moby, how great it is for you and mary beth to have a little one in your home. i love reading your updates. please stay positive, good things are happening and you will be back where you belong soon. There are many moby fans wanting you back where you should be on the morning radio as dj not traffic reporter. take care sharon nichols
Moby, I can't begin to tell you how happy I am for you and your family. I can tell that your life is continuing to be RICHLY blessed, which is surely a result of all the blessings you have given to your radio "family" over the years. Can't believe you've hinted that you'll be back on COUNTRY - YEAH baby!! PLEASE at least let us know if it's here locally. If so, I know there are going to be a LOT of happy listeners. Rock, in my opinion, was not a good fit for you - you are country to the core and there's nothing like the fans and listeners - good people right down to their soul. Your new daughter is just beautiful - and the name is perfect. God's AMAZING GRACE - for sure. Moby, take care and keep your resolve to get back to what you love doing, on YOUR terms. We love you and we'll be your loyal listeners wherever you end up. Congrats on the fine job you did with Jonah also - an apple doesn't fall far from the tree!! All the best to you, Mary Beth and your wonderful family. God Bless!! -- Leanna
OH MOBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is simply beautiful!!!!!!! Being an adoptive mother myself, I know and uderstand the awe and wonder........ You are indeed blessed and i can't wait until you are able to join the "next country music radio family" so we can hear of the wonderful things she does! YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!! Ruthie:-)
Mornings just hven't been the sam since you left KICKS. Unfortenately I'm not much for the Rock and they seem to play more commercials than any other station in Atlanta. I will check back to see when you find a new country home. Glenn Barnett
Grace is so beautiful!!! She is very lucky to have you and Mary Beth as parents. So...another country music family in the future? I know you can't say much, but can you at least tell us when that will happen and if it will be in Georgia?
ok, so I figured since Bandit likes my leg so much, I'd at least look at the pictures of the lion bite. Wooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Looks like he got more than a bite. Perhaps since your name is Moby, he thought you were Sushi? Grace is BEAUTIFUL! And Mary Beth is a Beautiful mother!! Yeah, you're a beautiful Dad, Moby. Love and hugs, Donna
I love you Itty Bitty Buddy. It's been a heck of a life since we first met in 83 and I feel like a proud Aunt when I pray for Jonah daily. You've done good! I know Momma and Daddy Moby are smiling down when they see you and Mary Beth and the baby. Keep in touch, know that I love you. Charlie
I am so glad you're still around in Atlanta ! I sat on your lap when you came and did a morning show at the "Alpha Soda" in Alpharetta, Ga. I told a joke - and won a T-shirt ! I hope you'll stay here in Atlanta and that your wish will come true - your own show! Take care and good luck. Keep us posted. Glad to hear about Jonah. Just can't believe he's that old now. I remember when he just became a "teen ager" ! Thanks for all the memories. susie dowling - Dallas, Georgia
Hey Moby, I know another big market will pick you up and let you do what you do best, have fun. Congrats on the new one expected also. For your site I have a request, can you put an audio clip of a great song from KEGL Dallas on the site, "Texas Bitch." That is a classic. Rock n Roll Moby. Yeah Baby! Rich Bulger, Anderson,SC
Hello! What a whirlwind life must be for both you and Mary Beth now, with Jonah off to serve his country PROUD and with the newest addition, Grace Marie coming to ya'll soon. She has the most beautiful eyes and already is blessed to have you both! As we all feel in the "Moby Family" - we miss you terribly and can only hope that Atlanta will realize what an asset they have with you!!! It's amazing how the ratings have suffered, but that old saying of "what goes around, comes around" seems to have. God bless you and your family with your newest addition and please keep us posted! I'll bet Grace's first words will be "YEAH BABY" - Good luck and ya'll are in our thoughts and prayers.
HEY MOBY, the latest book is out again and the NEW Z continues to go down the drain without you as does your old station, in fact they are almost gone from the charts...Good luck old buddy. YEAH BABY
Hey Moby: Ilistened to The Moby & Matthews back in your Houston days and I still can't get the mailman song out of my head. I was surfing the net and thought of the good old days. I decided to check out your site. Good luck
Well Moby, Here I am again, wondering what happened to the world's BEST DJ! Only to find out that he has now become the world's highest paid traffic announcer! I have spent the past 7 hours reading all of the e-mail on the next 4 pages and it is so awesome how people feel about you! You are more that just a morning disk jockey to US. You are part of our lives, our families, our souls!!! I have met you several times in person and you are just as genuine in person as you sound on the radio. The tremendous effect you have had on this city and it's people is awesome. I have spent the last few hours drying tears from my eyes, wondering if we will ever have you back as a regular part of our normal lives. Because right now, IT AIN"T NORMAL!!!!! I looked at the pictures of your arm, it was horrible!!! I was glad to hear that it is healing pretty good. And I couldn't wait to spread the news about Grace Marie (that's my middle name, too)! And what about that boy!!! Jonah has grown into a wonderful young man. I will pray for him every day! I can't wait to see new pictures of the family!! All of you! Good Luck and God Bless You and everything you do! You have blessed us with your goodness and honesty for many years and you will NEVER be forgotten. Please don't leave Atlanta!!! Yeah Baby!!! Ginny
Thank you for all your years of gracious and dedicated service to Atlanta and the region. We currently miss you everyday, but wish for you, Marybeth and family the best best life can bring. For Jonah, Godspeed and thank you. Moby, I, like many other of your listeners, are nearing the same stage in life where we must let go. Your selected poem is inspiring and helps, a little. Thank you. I know without a doubt, your newest blessing will be showered with love and kindness as she joins the family. God Bless to all! We are patiently waiting your announcement on your next morning show. PS - We've all heard the old saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you." My thought is, I don't feed them, so to them I look like any other full course meal, bite away! No thanks, I like my limbs! Feel better.
Yeah, baby!!!!!!I am glad about your new addition and the choice of service your son has chosen. I am looking forward to the news someday that God has blessed with host of another radio station as you have been a blessing for all the years you were on kicks...Take care and man, yeah, baby, to you!!!!! Charles
Thanks for all you do Moby. We miss you dearly!!!!!!!!!!
Moby- Texas needs you. Quit screwin' around and come on back. Radio here has sucked since you left. I'm hoping to move to the hill country soon. I would think that there's room for you in San Antonio. KZEP is the one you'll want. Best of luck, j
Hey Moby, I was a a dedicated listner of yours on WKHX in Atlanta but when you moved to Z-93, I did not listen to you then because that is not my type of music. Anyway, Where are you know? Thanks!
Hey Moby! I have listened to your show on 101 for years, and then switched to Z93 even though I'm not a rock fan. The only time I get to listen to the radio is on the way to work for twenty or thirty minutes so I miss a lot of your show. One day you're there, the next day you're not. What happened? I've resorted to Rhubarb. Not the same. Not bad, but not the same. Wish you were back on the show because these other DJs suck. Love ya.

Ok Mr. Moby, it is time for another update.....We need to see more than just her eyes. Do you know when little Grace will be with you for good? Please keep us posted
Your latest letter and news therein is absolutely wonderful. I am so happy for you and yours. I hope Jonah is doing well in basic. I know that precious "Grace" will bring joy unbelieved into your family's life. I have been listning to "South 107" country station located in Rome,GA, they are ok but they are by no means KICKS W/ MOBY. As we all know kicks w/o Moby just plain sucks!!!!! Anyway, as you may know the Lady of the Morning just left the station and I'm sure they are looking for something else and (of course) I thought you would be perfect. I'm not really sure what their call letters are or, if this stage you would be interested, but just incase you didn't know I wanted to pass the info along. I still tune into "z" just to hear about our lovely traffic, it makes me angry that they do not acknowledge your talent, but MONEY is MONEY!!!! Take great care and wonderful luck with little Miss Grace.....God Bless. Brenda

Keep on keeping on Buuba Moby.....Deer season is right around the corner and all things are good when you're in the woods.
I am so saddened by the cards you have been dealt. I to am not a b_tt kisser and I think sometimes this is what happens to you. I truly believe big things are just on the horizion for you, you are a very sincere humble person and made my morning commute worth driving from Douglasville to Northside Hospital daily. Heck I love country music and I started listening to Z93 just to hear you in the morning. Keep me posted if you have the time.. I care..
Moby, The air ways will never be the same. Listen to you for many years! Sorry to hear you've had such hard times. Keep the faith and you'll be just fine. God Bless you and Mary Beth!! Yea Baby!!!!! Loganville, Ga.
Miss listening to you on our way to work each morning. I hope you will continue to stay in Atlanta and have another morning show. Since your job has changed I don't have anymore jokes to tell my fellow workers. Yes you are missed and very much loved. You are in for another wonderful time in your life with your upcoming new daughter. Congratulations to both of you.
Wow, I read your update concerning your son, I did not realize we were getting that old. It seems like just the other day you came to Kicks. My own sons will be there before I know it. I wish you and your family the best, and I hope you will be back in the Captains Chair very soon. James Baker

Moby, I used to listen to you on 93.3 VictoriaTx. I was a trucker for a local 000delivery service to the major corps. GET BACK ON THE AIR IN T.X. you rock the morning . Best to you and yours, M.H.
I miss hearing you in the AM. Good luck to Jonah and the new addition - what an exciting (and sad) time for you. Hope to hear you back on the air in Atlanta SOON!
Moby and family, I like the sneak preview..I will continue to pray for the process you have to go through for the adoption, but the courts and those involve will see what an loving family you are and will be pleased to sign the papers. I will also pray for Jonah, he will do you proud. My nephew will be leaving for the Air Force in October and it too will be a difficult day. Thanks for the update its good to hear from you.I know Gods got you in this place(Z93) for a reason(I haven't the foggist reason why)but he is in control so I'll lift you all to him and it all will work out.Have a great day talk will you soon. Marie Ledford
My daughter went through High Scholl listening to you in Houston. I got to meet you in person at the Allatoona Xmas boat parade 3 or 4 years ago and have listined to you every morning since moving to Atlanta. Where ever you land my radio is there and my $s are with your sponsors.
Hey Moby, Was the cat that got killed in Alpharetta yesterday the same one that bit you? Serves him right if it was. I keep waiting for you to 'cut loose' while you're doing the traffic report. I can hear in your voice that you want to. You must be in agony having to look at Mara and Dunham for four hours or are you in a separate room. I hope it's the latter. I'm waiting on more pictures of Grace. I keep sending you jokes. I hope you like some of them. God Bless you and I'll talk to you later. A loyal listner.
GRACE HAS BEAUTIFUL EYES. SHE IS SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU FOR A DAD. LOOK HOW GREAT JONAH TURNED OUT!! I MISS YOU TERRIBLY. I HAVE LISTENED TO YOU SINCE DAY ONE. I EVEN SWITCHED TO 93 JUST TO HEAR YOU. BUT I CAN'T BEAR TO HEAR YOU DOING TRAFFIC. THIS RADIO STATION OBVIOUSLY HAS NO RESPECT FOR YOU OR YOUR FANS. I HOPE AND PRAY SOMETHING TURNS UP HERE IN ATLANTA FOR YOU. YOU ARE NEEDED ON ATLANTA RADIO. YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON AND I STILL THINK YOU NEED TO RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE. YOU WOULD WIN BY A LANDSLIDE. PLEASE TAKE CARE AND KEEP US INFORMED ON HOW JONAH IS DOING IN THE NAVY. MY HUSBAND IS ON HIS LAST TOUR WITH THE NAVY. HE WILL BE ABLE TO RETIRE. I KNOW HOW PROUD I AM OF HIM. I KNOW HOW YOU SWELL WITH PRIDE FOR JONAH. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. WE LOVE YOU. YEA BABY!!!!!!!!
You can come back to Dallas. We need some real DJ's hear.
I know your don't see a lot, but just from those eyes you know she is going to be a beautiful child. Congratulations! Miss not hearing you in the mornings.
I miss you Moby. How can any radio station worth it's salt not want you to host your own show?? As a country music fan I even followed you to rock. Please come back!!!!
Moby, what a pleasant surprise to find your website! I remember you fondly from your days with Jon at KSRR 97 Rock. The lame DJs we've got these days don't hold a candle to you. If Atlanta can't get it together then come back to Texas where we appreciate you! After all these years it's still hard to wake up without hearing "GOOOOOOD MORNIN HOUSTON! GIT YER LAZY @$$ES OUTA BED!"
Moby, I came to Atlanta just 3 years ago, and have listened to you first on kicks, then Z93, I miss hearing you in the morning. You always could make me laugh when I had to drag myself down the road at 6:00 A.M. to work. Many congrats on your new addition, your love for Jonah is very evident, and I have heard you say many times you wish Jonah had a baby sister. I'm so happy for you. Please let your Atlanta listeners know where you are. If not Atlanta, there is always the internet to hear the Scottsman Song.....Take Care.....YEAH BABY.

Moby, Even old Men like us can say we Love Ya and Miss Ya. The one thing we in Atlanta will always remember and Charish is those two words "Yea Baby". Once I was working in Houston and to my surprise I hear "Yea Baby" and it was like a family member coming from the past. Man, we miss you and know you will keep us all up to date on yourself and your Family. I really miss those times you sang "Amazing Grace" and other songs and to be honest just writing this brings the tears as is your singing now. May God Bless You, Moby. Ron Hornsby
moby, i miss you very much! what happened to you in the morning? you are the greatest d.j. in atlanta!!!!! how did you end up doing the traffic? god bless you and mary beth on your new addition take care and YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Patti jefferson,ga
Moby, Let the Atlanta crowd know where you land.
Moby, She is beautiful just like an angel. Thank you for sharing her with us. Hate to tell you this, but she has Mary Beth's eyes. Glad to hear thing a moving right along for you. Miss you
Moby, I am so very happy and excited for you and Mary Beth. Also, thanks for clearing up the fact that I never hear you say your name when doing the traffic nor do you converse with the rest of those guys. I listen just to hear your voice. You are greatly missed and yes I am always up for a big YEAH BABY!!!!\ LOVE YA.. SHARON
I will always be a "Moby in the morning" listener! Yeah baby!!!!!!!
Dear Moby, I left Atlanta in '96 and didn't return to the listening area until recently. I was very disappointed to learn that you were not doing your wonderful morning show. I am not one to write fan letters but I do think you need to know that you are highly regarded because of your ability to say things America needs to hear. I never agreed with you 100% but I always found your viewpoint to be something to think about and I miss hearing you. My daughter came home from Kuaite a couple of weeks ago in the Army Reserves and my son is in the Air Force Reserves. I am so proud of them. I can identify with your feelings about Jonah. Congratulations on adopting Grace. Thank you for continuing to share your life and thoughts with your many fans. May your life, marriage and family be blessed for many years to come. Keep your faith. It will see you through anything and everything. May God guide and keep you.
Although I never spoke directly with you, I miss your presence so much. Your listeners always knew you cared; I often tuned to you for personal care, even though you were not aware of it, and thank you for it. While I will not "knock" the new DJs, neither do I care for their cookie cutter image. I truly hope you can continue your career here. If not, I hope you will continue your web page so that we can keep updated. You will enjoy your new addition to your family. My husband and I adoped our then 2 year old grandson a couple of years back. He has been the bane, the joy and lifeblood of our existence. We are an older couple, and all of this certainly changed our plans and lifestyle, but we would not change a second of it other than giving him younger parents. Please keep us updated on your son going into the Navy - he was just a young boy when we began listening to you, impossible that he's a grown man now, but a fine one I know.
Moby, you really seem to be doing well. I'm very happy for you and Mary Beth to be getting such a precious little angel. Grace is a very lucky little girl. I wish Jonah the best in the Navy. Make sure you let us see pictures of him in uniform. Continue being the wonderful person you are and you'll find a new morning show to work for. Until then, keep laughing your way to the bank!!! :-)
I miss hearing you do the morning show........
I miss hearing you do the morning show........
I am very happy for you and Mary-Beth. Grace is very lucky to have a proud popa as you are! She has beautiful eyes! Can not wait to see the future pictures that are sure to come.
Moby we miss you on the radio, I use to listen to 101.5, then I went to Z93, My music of choice is the 70's so Z93 was nice. Now it's changed where do we go from here?
