that you weren't there anymore. We asked around and have not heard why? Hope to find you on the air in the mornings again soon!!!
Sorry to see you leave Kicks..for whatever reason. I loved your morning show because it is southern and country and such a refreshing change from "silly" morning drive shows. I loved the fact that you are real on the air. You, Deborah and Jim were the best trio in the a.m. I sure miss you on air but it was great to see on Sept 11 at Marietta Square. Hope to hear you on air again real soon! Yeah Baby!
Moby- WE MISS YOU! My little 5 year old Katie cried when she heard you had left! On 9-11, you were the person to break the news to me on my way home from taking my kids to school. You're the coolest and most caring person. Things just aren't the same without you! Hurry Back-Yea baby?
Moby,We sure have missed you,I still can't believe that KICK's management fired you.I am looking forward to hear your voice back on the air soon!Yeah!Baby!
Moby, so sorry to see you depart from Kicks. My drive in the morning is now spent listening to CD's and hoping to catch Jim Vann's traffic reports. I was in 7th grade when you joined Kicks. I still can't believe how open you are with your personal life - especially you divorce and then the breakup with Louisiana hotlips! I've seen you at many Kicks related events and was even at the Trisha Yearwood concert when you proposed to Mary Beth. I was at that concert with my then-boyfrind hoping for a ring myself! (We were married May 2002.) And, I'll never forget listening to you on Sept. 11th. You are a true inspiration and I will always be a loyal listener. Take care and hope to hear you again real soon!
As so many others have expressed, I was totally shocked to learn that you were no longer with KICKS after 11 great years. You expressed it well when you said that we are a radio "family". Deborah was terrfic and we miss her as well, Jill does a great job (as does Jim) but you were the mainstay. Even though you don't know me I surely felt part of your fold of loyal listeners. Too bad KICKS threw out the baby with the bath water! I don't know what they were thinking but I can tell you that it's not the same (not detracting from Bill Sellars or Cadillac Jack - they surely have tried to fill the void but to no avail) and I have no interest in listening to KICKS anymore. I think they have lost more than a dj - they have lost a portion of the listening audience that they needed to keep - too bad! As many others, I'm looking forward to hearing about your new adventure and to getting back to a morning routine with Moby again! Oh, and best of luck to you and Mary Beth - so glad you have found happiness.

Like I told the AJC, If Moby's too country for KIX, then by God, I am too. We can't wait to have you back on the air. My kids refuse to let us even scan 101.5 since Moby isn't on it anymore.
I wondered what happened to you! I turned on the radio for weeks wondering when you were coming back or when they'd say what happened. I've missed you in the mornings! I'm looking forward to hearing you again soon!
I wondered what happened to you! I turned on the radio for weeks wondering when you were coming back or when they'd say what happened. I've missed you in the mornings! I'm looking forward to hearing you again soon!
Moby, you tha man! Hang in there and I look forward to you popping up on the radio again in the ATL market soon!
Moby, I echo all the sentiments from the listener comments! My family also stopped listening to KICKS when we found out the bad news. We listen to South107 but it just doesn't compare. Nothing does!!!! Looking forward to hearing you again on the airwaves and getting this 'family' back together - Yeah Baby!
Mobey: I have been wondering where you are. I never heard anything of what happened. I thought you must be ill or on a long vacation. I listened to you every morning while getting ready for work and on my way to work. I miss your great personality and your voice. Look forward to hearing you again soon.
Dear Moby, Hi! I have truely missed you. I moved 2.5 years ago to heal myself from life's journey. You were always there for me the man on the radio. You made me smile and laugh, when it took all my energy to hold my family and our world in tact. You helped me through deaths, catostophic illnesses, miscarriages, and all those parenting issues with your poems, music, and most of all just being you. I have always respected you for your honesty and your search for the truth. Your the man on the radio. Thankyou, for staying here and ending my grieving process. I returned to my home of 35 years (I'm a home grown Mariettan), just to find out you were gone. I'm so glad you decided to stay. My husband will be glad to, becouse he has had to listen to me vent my frustration and anger of your absence. Also, when the clock goes off in the morning I scream and fuss. You have many hours logged talking to me in bed! I look forward to hearing your voice again! Good Luck! Sincerely, Lyn Mathews (If you ever refer to me on the radio, use a pen name!)
Moby, I really do miss hearing you in the morning. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 3 year old son that loved hearing you on the radio. They loved hearing you say YEAH BABY!!!!! Just the other morning my daughter asked me "Where is Mr. Moby" I hope that you do return to radio soon. I am sure that I am not the only one who needs to hear you in the morning to get them going. Sincerely Sharon Massey
Please, get on a country station! My family and I have not listened to KICKS since your departure, and it's the only current country station I can get in my office. Many Thanks, Chief Boring
I've never heard of you. I guess that's why I don't know why your coming "back" to Atlanta is in the AJC.com. Good luck to you anyway. Rich
I no longer listen to 101.5, its a dull ride to work had to go to the 105.7 for music. Keep us informed on what you end up. I was out of town and thought you were on vacation for the first couple of weeks. Good Luck!!!
moby why haven you been on the radio in the morning the past few weeks?
Moby you just hang in there baby! I have been a loyal and devoted listener for a long, long time and you are much missed. The day I heard you were no longer at the station was a sad day for me and mornings are no longer the same. I look forward to hearing you have landed somewhere new and we can begin a new facet of the moby in the morning show. You go Moby, we will follow! Thanks for being there for all us fans-you can count on us being there for you! Barbara Harrell
I too left Kicks when you did. I explained my departure in an e-mail to Kicks Management. I told them I didn't think I'd ever be back. Mr. Sansone, surprisingly, responded to my e-mail. A very nice note, full of holes and little real insight. You, Jim, Deborah and finally Jill (what a tremendous combo) made my ride each morning in from nearly Alabama a pleasure. I've been miserable since. Listening to talk radio (can't believe I'm saying that!!). Good luck wherever you land! Hope it's country, but, if not, I'll just have to adjust!!! The best of everything to you and your family. Yeah Baby!
I have really missed you on my ride to work in the morning!! Good luck with what ever you choose. You are a a very good and honest person and I truly believe also "what you see is what you get" and there is nothing wrong with being yourself!!! God Bless You and your family.
Boy was I disappointed when I found out that Kicks had let you go. The morning show is just not the same, so I no longer listen to it. I was afraid when Debra left that this might happen (I miss her too!!!) I am ready to hear the love and affection you truly have for your listening audience once again!!!! Now that I have found your website, I will be replacing the 101.5 site in my favorites list with your site! Love Ya Moby YEAH BABY
I'm so glad to hear from you Moby, I've missed you on KICKS so much! I was so sad when I heard you were gone and I've wanted to email you and let you know that where ever you go, if I can pick up that station, I will listen to you. I think you are a genuinely good person and the best DJ that I've ever listened to and I was a faithful listener the whole time you were with KICKS. Your friend, Tina Johnson
Moby, We listened to you when we were in Houston and then when you left we didn't know where you went. We left Houston and ended up in Johnson City, Tn and spent 12 yrs there and moved here and we found you again. I enjoyed your show so much and its not the same with you gone and I think they made a big mistake because you were the morning show. Moby you have helped a lot of people and will be missed and will keep watching for the next station you will go too. Oh by the way I still remember the old saying from Houston when you told the people to "Wake up Houston and get your lazy asses out of bed" and now Yeah Baby so take care and always be the same kind person you have been Your friends Tom and Ruth Simpson
I've missed my ride to work with you. The station is just not the same without you. I've listened to you since the beginning, I remember the big billboard in Kennesaw on Cobb Parkway wondering who's Moby. Miss you lots.
look forward to hearing you again soon.
look forward to hearing you again soon.
Looking forward to hearing you on the airwaves again Moby!
When you left WKHX so did I. Can't wait to listen to you again. I hope you stay country, but I'll adapt to rock if necessary. You have a huge fan base out here that will be willing to go wherever you go! Have a great day....YEAH BABY!
I miss hearing you in the morning, 101.5 isn't the same, it's hard for me to even turn it on since you aren't there!! Can't wait to find out where you are going, let us know as soon as you can!!!
Miss You!
Moby, Having you around for these 11 years has been very comforting to me as you are a very familiar voice to my ears and that voice brings back great memories of our youth, from the "Grave Yard Shift" @ KDF, To the St.Pete, station (I forgot the call letters), to Houston, and then Dallas, I tuned in every chance I could get as not only a fan but a friend. When you came to Atlanta, I was very pleased and listened every chance I got. You are a great entertainer and a very warm person that I am proud to count you as a friend. Good luck in your new endeavor, I know it will be great and I'll keep my ears open for your familiar voice. Best wishes, David
Moby, As you can see you are very well loved here in Atlanta. Of course you know that. I was on maternity leave when you left Kicks, or from what I understand, they let you go. So my mornings were usually trying to get some sleep while my newborn slept. So I was not listening to the radio, unfortunately. Then when I returned to work, you were not on the air. I thought you were on vacation or something, that was until I logged into the Kicks webpage. I was severely disappointed. I have two children now, one is almost 9 and thankfully she was lucky enough to hear you on Kicks and she loves listening to you. She is very upset that she can not listen to you before she goes to school. Hopefully, my other daughter who is 13 weeks today will get to listen to you soon. She loves music already more than my oldest. And I will hear you soon on the radio, because I need the company on the way to work in the morning. The baby sleeps so I have no company. What was the reason that you are not a part of the Kicks station anymore? If the reason is that you were too southern, oh please, this is Georgia and we are southern. Even some of the djs on the country stations in Baltimore sound southern. It is country music. Thanks for part of our lives for 11 years. I can not wait until you are part of the family again soon. Yeah Baby!!!!!
am really excited to hear you are still in the Atlanta area. We do not listed to Kicks anymore. My daughter and I ride together to work everyday and now it is Macon station and CD's. They really made a big mistake. Keep us in the loop
Hey man, Just a quick note to say hi. It's been a while since we talked before I left KICKS but I never thought they'd make a mistake like this one. You never know, do you? I saw in the paper that you might have a new deal somewhere else. I hope so. You do good radio and there aren't many of us left. My wife and I closed and sold our cafe and I've been home playing Mr. Mom for the past year or so. I know your situation hasn't hurt you financially but it just too bad our business has taken the path it has in so many cases. Anyway, take care and I hope there is a new country station in the near future. Atlanta needs a real station again. Both of the old ones seem not to have any direction these days. Take care, good luck and let's get a cup again one day. Chris
Please let me know what station you will be at. I miss listening to you. Ya Baby
I Have listened to since your first day in Atlanta. Can't wait for you to get back on the air.
good luck moby,,i know you'll be a hit anywhere you go
Just to let you know you are missed greatly!! I like many others I am sure, have quit listening to the morning show. It just isn't the without you there! Hope to hear from you soon!!!! May God Bless You and your family!!
I miss hearing your voice in the morning - the tears you brought to us. Keep us informed where your going and I promise that will become my new radio home.
Moby, It's just not the same in the morning. I have listened to you since I moved to Georgia 7 years ago? When will you be back?
Can"t wait ta hear that voice over tha air again.
Dear Moby, I have been listening to the morning show since the beginning, I certainly miss the personality and energy you add to the show. It was a surprise not to have you there since we always knew if you had a vacation or leave coming up. Because of you, the morning show was my favorite on any radio. Hope to hear you back soon, but of course country is my favorite music.
I was disappointed when I learned that you were no longer on WKHX. I really enjoyed listening to you each morning. Then when I read in the newspaper that you had been let go for being "too Southern," I got really really angry. What in the heck is "too Southern?" As a Georgia born and bred citizen, that was really insulting to me. I appreciated the fact that you shared your life with the listeners and I know it helped other people going through difficult times. I'll be keeping my eyes and ears open to see where you will wind up - hopefully it will be a country station and I can listen to my favorite DJ once again. Best of luck to you and thanks for all the laughter and yes, even sometimes, the tears. You made the morning drive into work bearable and I really miss hearing "Yeah Baby" and "Peaches."
Moby, I am also a loyal fan of yours, and got to meet you in person at a "Toys for Tot's" meeting in downtown atlanta, a few years ago. Please just let me know what station you will be on and I will be there for you. Tell Jonah and MaryBeth we said Hi. Priscilla Sue aka firelady44
Moby, I miss you more than I could ever tell you. I have really enjoyed listening to you over the years. In fact, you are the reason I listened to, oh you know, that radio station that had the nerve to let you get away. Please let all of us know where we can tune in to hear you again. You are truly a "Southern Gentleman". May GOD bess you and your family. YEA!!!!!!!BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moby, my children and I do miss you. I have stopped listening to KICKS since you left. Please let us know where you will be next. Thanks for the past 11 years of laughs and mascara alerts..
Moby, Ordinarily, I don't pay much attention to public people (politicians, celebrities, etc.,) but you are always someone to whom I listened. You reflected the heart of what we should be. Especially since 9-11 we have been a country trying to go back to the good old values we always talked about--God, country, family, heroes. This is something I always received from your broadcasts and I think it is something you tried to convey. If the philosophy at WKHX changed away from that, it is their loss. We miss you, hurry back. Andy
My family and I have missed listening to you when we all come in to work. Can't wait to hear you again. Where is the Peaches at?? Yeah Baby!!
Good Morning Mr. Moby!!!! We Miss you and are praying for you and the family. Hope to hear you again real soon. God will take care of ya man dont woryy about it.
Mr. Moby, I was heartbroken, one morning I tune in to my one and only country radio station and you weren't there. I think that it was a very terrible mistake for 101.5 - So since I have been lost in the mornings - I have been forced to listen to am news or nothing at all - I have listened to your program since you came to Atl. - I wish you the very best - and remember "Everything happens for a reason - this just means that God is placing before you an even even better opportunity". Yeah Baby, from a fellow Tennessean
HAVE MISSED LISTENING TO YOU. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU WILL BE AND I'LL BE LISTENING AGAIN
Hi Moby! To be honest with you Moby, I am not a country music fan. I like the Dixie Chicks and Dolly Parton but that is about it. I just want you to know you have this rock fan behind you 100%. My co-workers listen to THAT station you used to be on and the new guy has not impressed me at all. I would stop and listen to you but I just keep walking when I hear dull baby. ROCK ON MR. MOBY and remember WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. Can I get a YEAH BABY?
Hurry back. Every morning I come down 400, hit I-85, and then take I-75 on in to work. I could use your company!
hi moby. i am so glad i found your web page. i miss you!!!! you have been a part of our lives for 12 years and you are so missed!!! plus we now have no radio station to listen to. i hope you and mary beth and jonah are well. you are in our thoughts. you know on september 11, this year we missed you and your thoughts of that evil day. i read in the paper you may soon be back on the air here in atlanta. YEA BABY!!!! i don't care if it is rap music(OUCH). i am there love ya big guy. take care!!!!
I really miss hearing you in the mornings. My commute just isn't the same. I can't wait to hear where you'll be turning up next, so I can tune in!
I am so happy to find this site. I did not know it existed until my husband read an article and it showed this link. I heard you were already on a station in another state, I guess that is wrong! I cant wait to hear you again. I was totally shocked at your disappearance. Glad to know you are still here among us. YEAH BABY!
I'm not a 100% true country fan, but when I listened, it was you. But 101.5 has been taken off my dial. I was born, raised, and still live in Lawrenceville Georgia and enjoy hearing someone with a southern accent. There aren't many "TRUE" southerners left. Can't wait to hear you again. If that guy over at 101.5 wants to hear a yankee, tell him Greyhound, Delta, Amtrak, they are heading north EVERYDAY!
It's wonderful you might be going back on. ATL has not been the same without ya.
Absolutely can't wait for you to be back on the airwaves. Looking forward to more years together. Yeah baby!
I have really missed listening to your show and have not tuned in to 101.5 since you left. Can't wait to find out what station you will be on !!!!!!
I have grandsons Beau and Zach that are my pride and joy. Beau is 13 and Zach is 11 - Zach is your number 1 fan and misses you very much - we have just about converted Beau - Hope things work out real soon, we miss you - luv and prayers are with u
Miss you, and I pray for you and your family. You will be back.
Hang in there. I'm sure God has a greater plan for you.
I,like so many others agreed and disagreed with you at times, but I did like your morning show. I remember when you first came to Atlanta and also listened to KICKS when it was WBIE of Marietta. I also liked Jim with you and Debra Richards on the morning show. I don't know why she left but she was good for the show. Come back soon. YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don"t listen to kicks 101.5 anymore.its 106.7 now
Good morning Moby and "Yeah Baby"! I was dumb founded as anyone else when I heard you were no longer with KICKS 101.5 and needless to say the morning show has not been the same without you. You brought tears to my eyes and laughter while driving on my way to work every morning. This Radio Ranger thing they have going now, sounds so childish! I can not wait to hear what station you are going to, because that's what station my radio will be tuned into from then going forward. You are truly missed by the country listeners and still very much loved. Waiting on the edge of my seat for the Moby in the Morning to return to the airwaves. Love ya, DaWana
look forward to hearing you on the air again. like you, i just didn't want to leave this town. hope it works out. connors
Moby, I miss you so much on my morning commute! I've been a listener since you came to Atlanta (Yes really. It's weird but you really get to feel like you know someone personally after so long even if you haven't ever met them face to face.Your insight has helped me through a lot of different times in my life and I hope as listeners we (your radio family) has helped you through a lot of yours.Hope to hear you again real soon.-Michelle
MOby; I left ATlanta in July for a job with the Army in Europe. Sorry to hear about the short sightedness of some folks at KICKs. THey just never seem to know when they got a good thing. Old army saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it". Hope and know the future holds great things for you in your life and career.
Miss you like crazy Moby. Can't wait til you are on the air again. It doesn't matter what kind of music you play, I'll be listening. Hope to hear you soon. NPJ
Morning radio has not been the same without you! Country or not, I cannot listen to 101.5 in the mornings without hearing my morning pal for the ride. I hope you're back in Atlanta radio soon. Miss you.
I'm confused! What happened?
Someone needs to produce a radio station for Moby and Jeff Foxworthy! Man would that be a great mornng show or what... Take Care Moby and God Bless You! Trent, Amber, Jonah and Elizabeth Johnston

Bulletin from the Coconut Telegraph: I am still waiting for lunch. Since you don't have a job, I will pick up the check. Domestic iguna is the trend here. Tastes like chicken. Come see me before you get another job and get caught in the rat race. Joe Grenazian and Bobby Harper headed down this saturday.
I love your morning show moby and i will be looking forward to your next station where you work

Moby - My husband and I had an appointment last night with Dixie Homecrafters and they gave me the best news in days! They told me that it looked like you
might be staying in Atlanta and had found another radio home. I can't wait to hear you again and was excited to find this site. We lost my grandmother and mother-in-law within four days of each other recently and would have loved to have heard a hymn from you during those trying times. I met you in Peachtree Center this past year when I worked for Arthur Andersen. Of course, that job is gone after 7 years but I have a new job now that is much closer to home - I'm a firm believer that God leads a person to the right place at the right time. We may not like it at the time but He gets us to the right place. We love you and can't wait to hear you again! Tricia
I miss you in the mornings!! I hope you start at another radio station very very soon. I'm having Moby withdrawals :) And tell Mary Beth that the Battle of the Sexes questions are terrible now. I've only listened to it a few times since you left, mostly right after you left. I kept waiting to hear some explanation of where you were but finally realized they weren't going to say a thing. Love you, Moby! yeah baby!
Are you the same Moby that i grew up listening to on 97Rock and 101 KLOL? If so,let me say that i remember many a morning laughing like hell on the way to school. I left Houston in the late 80's for college and now I'm back...There is a vacuum here in the radio that Moby should come back and fill...please somebody tell me if I have the right guy here so I don't keep going on like a ***... Thanx Lonny...aka Almost Human
I made a decision to never listen to "that" station again, and I have not. Since old Ruby Dubie's (sic) program is also controlled by the same station, I quit listening to it as well. Now is Peach or Randy and Spill. Can't wait for you to land and bring some excitement back into radio.
Hi Moby, We have moved to Florida now but we all looked forward to the time when we would get to Columbus, Ga. because we knew we would be able to pick your station up when we got to that point. What's happened, you are not their any more and it just doesn't seem like the same station any more. I have children & grand children that have listened to you and learned to love country music listening to your show. I guess you can say that you helped raise them by teaching them the better things in life. My granddaughter is 17 now going on 18 and she loves Country Music the best and I will always believe it is because she had to listen to it all the time when we were at work or just traveling. It was your show she liked best. Please let us know where you will be and I hope it is Country because that just seems to be you. We would like to still listen to you when we come to Atlanta since we can't hear you in Gulf Breeze, Fl. Wish you were here. No matter what you do, we wish you the best and wanted you to know that you have been a blessing to all of us.
Moby I have listened to you all my life. I'm wondering when I will get to hear the voice of Moby on Kicks again I have listened to you for the 17 yrs of my life, and already miss the Moby in the Morning show.
Moby, I have been a listener since the day that your show was broadcast on my local station in Clarksburg, WV (WKKW). When you went off the air here, I still listen, when I could, to your show on the Internet. I too went through some changes in the last few months. The company that I work for more that 10 years decided that they did not need my level of management anymore. The stress and uncertainty was tough over the last four months, but I'm happy to say that I just received and accepted a new career. This time in my life has made me a better; husband, farther, son, and brother. You too will come out of this time better. Keep your faith and stay positive, as this appears to be coming to a new chapter in your life as well. From a listener in WV, Yea Baby!
Five years ago I started listening to a funny guy in the AM that called everyone peaches. He turned me to country. I could not tear myself away from his sincerity, honesty and general love for his audience. Most of which he will never meet. Your morning show became part of my AM routine and I miss it. Yes, we'll follow you to another station. It's not the music we tune in for. See ya soon.
Moby, I'm sorry to hear of your departure from the station in Atlanta. I'm a fan from the ole 97 rock days in Houston. We could sure use a great morning man like yourself in Houston to make us laugh again. I'm sure I'm not the only person in Houston who remembers your great personality and sense of humor. I would hope that maybe some day you could come back to Houston and really make us laugh again. Take Care and I wish you much success in your future. Gob Bless Michael A. Rivera
YEAH BABY MOBY- YOU COULD NEVER KEEP A SECRET BEFORE WHY START NOW. WE LOVE YOU MOBY HURRY UP AND GET BACK ON THE RADIO. EDITH PASCHAL THANKS SO MUCH FOR SENDING ME THE POEM DUST IF YOU MUST
Dear Moby: My household is lost with you in the mornings - we listened to you for over 8 years daily and you are sorely missed. We went on vacation and came back to find you not there. We think KICKS made a big mistake in not keeping you on and hope their ratings show that. Your heart felt communications with your radio audience touched many lives, especially ours and we love you for it! The BS in the AJC about the 'southern drawl' thing is just exactly that - BS! You hang in there and much love, peace and happiness to you and yours.
Kicks will have a shock when the ratings come out and they have lost their butt. You sure are missed on Atlanta radio. Hurry back!!
Moby it was a snowy morning in Atlanta that I first heard you. As the South was getting shut down by a blizzard. From that time on every time I got near Atlanta in the Morning I had to have my dose of Moby. And then God smiled on us for a while. A station here in Savannah carried your show, until the station was sold and changed the format. Yeah Peaches we sure would like to have a big ol' dose of Moby. So maybe some fine day real soon. Till then God speed and a big ol' YEAH BABY!!!
Moby, please keep on keeping on ... we're with you. God Bless You.
I don't care what station you end up on, just as long as you're in Atlanta. You really should start up your own country station. That would be awesome!! I'll always be a country girl, but I'll listen to whatever station you're on (as long as it's not rap!! Ha! Ha!). You been doing a lot of hunting lately? If you go with Jerry H. any time soon, tell him I said "Hi." I hope you get a bigger buck than him!!! Ha! Ha! Love ya, Kelli
we miss you moby
Since the first day I moved down here and headed to my new job in atlanta 7 years ago. I would comute from Ellijay(still do) I scanned the radio to find something to listen to. That is when I found you Moby. I listened for about 5 minutes and was hooked. You had put a smile on my face that very instant. I have since had my wake up alarm changed to wake up to you. You are great Moby and I do miss you dearly. I really hope to hear you back very soon. I hope you save my email address to let me know what station you will finally be on. Until then, I will continue to visit your home page for updates. Take care to you and your family. A.L.F.A. slveboy {:Ţ
I miss you on the radio. You just brighten my day and my children's. We listen to you in the morning waiting for the bus. I also miss Deborah. What happened to the morning crew? I have been listening to you since you came to Atlanta. I have always loved your opinions you are very direct! I love that. That is why the first amendment was wrote. Freedom of speech. "If you do not like it do not listen to it!" That is what I say. Hope to hear you again here in Atlanta. Love Colleen Plummer and Family
YEAH BABY!!!!!
I was shocked when I found out the I, for no known reason, was not able to listen to your show in the week day mornings. Can't wait to hear you back on the air. Simper Fi.
Moby, stopped by your website I know the listeners will follow you even if your new gig isn't country.....because you are able to put into words what so many of us feel. You aren't afraid to show your heart and soul when talking about your family or your country. Proud to be a friend.....PS: when do I get my copy of "This is the Day" back?
Moby, First off I want to say that I miss you dearly in the mornings. I listened to you every day. I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication to this great country, as well as to our military and law enforcement personnel. Your support means so much to me. I am engaged to a DKPD police officer/ USMC tanker (reserves) and wonder daily if and when he will be activated to help in the war against terrorism. I hope that you will be around if and when that day comes. I do not expect my Marine to be here for Christmas, but hope you are around to help me get through the day. I will listen to any station that you are on. Take care Peaches. P.s I really enjoyed meeting you at the Emerald Society Banquet this year. WE LOVE YOU and MISS YOU DEARLY!! YEAH BABY
Moby, I really miss your great show each morning and I hope that you will be back someplace soon. You are like family to the extent that even though I have never met you, I feel that if I saw you, I would know you as though we had known one another for many years. You provided a great service keeping us entertained in that horrendous traffic each morning.
Any where that you go on Atlanta radio I will follow. Yeah Baby!!!!!!
you have to get back on the radio we miss you
you are missed so much.... hurry back to all of us
Was great to talk with you today Moby, couldn't figure out where you were when I got back in country. Now that I know, am very saddened. Please know that we love you and will be waiting to find out where we can tune in again to hear your voice. God Bless!! Pam
Hey Peaches! You are a very missed man!! We love you very much and of course KNOW Kicks made a very BIG mistake!! I am praying for you and know GOD will provide for you and your family. Please let us know where your path takes you and we will be there. YEAH BABY!
Moby, I was very surprised to see that my old boss actually posted on the board. Dennis I was surprised to hear that you had moved back to Atlanta. The place was certainly not the same when you left!
Greetings to you Moby from Riverdale, Ga. I've listened to you for the past 11 years when I tuned my radio to you one morning while driving in to work. I can't begin to tell you how much your voice is missed by me every morning on the radio. Every time I asked you to send me poems you would. Hearing your voice always seemed to lighten and brighten up everyone in the morning and I'm sure that we will hear it again soon in the Atlanta area because that is where your fans want to hear your voice again. whatever station it is I'll be tuning you in and you can count on that.
I woke up one day and realized you weren't there anymore...I tend to sleep in and work late and the radio and you were always there to keep me company whenever I got up to go potty, or rolled over or whatever. In the beginning, this jaded New Yorker thought you were SUCH a redneck. I've been in Atlanta since 1988 and over the years, I've come to appreciate the morning family you've created. So much so that I won't be listening to KICKS anymore without you. I guess I'll try the Eagle or Peach. Or silence. Please add me to your email update list and feel free to use any/all of this letter to help get you back on the air in Atlanta where you belong. Only please, on a decent station...no hard rock, etc, okay? Yeah, baby! Regards to you and your family, Linda T. Dennison
What can I say except I miss you VERY much!! I certainly hope to hear you soon somewhere in Atlanta. My morning ride to work just isn't the same. Best of luck!!! Please let us know what's going on in your life. YEAH BABY!!!
I lived in Atlanta from 1994 - 1998 and started every morning with Moby. I now travel to Atlanta about once a month, for 4 days or so, on business. I was STUNNED when I turned on KICK's and Moby wasn't there!!!! Where ever your new opportunity leads you, I wish you nothing but THE VERY BEST. I now live in Kansas City and would like nothing better than to wake up some Friday, be listening to my favorite local country music station and hear --- "Hello Peaches, never will a Friday pass without hearing "The Scotsman Song"!!!! Good Luck and God Bless you Moby --------- YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moby, like you I am out of work. I was downsized in April and I always looked forward to hearing "the Scotman's Song" every Friday to lift my spirits in a bleak economy and job search. I enjoyed your humor, your patriotism and your respect you paid to your loyal listeners. You are a class individual and you will succeed once again. I wish you the very best. God doesn't close doors without opening a window.
Kicks 101.5 just isn't the same without your comforting voice...You're missed very much! Looking forward to you getting back on the radio. Take care and God Bless. Patty Lockwood
I listened to you every year you've been on!! I live in Athens GA now and don't work so don't know if you're on or not. If not GET BACK ON THE RADIO - what's wrong with those people. You are the greatest disk jockey around you are more than that!! Those producers are nutz. Get back on Moby - on SOME STATION - we'll listen to you it doesn't have to be on Kicks!!but let us know where you are.
Moby!! I can't believe how big your son is, Gosh he has grown. It seems like just the other day!! Do you still have your great Dane? I use to listen to you out of Louisville Kentucky and they cancelled that and then I found you through the internet radio in Atlanta and now you have gone from there. I will listen to you know matter what format you have. You are an inspiration to us all. With your spirtual belief, you will alway be looked after by the one up above. Remember If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it. Thanks for being you. Hope to "hear" you again real soon! Linda Dodson a trully devoted fan!!
I was gone for a month and when I got back to Atlanta you were off the air. It was a sad lose for me. I looked forward to hearing you every morning and always loved your great wit but most of all your caring. I hope to hear you back on the radio soon!!!!!!! Where ever you are on the dial that will be my new station!!!!!!!!
I went on vacation and you were here. I got back a week later and you were gone. If I may ask, What happened? Thanks Shane
Hi Moby, Here I travel out of town in early September and after my return I have to realize that you are gone? But thank god for my memory, in the early days of Internet/Email, I remembered your original website and I am very happy to see that you are still in town. Hopefully I will hear you soon on the radio again as you always bring sun shine back into the daily routines. Pls drop me an email as soon as you can tell us, listeners, where we can find our familiar "Yeah Baby" on the radio dial. Good luck, Moby. Talk and see you soon Brgds Daniel
Well - I've been confused all month....where did you go? I love Jim, still haven't gotten use to Kelly and Cadillac's OK..... I thought you were on vacation....then I realized I wasn't hearing any promos with "moby" involved or anything. What happened? You didn't sign or they didn't come to the table? I'm tired of country - over the last couple years.....I've hung in in the morning because of you. You have irritated me beyond belief over the last 7 or 8 years..... but I've loved you just as many times. That's what life is about.....live and let live. I'm a radio/TV brat....and KIX will lose on this deal.....the knuckleheads! I'm glad you're staying in town and will pop up in the market soon. It's been a lonely, confusing month.... I'll be looking forward to hearing you again soon! The very best to you and your family! Kim Runge
Moby, I'm a fireman and traveled the roads from Ellijay to Lilburn and back with you many a morning. Thanks for keeping me awake in those early hours. Just wanted to drop a line and say THANK YOU for all the support you have given public safety over the years. I don't understand the lapse of judgement on the part of management at WKHS, "they can't be from around here". I started my personal boycott of 101.5 as soon I noticed you were no longer with them. I went up the dial, but he aint no"Moby". We miss you and look forward to hearing you again soon!!! Good luck this season--GOD BLESS YOU and YOUR FAMILY>
Moby... Wow, I can't believe it's you. I spent many years listening to your voice tell me to "get my lazy ass out of bed." I stayed with you from 97Rock in Houston (my girlfriend - now my wife of 15 years - got me an autographed bumper sticker) to the Eagle 97.1 in Dallas, to doing the afternoon show on 101 KLOL back in Houston. All classic rock formats for all you Georgia folks who thought he was just country! Texas airwaves haven't been the same. If no stations in GA latch onto the greatest morning guy ever, then come on back to Texas. We need ya! God bless you and best wishes.
Moby, I cant wait to hear from you again on the airwaves. This is one loyal listner that misses the hell out of you. You brought compassion, humor, opinions and many more qualites to the Radio. You are surely missed. Take care
miss you in the mornings hope you will be on somewhere soon.god bless
Unbelievable, I could not believe you wasnt on the air. Hurry back.. Hope everything is OK with you. Yeah Baby!!!!!
I have followed Moby from Tx to Atlanta. My son Jonathon is Jonna's age and I have been married 3 times, it seems our life's paralleled for a while. Good luck, and will wait to see where you land. Stay COUNTRY!
Shocked. You are the morning show for thousands. Hope you'll be back on the air very soon. It's hard to keep a good man down. Yeahhhhhhhhh Baby !!!!! Gus
Miss you in the morning, you were great,
Moby, I heard that you were to southern. How is that possibe? Being a Ga. peach born and bred I dont think that you can be to southern. You made people think and feel. There's nothing wrong in that. Lewis Grizzard once said that if the northern people didn't like the way things were here then Delta was ready when they were. I think that rule should apply to management a wkhx. Miss you in the morning and hope to hear you on the air soon. I'm sure that you will land on your feet. My prayers are with you, Mary Beth and Jonah. God bless all of you . You know hes watching out for ya'll. YEAH BABY
Moby and Marybeth, I had so much fun visiting with both of you at Lynda and Norm's. Moby in the face of some pretty serious adversity, you still manage to have a great sense of humor. And you look marvalous! Marybeth is not only georgous and funny, but I have no doubt with her at your side, you will land squarely on your feet in a better place than you left. I promised her some tasty and good for ya recipies. Email you fax # and I'll send them your way. Give Jonah a big hug from me,Dave and kids. Can't wait to hear the new developments. Don't be a stranger and I'll do the same. Love Cathy
Dear Moby, I have missed starting my morning with you. I work in Peachtree City which is 43 miles from my home and you made my ride joyful and inspiring. The morning just isn't the same. Hurry back!!! You've helped me through some tough times, and never even knew it. Yeah Baby!!!!!!!!! My prayers are with you and your family. Keep your head up. GOOD COMES FROM ALL BAD. GOOD LUCK. HEY WHY DON'T YOU START YOUR OWN RADIO STATION!!!!!!!!
Moby, I just wanted to let you know that I listened to you all the time when I lived in Atlanta. You helped me through September 11th, almost getting divorced, and many other things without ever knowing it. I am now in Dallas an everything is going great!! I would have to say that the one thing that I missed most about Atlanta was your show. As a special needs daycare worker I wanted for so long to commend you on helping people to see how wonderful special needs people really are. You are greatly appreciated, loved and admired and if you ever want to come back to Dallas I know one house that would truly love it. YEAH BABY HEather
Dear moby, I am so glad you have a web site to let you know how much I miss you in the morning.I cant even put the program on now because it just is not the same.I work the night shift at Saint Joseph's hospital, and as a nurse I have had many difficult nights, but when I would get into my car I would take a deep breath and tune you in.It would never fail you would have an inspirational peom or story or just a great joke to make me realize why I do what I do.Also your love for this country and those who serve it made me proud that I am an american.I pray the good Lord will give you the station of your dreams,so your radio family can stay connected. Moby, I also E-mailed the general manager of Kicks and told them how I felt and told them it was poor form to take you off the station prior to 9/11,because of your devotion to this country and the people who were a part of this day it was a shame you could not host a memorial show(I know it would have been the best) I will look to this site for updates. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Sincerely, Marie Ledford
You are a survivor! There's something much better on the other side of all this. By chance, if you've not read "Who Moved My Cheese," it's excellent qick read about change. God bless you and yours abundantly today and every day.
I started listening to you when a friend of mine named Jeremy told me that he met you during a hunting weekend with Penington, where he was your guide and got both of you lost in the woods. I was sorry to hear that you were not at 101.5 anymore. I hope to hear you on the radio again soon. Maybe with the other station?
Hey, Moby--I just read some of your responses to e-mail, and I want you to know that if you ever are on Atlanta radio again, no matter what kind of music, I'm sure we'll all be listening! You've made us lovers of country music, and with you on the air we can be converted again!
Hi Moby.I was a loyal listener to Kicks even before you came to Atlanta . I thought the Rocky and Deborah Show was great. Then when you came I said to myself "I'll give this guy a try". You done good. I have laughed, cried, been happy, sad, and mad alongside you over the years. Been mad at you and happy with you at the same time. You are Good ,Honest ,and aren't afraid to let those Qualities and Emotions interfere with your job. That is what makes a great air personality. I have since gone on strike against Kicks. Bill is a wonderful man , but no Moby. It's like the next manager of the Braves, not being Bobby Cox...It ain't fair.I have since moved up the dial to another fine person, but it isn't the same. Please let us know when and where . Respectfully Ralph Brown
I really enjoy listening to you in the mornings and always look forward to it. YOur Great and so is the station.
Moby I am still in shock. I can't believe you're not there every morning when I wake up. The sad part is we don't even know why. It has been a big void in my life...Please help me and hundreds of your other family members understand why.
Moby, I just wanted to share this with you. My daughter (7yo) is a huge Toby Keith fan, according to her, his #1 fan. We have been in a tight situation money wise, so I explained to her we would have to try and win tickets off of Kicks. She started to cry, "mom I don't think we should listen to kicks anymore, what they did with Moby wasn't right." Therefore, we did not go see Toby. Anyway, I moved to Atlanta just prior to you coming onto the morning show, I have been a huge fan of yours, and hope to hear you on the radio again soon. I am just glad that my daughter and I finally got to meet you and get our pictures with you at the festival of trees last December. My sister worked at the PT office you were going to for your shoulder, she said you made comment to them not renewing your contract. I am really sorry and miss riding to work with you. It is strange to say, but you had been a part of my daily routine 3 years longer than my daughter, I kind feel like I know you. Hope this message finds you doing well. Love Jo
hey moby I wanted u to know that i think your the best dj ever i've listened to u ever since I was little and i'm 16 now I miss u very much its not the same anymore without u.
How about some pictures of Jonah? Your Family has heard so much about him over the years we need to see some recent photos of him. I miss hearing your stories and tales on the way to work. I feel like I am missing a family member. Please don't take a job at the RAP station it will be hard for me to get use to listening to in the Morning. Go easy on Mary Beth during your transition period. OK? Hurray back please! You are missed alot.
I hope things are going good for you... Keep the Faith!
Moby: Just wanted to let you know that you have 3 more loyal fans, who really miss hearing you on the radio! Both my children, Jake age 10 and April, age 6 1/2 have been listening to you since they were born. I was at the Stone Mountain celebration when you initially came and have been listening ever since. You've been an important part of our lives and made more of an impact than you realize. I also share joint custody with my ex-husband and I credit part of the success of this arrangement to the many feelings you shared with your listeners on the air. I was listening --- your words may a big impact and I read the material you recommended. Thank you! You, Mary Beth, and Jonas will remain in our thoughts and prayers! We hope to hear you on the radio again real soon .... even if it isn't country, we'll be listening.
A friend of mine sent me the scotts song, and i found it very funny, and cute indeed. I wish u were in this area so we could hear u everyday. Keep Smilin ,,,,, (c;{ di.....
Moby, We've laughed & We've cried! You have said many times we are one big family & I have always felt like I was part of it. My Family & I miss you! I also have a 17 year old son & one 14. 2 Girls 22& 12,Moby we all enjoyed your show! One happy thought is of all the choices for music & entertainment, we were united with you. I can't say that about some of music my kids listen to. Good luck & may God bless you. Randy & Candy & Family p.s. We'll be listening for you. How can we get a copy of the songs you made like "Over the hill", "He wants my Daughter", "Men" & all the rest?
You had best better hurry up and get back so i can enjoy the mornings again!!! Everyone misses you,>:( :( :'( <><megan
I love your show, its the only reason I enjoy about the morning
omg...I am so shocked to find Moby! I used to listen to him every morning when I would get ready for school on dallas radio 97.1 kegl! I use to record moby in the morning and then edit the tape into my favorite bits, clips and songs. I had a "BEST OF MOBY IN THE MORNING" tape that finally got lost a few years back...and I was just sitting here remembering my youth and some of the hysterical moments listening to Mr. Moby. I decided to do a look on the net to see if I could find a fan site or something....and here is his very own .com! I didn't even know moby was still around anywhere on air. I hate that I found him right after his departure from his previous job...but GOD I LOVE MOBY!!! I would love to hear what he has done since he left us in Dallas. If anyone knows how I can get in touch with Moby at all...even if just to send him a fan letter...please....let me know. Moby...if you see this...man...I can not even express to you how much love I have in my heart for you from my time as a youth listening to you make me laugh every morning....and I will never forget winning my moby mug and getting to meet you for the first time. I would love the chance to converse with you just once....I hope you and your family are doing well and I hope that you will always be blessed! Much love, Steve
Moby, you must feel so special. You're website has only been up for a week and look at all the comments we have shared. I really hope the GM at KICKS looks at this page sometime. He'll then see how many people love you and miss you. KICKS is going through a lot of changes and so far, I don't like them. I heard that there is going to be a new morning guy in a couple of weeks. I don't even think I'll bother giving him a chance. He's not you and that's all that matters. Also, I was at the N. GA state fair tonight and while I was talking to Kevin O'Brien, I heard a couple of people ask about you. Just know that we are all thinking about you and praying for you. Please continue to update your webpage. Love you lots.....a loyal Peach.
moby i don"t know what 101.5 is thinking. the morning ride on the weekday will never be the same.you can not be replaced in our hearts. BUT LIKE ME YOU ARE A DEER HUNTER AND A OUTDOORSMAN,AND NOW YOU HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO GO AFTER THE BIG BUCK OF EVERY HUNTERS DREAM.AND RIDE THAT HOG. LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT LAST LAUGH.YEAH BABYYYYYY...GOOD LUCK FRIEND
Moby, Our morning drive won't be the same until your back on the air - Atlanta has lost the best caring DJ country music has ever had !! YYEEAAHH BBAABBYY !!! Hope to hear you soon !
Hey Moby, I was really upset when I found out that you were gone. I've listened to you ever since we moved into Atlanta which was a long time ago. I don't have any idea what happened but I hope to hear you back on the radio soon! We all miss you lots! Hope you are well and take care!
Moby, God Bless You! It's because of you - I even know what country music is! The drive to work is not the same. Your fans will support you in what ever you do - However, I sure hope to hear you on the air again someday! Thank You!
Moby, I listened to you when I was in high school in Plano Texas and then you were gone. I moved to Atlanta in 1993 and say your bill boards and instantly became a county music fan. I followed your show and your radio station during your 12 year tenure. I cannot understand why you are not there anymore. Now I listen to the regular guys on 96 rock. I again am a rocker, just like those days in Dallas. I do not know all the facts surrounding your departure from WKHX but I DO NOT LISTEN anymore. Sellars is ok, but he just is not Moby. I hope you hit the radios in Atlanta again because I do not want to move again. Like you I have moved often, 11 times to be exact. I am only 30 and the moves have killed me. I hope you and your family are doing well. I now Jonah is behind you all the way. Jgs2
Moby - glad to find your site. Hope that you will be back on the air soon! Miss the fun! Good luck.
Its me again Moby. Not much time today but PLEASE let me know what happened! I was out of town for a bit and when I got back, There was no Moby! Wont keep you. Mssing you! Kathy Feldt.....sister of Thomas Puckett, The wonderful man who donated a kidney to our niece.
We miss your show greatly. Bill is good but he is just not The Moby show. There has been nothing to make us cry, or to tick us off, just to much trying to keep eveything cheerfull.(not that, that's a bad thing either.) Hope to hear your opinionated self soon.
You were part of my life on the radio and I miss you! Wishing only the best for you and your family. Look forward to hearing you soon on the next "best" radio station.
Wishing you the best of everything. I miss your show very much. God Bless you, Mary Beth and Jonah.
101.5 fm isn't the same, will keep visiting your web page to see where you will be...
Moby, I miss you. Love, Bonita
Moby I began listening to country when a friend of mine told me about you when we started to see the "Moby's Coming" signs around Atlanta all those years ago. I have to admit that through the good times and the bad that I have always found comfort when I listen to your show. I would sometimes go through changes in my life and based upon the girl that I was dating I would change stations, but never ever in the morning. I may have been hip-hop with the girlfriend in the afternoon, but I was pure country in the morning. Having you gone as left a void. I have not listened to Kicks since I read about the situation in the AJC. I hope to hear you on soon! I would love to see a petition drive to have the person that caused you such grief see how much you were loved. Perhaps the ratings will be enough, but I doubt it since sponsors and money drive radio stations now days.
Moby, We really miss you. Please hurry back and let us all know where we can pick you up at. Good Luck and God Bless you and your family.
We miss you a whole BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Bunch and hope things really turn around for you and we all get you back. Good Luck and hurry back SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. 1
we need you back on radio it is not the same no one to listen to - we all love you moby and support you any were you are
OH MOBY,,where are You?? I can't imagine you not in Atlanta,,,,,,,I left for a new life in Iowa,,,,but Moby I thought you would be there forever! I was just there for a visit,,And 101.5fm isn't the Same......Please let us know where we can hear you...GOD Bless You and your lovely family.....Gale
I keep looking for your voice on a radio station somewhere. Phyllis
I will be looking forward to hearing you again on the radio. I do not listen to 101.5 anymore!! It is not the same without you!! Please let everyone know where you will be.... Thanks, Mary Lou
Moby, I really miss your upbeat morning show. Would like to know what has happened? I was out-of-town and when I returned you were not on KICKS--and nothing is being said of your whereabouts. Hope all is well with you and yours-- Remember, God never gives you more that you can hold. Always, Margaret Duello
Moby, I'm so glad I found your site. My kids and I listened to you every morning on the way to school. I have listened to you since you first came to Atlanta. I noticed that you had not been on the radio for a few days and figured you must have been on vacation. My kids noticed also (they are 4 and 6) They asked me, "Where is Moby?" They are both very disappointed that they don't hear you in the morning. WE MISS YOU!!!! Please know that you are not forgotten. We have switched radio stations because it is not the same without you. You were the life of the morning show and NO ONE can take your place. God bless you and your family.
Glad to see some info on the site! Miss you in the mornings. See you at SuperTarget with the other "soccer moms"!
Miss you Moby! Why did Kicks take every picture of you off their website. Kind of like cutting a person out of family pictures. Rewarding when your doing it, but looks kind of dumb to everyone else! Hope to hear you on the readio soon!
MOBY, I AM ONE OF A MILLION I KNOW TO MISS YOU EACH MORNING. I HAVE CHANGED LISTENING KICKS SINCE YOU LEFT, I FELT THIS THE LEAST I COULD DO. I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE SETTLED AT A NEW STATION HERE IN ATLANTA. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN MY THOUGHTS & PRAYERS.
Moby: Just like many others, I to have not tuned my radio to 101.5 since the announcement of your unexpected departure. I so want you to remain in Atlanta. Miss you BIG! I know Mary Beth is taking care of you, but we Moby fans need YOU to take care of us. Miss you Big! A big YEAH BABY! Mary McCrary
I am a HUGE fan and have been for years. I have not listened to KICKS since the day you left. I will not listen again until radio brings you back. I LOVE YOU for all that you are and all that you have meant in my life. Consider me a part of the family. You are in my prayers. YEAH BABY
well I just read some of the comments below and can relate to most of them. I will probably get in hot water with your Atlanta fans for this but your always welcome back here in Houston Texas. morning radio was never the same after you left. johna is a native Texan and ya'll are welcome here always. remember anything north of conroe texas is yankee land. steve
Moby Fans: Keep supporting your favorite communicator! I am PD at the former Moby network affiliate in Oakland, Maryland, and know what you are going through. Moby will be back on the air as soon as his contract allows because there are a lot of smart radio people in Atlanta that know that announcers that can touch hearts, make people smile, and stimulate thought are very rare. Usually, starting a new morning show is a very difficult venture. Starting a morning show with a legion of loyal fans who consider themselves family...well, you don't have to be a genius to figure that Moby will be off the sideline and creating his butt off in Atlanta as soon as possible. Unless someone from another city is smart enough to make him an offer he can't refuse. YEAH BABY!!!
Shucks it sucks without you. You were the "Archie Bunker" of radio - well , maybe not as radical, but just as fun. I'm not listening to Kicks agian, either, since I found out you aren't there. My prayers are with you and your family and that you will be back on the air real soon.
miss you a bunch, or is that talking too southern!!! I will not listen to Kicks again, I am really pissed.
Moby, things won't be the same without your voice waking us up in the morning, your heart, your humor. Get back on SOMEWHERE near as soon as possible...and if possible bring Jim Vann with you! We miss "Chunks of Fun", too!
We miss you Moby! My sister passed away in 1995 and from her hospital bed she recorded a special message you were saying to her. Each member still has the copy of that recording. Sharon cried as you gave her encouragement, even though she did surpass to Leukemia. She left this world (at 30 years old) one of you biggest fans... so with Sharon being an angel, you are sure to do bigger and better things! Sometimes I do not understand the corporate America's thinking.... where ever you go, please update your website so we can follow you! Your a special friend to me because of the happiness you brought to my sister during her final days on earth. Thanks for all you do Moby! Kicks is no longer my station of choice, Moby is still my D.J. of choice! Love ya! Sandra from West Cobb!
Moby, I was the program director of a station that carried your syndicated show back in the mid 90's (KMYY, Monroe, LA). Through that exposure I became a great fan. In an industry bemoaning (perhaps with cause) the lack of true talent, it is difficult to understand why one of the best is not being heard. I've worked with some good local morning talent. Never have I seen the public respond with the love and devotion I witnessed at KMYY for the syndicated morning show "Moby in the Morning". Seems to me that is the kind of dedication advertisers would like to showcase their product to. I have every faith that there is still some vision and intellect in Radio, and you will soon find yourself on the air and well compensated for being who you are. And for those lacking vision? I would trade a big fat, "Yeah BABY!" to see the look on their faces upon release of the next few arbitrends! Sincerely, David
Moby I am glad to see your page is being updated. I miss listening to you in the morning. I hope that you can find a station in Atlanta but if not make sure on the web so it will as if you were here.
Moby--Three of us commute to work together each morning and we miss listening to you!!! Ditto to all that has already been posted--you're the best!! Best of luck in all you do!
So glad to see your new website Son....just want your wonderful fans to know I wasn't born in the South, but I got here just as fast as I could! (Guess that makes me Southern too!) Love to you,Bethie and Jonah! Mom
I want to start off by letting you know just how much I miss you every morning. It definitely isn't the same, and to be perfectly honest, I haven't been listening very much at all. I sincerely hope that you will be back to an Atlanta station real soon. Kicks has lost the best thing that they ever had!!!!! I truly wish you the very best -- you deserve it. You have touched my life in so many ways, and I think of you as a "best friend." Stay strong, and I'll be thinking of you.
Miss you, you were with me through my husband's heart attacks as I sat in the hospital day after day. You brought laughter where there was none. Miss you. Look forward to your voice again in Atlanta.
Moby: We miss you on the radio every morning. We were faithful listeners of yours and met you at several appearances including the Moby Bass Tournament. Please let us know where you end up and what will happen to the tournament next year. Good Luck and hope to hear you on the air again soon. Harriet & Richard Smith
Wishing you the best, I really enjoyed your show. Regards
You are greatly missed during my morning commute!!! My daughter loves you to death and always wanted to call Moby every morning but she was never able to get through to you to actually speak with you. Please keep us informed so we know where to listen and when. Thank you for all your laughs and compassion over the years!!!
Looking forward to hearing your voice on the radio soon!
Moby, your morning show used to be on one of our local radio stations in Fairmont, WV, and in a moment of stupidness, discontinued it. It hasn't been the seem, although, they still play the Scotsman song. "Too Southern" on a country station in the south"... go figure.... Are they now trying to hire a "Yankee"??????
Hi Moby, I have really missed hearing you on the air. I hope you get back on soon and keep me posted on where I can hear you.
Moby, the first time that you were not on the air I thought that you were sick but then nobody said anything at all about you. Then as I was listening I did not hear the pledge, stump Moby or battle of the sexes and they always do that even if you are sick. So I emailed Bill Cellers and put in a request. That request was that he tell me where you were. When they said that you are too southern that ticked me off. What did they think they were going to get when they are a radio station in the south and they hire someone who was born in the south a northern? This is my response to that. If you don't like the way we talk then go back where you came from. We like our southern disc jockeys (namely you) and that is just the way that things are. I have since stopped listening to Kicks and found another station. When you get back on the air I hope that it will be in the Atlanta area so that I can pick you up again. You have made me laugh and cry, sometimes in the same day. You are greatly missed by all of you family out hear and we can hardly wait until we can hear your southern voice again. Sometimes you are our voice of sanity. We love you and miss you. Linda
Moby, I started listening to you about 10 years ago while still in high school. I grew to love such artist as Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. I have listened off and on for these past few years, but I alyays knew that you were there just like my favorite sweat shirt. I have taken an interest again in country music and had you on for my alarm in the mornings. It was GREAT!!! Then all of a sudden,, Nothing, not an explanation or anything. I kept waiting for someone to tell us that you were on vacation!!! Please know that we miss you and we LOVE YOU!!! GOD bless you and your wonderful Family!!! Thanks for EVERYTHING!!! Sophia
WE LOVE MOBY!!
Moby! What happened? I have heard nothing. I wondered where you have been. Just so you know I am the Marietta Officer who responded to the Call at Applebee's when you couldn't get your mustard!
Moby, you are missed!!!! I still listen to KICKS on the way into and from work. I like Bill, Jim and Jill, but YOU were the morning show. I hope you get back on the radio in the Atlanta area, but if you do not for some reason (Atlanta's loss), and I am ever in the city where you are, I will be a listener while I am there. Wishing you and your family the best. Atlanta needs more DJ's like you!!!! Thanks for keeping you WEB site. I will be checking it to see where you are, hopefully here in Atlanta!!!
What happened??? I miss you and your show. Can you keep us posted on your adventures? Thank you, Donna
I miss you so much! I hate listening to the radio in the mornings since you're gone. If you had an opportunity to tell everyone goodbye on the radio, I missed it. I'm praying for you and your family. I hope you get back on the air soon - and hope it's in Atlanta or the Atlanta area so I can listen to you again and I'm not the only one that feels this way. Everyone I know listened to you and wonder why you're no longer there. If the audience for the morning show went down, it certainly wasn't your fault. I feel as if I've lost a member of my family! Hope to hear you on the air soon!!
Great to hear from you. Wishing nothing but the best for a Good Friend. I know you will land on your feet instead of your butt. You know how Atlanta feels about you and we damn sure want you back. Kicks lost their biggest asset and a large part of their morning audience I am sure. YOu know how we feel about you. When you read this I know you will hear it the way I say it...YEAH BABY!!!!
Moby, we in Rome miss you very much. I have a picture of you that you autographed for me when you were at Rio Bravo in Marietta years ago when you first came to kicks. Hope to hear you soon, although we are still listening to kicks, it is just not the same. Bill Seller and Jill and Jim are doing a good job but it's just not the Moby we all loved to hear.
Moby, we miss you more than can be expressed in a few words. If it were possible to buy my own radio station and put you on the air tomorrow I would do it. My morning commute is dull and tedious now. Kicks has been removed from my home and car radio. I along with the rest of your family are eagerly awaiting to hear that "yeah baby". Remember, our opinions are what make us individuals.
I have been out of town for several weeks and was shocked to not hear you on wkhx. I miss your radio presence and antics on the air. Keep us posted on your status. Our prayers are with you.
Who knew that Kicks could be boring? I hope that you are doing well...the rest of us just miss you. :-(
LOVE YOU MR MOBY MISS YOU VERY MUCH! HOPE TO HEAR YOU ON THE TOASTER- HA! HA! VERY SOON! SAM(THE TRUCK DRIVER)
We miss your morning show.
Is there any way that any of your songs you use to sing on the air available. thanks Allen Cummings Summerville,Ga
Moby, just want you to know we miss you and please let us know when you get back on the air. yea baby!! Oh yea where's Debra
We miss you. It's just not the same.
Moby, I'm 59 yrs. old, and retired last Aug. 31 from U.P.S. as a feeder driver (I drove doubles, tractor trailers) for 30 years. So what I'm trying to say is I listened to you every morning when I was on the road. I have heard only bits and pieces on your situation, but what I have heard is "SOME ONE SAID YOU WERE TOO COUNTRY", well if you listen to a country radio broadcast I thought you were suppose to hear country. I guess I was wrong, but I was raised to know if you planted peanuts you got peanuts " not watermelons. Do you understand what I'm trying to say Moby? Let me know. a friend always, Phil Stocks
Moby, just want you to know we miss you and please let us know when you get back on the air. yea baby!!
hey moby I really miss you on the radio, its just not the same anymore. I think that you're the best DJ on the radio. love Amanda
WHERE ARE YOU?? I AM OUT OF TOWN A FEW WEEKS AND I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON!!
I AM SO GLAD YOU WILL BE STAYING IN THE AREA. WE MISS YOU SO MUCH. HURRY UP AND GET BACK TO WORK
Great job GO MOBY
Moby, I wrote you immediately after you and Kicks parted ways. I just happened to re-check this website and was delighted that you have continued this forum for your loyal fans to express their feelings and keep in touch! Without trying to repeat everything I said in my first e-mail to you, I would like to re-iterate my earlier comments and also a huge "ditto" to the other comments on this website from other listeners. Kicks is definitely not the same without you and never will be again. No matter what the GM (from whom I received a personal return letter) says, it appears to me that they have followed the rest of the politically correct world in deciding that they didn't want someone opinionated enough to "tell it like it is" and possibly offend some of their listening audience. I don't think they realize what a strong following you have, nor do they realize how many personal lives you have touched by your genuine care, concern and dedication to your Atlanta "family" of listeners. You have truly been an inspiration to me and I hope God richly blesses you and your family with another great opportunity. Thank you SO MUCH for keeping us informed of your whereabouts, because as soon as you appear on another radio station, you can bet that will be where I tune in !! Take good care and know there are many, many loyal fans who wish you the very best.
Moby, Sure do miss you in the mornings!!! Getting dressed for work sure isn't the same without me yelling at the radio...The dial is off Kicks and back on the oldies. When I moved to Atlanta 9 yrs ago from the NORTH, I wasn't a country music fan...While changing the dial on the radio I ran across Moby in the morning...and boy did you make me mad!!! BUT!! I grew to love Moby and now there is no one that can take your place..I wish only the best to you, Mary Beth and Jonah..Keep your fans informed on your next venture!! Love to your BIG heart Moby!!!
I think it is ridiculous to get rid of the reason I listened to kicks wherever you go I will listen you made kicks what they are period!!!!!!
Where are you? What happened? I missed a day or two and you were gone. If you are at another station I will turn to that one. I stopped on 101.5 because you were there.
Enjoyed your program from the first day of your arrival in Atlanta. After the 101.5 spot on the dial was sold by the Wilder family, it was lacking until you came on. As you said about another 'on-air personality' one time, "You will land on your feet". I bet you will be even better than before. Keep us informed.
Moby, I was so excited to see you hosting the Patriot's Day celebration on Marietta Square the evening of September 11. What a wonderful memorial! It was especially comforting to know that you are well, and still in Georgia. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't wait to hear your voice again telling folks to "get their lazy butts outta bed", or singing one of your wonderful songs, or reading a mascara-alert poem. You, my dear, are truly missed. I so admire your support of our nation's military and police officers. Your love for special kids moves me. Aw shucks, just get back on the radio where you belong!
Moby I was sad to hear that you are no longer with kicks. For what reason I do not know. For I had to spend a few months in Florida to help my mother out. I thought my husband was kidding me when he told me you were off the air. I did email the radio station and told the station manager my feelings and resign as well. I no longer listen to kicks. What station are you moving to. My heart goes out to you and your family for I always felt your love and concern for the radio family. Now I am concerned about your family. My husband and I think of you and speak of you often. We both miss you. Please let us know where you are and I will be a listener. Give MaryBeth a hug tonight. May God be with you.
Moby we miss you so much in Newnan the morning show will never be the same without you. Hurry up and find a new station a let all you listeners know where you are I tried for 2 weeks to get the poem DUST IF YOU MUST before I realized you weren't there any more. Take care and may God Bless you and your family. Edith Paschal Newnan

YOU'RE A DEAR FRIEND TO MYSELF AND MY FAMILY. TO NOT HEAR YOUR VOICE IN THE MORNING, WAS TRULY ONE OF THE GREATEST LETDOWNS I CAN REMEMBER. I DON'T KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO KNOW THAT YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN BY TENS OF THOUSANDS OF STRANGERS THAT FEEL LIKE YOUR A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. JUST KNOW THAT MYSELF AND MY FAMILY ARE PART OF THAT. WITH LOVE AND GREAT ADMIRATION GARRY BROWN AND FAMILY
Moby, I wish you all the very best for you and your family. Thanks for the website so we can at least say good luck. The mornings are not the same without all your humor in the mornings. Having a difficult time finding a morning home right now. Just don't get my KICKS anymore! I am sure you will find a new home soon and we all look forward to having you back in our morning routines! Thanks for all the memories, Yeah Baby!
You are missed. I know it is bad PR to tell what happened but we would like to know. I was laid off in November as an indirect result of Sep. 11. We hear that is behind your departure but that can't be all the story. So many times you said what was in the hearts of "the family." I found work after 5 months and to can land on your feet as well. Your extended family will remember.
Just want you to know you are missed

Moby, I can't believe this!!! I loved listening to you in the morning, my daughter loved you. you were there during a very difficult time in my life also, the death of my sisters baby, and you played the most beautiful song for my family. I will check back to your site, hope to hear you again soon!!! YEAH BABY
The ride from Cartersville to Marietta every morning seems to take forever now. I can't find myself to listen to KICKS in the morning. There is a BIG VOID in my heart every morning when I can't listen to you. I hope you return to radio soon and in the Atlanta area. WE LOVE AND MISS YOU MOBY!

I've been missing you in the morning for over a year since I moved to PA. I listened to your show nearly every morning from late 80's till last year, when we moved away. I still look in on your site every now and then, and I was saddened to hear you're not on the air right now. You enriched Atlanta with your life and personality. I wish you the best and hope your back on the air soon. A loyal fan. We love ya! Yeah Baby!

I was a truck driver in Valdosta and listened to you every morning. Whenever I came to Atlanta, I enjoyed hearing the whole show. Now that I live here I enjoy the traffic reports. Hope to hear from you again soon.
Dear Moby, Yeah, Baby!! Please, please tell me you're going to be on another radio station soon!! I miss everything (and I do mean everything) about you! I miss you badly, Moby! My son, Jeff, and I met you once at the Red Lobster. My son is mentally challenged and you were so kind to him. You two talked about the TV program Southpark. My son is 38, but has the mind of a 12 year old. As a matter of fact, your son and my son both worked at the Roswell City Parks this summer. You signed a picture for me for my birthday through our sons! So, Dear Moby, I miss you more than words can say. Please tell me when you get another station. Love Ya, Moby!! Mary Barker A big fan that misses you dearly!!
Please Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope you will be back on the air soon. Your voice is one of unmistakable caring and concern. You don't pretend to care like the others in this field. Genuine concern is the most important thing when you most need to hear it from another who understands the feeling of so many. You are the outside opinion everyone looks for. I for one miss that. Lots of love to you....... Melody

You were the heart and soul of KICKs for many years. From the time I drove you to the Inaugural game at the Georgia Dome till you left, yours was the only morning show in Atlanta. When a station in the Atlanta area gets you on the air, my radios will be tuned in! Chris Roberson

DRIVING TO WORK EVERY MORNING, AND NOT HEARING MR. MOBY ON THE RADIO, WELL...IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME, SO I DON'T LISTEN TO THE RADIO ANYMORE. IF YOU DECIDE TO STAY LOCAL, I'LL BE THE FIRST TO LISTEN! WHERE EVER YOU GO, I HOPE YOU'LL TAKE THE SCOTCHMAN'S SONG WITH YOU! YEA BABY!

I pray that it's a local station. God has big plans for you. You are very much loved and missed. I'll continue to pray for you and your family. Love ya, Kelli...a loyal peach.

Hi Moby: We carry Ludlow Porch and he mentioned your name the other day. I wondered, "How's Moby doing"? A search took me to this site. Looks like you're doing great. I'm a grandfather now and that keeps you alert. I talk with Bill Barry every week or so, and he's doing well. He's in his late 70s now and still running WAMB. I had forgotten how "caring" you are until I read the comments on your website. Keep helping others. You will always come out on TOP! Best Wishes, Bart

I am just trying to figure out where you went. I go back a long way listening to you. Houston was my home until 1981 when I graduated and left, I ended up in Atlanta in 1986 and have been here ever since. It took me back to the old days when I tuned in to you here, and was a devoted listener until a couple of weeks ago I didn't hear that familiar voice and nothing was ever mentioned of where you went. I would like to know where you do go or what events you are involved in to try to keep up with you. I miss hearing that voice in the morning that always put a smile on my face or every once in a while it put a tear in my eye. I mentioned to my husband this morning that I never have time at work to go online and look to see what happened to you or where you have gone. We have had a computer for over a year and the odds and ends that we acquired weren't exactly a match, so he took me to Radio Shack so we could by the missing pieces for our computer at home. He came in, put my computer desk up, got us online and now I am writing to you. Let me know when you have some news about anything you are doing or where you might be going. I sure miss you and will check back in a while to see if you have any updates on your website. Good Luck, and I am sure you know how much your fans admire you. I know I do, and sure miss that voice.......... LOL Patty

Hi, I started listening to you several years ago and enjoyed it very much. I was not really a country music fan but I was definitely a Moby fan. What I liked best about you was that you always spoke your mind and was honest about it. Some of the things I did not agree with but I knew that if you said it that you really meant it. To me that made you a honest man. Today we hear so many people talking out of both sides of their mouth but with you it was straight and too the point. I hope that you and your family are doing well and I pray that everything will work out for the best for you. I occasionally listen to 101.5 now in the morning but it is only until I find you on the radio again or someone else with your style .I commute and hour every morning and you made my day so many times. Now that you are not on the radio I am glad to get out of the truck every morning at work. [ha,ha.ha] I hope that you realize what a difference you have made to my life and a lot of others. A lot of the things you would say would make me stop and think. Well I will go for now but remember that you will always have a friend in me and that I really learned a lot for you by just listening what you would say and do. Bye for now. Sincere, Greg Walden

Moby, I'm sorry that you are not on the air as of now. I haven't been visiting the website as much as I should and wasn't aware that you are not on in Atlanta now. I really enjoyed your show here in Houston BY GOD TEXAS and was sad when you left for Georgia, but understood the reason. I wish you and your family well and good luck in the future.

environment. Keep us informed of your doings. Good Luck and God Bless. Tim & Lynne
