looking forward to hearing moby on the airwaves
Dear Moby, Congratulations on your spot on the radio. I will be listening!!!! Can't wait to hear your voice again. Love to you and yours; Patti
Moby! I'm glad to hear u will be back on the radio except in Tenn. I will try to listen to you on the net on the 16th..When we come to Tenn. (We go to Pigeon Forge during the summer) so I will make sure every morning I am listening to you! Good Luck on your new job!! I will miss you!! :)
E-mail on the way..Have a great week. god bless Marie ledford
Glad you're off Z-93 now. Ever heard the phrase "You can't polish a turd"? The last bit of class Z-93 had left when you did your last traffic report and walked out the door. Time to flush that staion down the chute now, 'cause it's done.... I'm very pleased to read that you're getting the honor of doing mornings for the first week of South 105.7! For them to ask you to bring them on the air is a real honor, and you deserve it, and you deserve all the good things there are. The morning shift has never been in steadier hands. Knock 'em dead and show them what big city radio sounds like!... Keep us posted, we miss you. And give that baby a hug for me. She's got a good daddy.... God bless you and your family, and the whole honkin' "Moby in the Morning" family.
moby, just wanted to wish you and you family well for the future. i really miss listening to you in the mornings. i feel you've been given a rare deal but your future is looking better . i hope that you can finish you career here in the atlanta market but i like most fans will understand if you have to change . i just hope you can keep in touch . take care and remember atlanta loves you . always your loyal listener hank hebert
Congratulations Moby, I'm glad you'll be getting your feet wet again on the air. You can bet I'll be listening. My Moby fix is way down in the negative. Who knows, maybe it will lead to something else more permanent or open the door to something else. You and Yours are in are prayers. God Bless. I'll be listening to you soon.
Moby, are you following me? I was living in Houston in 1981 & 82 when you were there. I worked overnight during that time and looked forward to you coming on the air every morning. (I also remember you being late on more than one occasion) I enjoyed listening to your antics and jokes and wondered how you were able to get away with some of the things you did. I got a kick out of your ditties about all the "traffic animals". I remember your interview on "Nightline" about "shock jocks" with another D.J. who shall remain nameless. Heck, I even remember when you were king of the Renaissance Festival. But all that came to an end when I moved to Dallas. Things just weren't the same without your voice coming through the radio. Then, finally, you came to Dallas to put a little kick into morning radio. I didn't mind getting stuck on LBJ Freeway as much when you were on the air. You were a little more tame though if I remember correctly, but still just as enjoyable to listen to. But this too came to an end in 1987 when I moved to Atlanta searching for work. Boy, was morning radio dull here. When billboards started appearing announcing your move to Atlanta, I was glad you decided to follow me to Atlanta. I told others to be sure and listen when you arrived because you were going to show Atlanta what a morning D.J. is supposed to be like. I thouroughly enjoyed listening to you again. Your show was more professional, more personal, more genuine than I remember in Dallas. You developed such a bond with us listeners that we practically consider you family. In 1999 I moved to east Tennessee and wasn't able to pick you up any more. I wondered how long it would take before you decided to follow me home to Tennessee (I too was born here). Well, it took a little longer than I liked, but I am glad you decided to follow me, even if it is only for a short while. You know, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you decided to stay a little longer. I know Atlanta misses you, but you could have a fine home here. It's been a long road from "haw, haw, haw" to "yeah baby", but you have come full circle. There's nothing quite like coming home. I'm looking forward to hearing you again. Best regards!
Moby, That is too cool to be going home AND be doing country again. Even if it is for the flagship week for the radio station. Congrats and I'm sure more good news will follow. Great to hear your updates so often, keep all of us Mobydiots informed....as always Good Luck and God Bless to you and yours. Brenda
Moby, how I wish I could hear your voice on the radio as I drive to work in the morning. Old friends are hard to beat and you are one of the best. Just wanted you to know that you have a fan in Douglasville that misses you a lot.
How are you Moby? I haven't heard back from you in a few weeks.I guess you have been really busy.I know Marcus "Gladitor" McCord was over your house the other day to see your new baby.He said she was cute! Well have a nice day Moby and I hope to hear back from you real soon! Bye Love your friend,Holly
Hey old man! Glad to hear the great news about you getting out of traffic hell. It's funny...a friend in Atlanta and I were discussing you just last night, and he, like many, was of the mindset of "Well damn...if I made his money JUST to read traffic, I would have it made". Well you old fart, I'll tell you like I told him. There are leaders in this industry, and there are followers. There are "doers" and "creators". You my friend, are a leader, and a creator. Someone like yourself can't sit idle and collect a paycheck KNOWING there's a greater good you can do with your broadcast talents. As your fan many years ago in Dallas Texas I realized that, and it's what made you my hero. Some 15 years later as your co-worker, I denied that to a degree, and now, here I am...edging toward my OWN Top 75 market Country Morning Show, and praying to the Good Lord that I can be half the guy you are on, AND off the air if I get this gig. We had our differences old man...that's for sure...some on the air, some off...but know this. You will FOREVER be the guy that created what T.J. Kelley is on the air...Good, Bad, or Indifferent, and I'll always thank you for that. My best to you and your family, take that time off dude...you've earned it. See ya at the CMA's you old fart.... *wink T.J. Kelley www.tjkelley.com
MOBY, GLAD EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL. I SURE HOPE YOU COME BACK ON THE AIR SOON! THERE IS NOTHING TO LISTEN TO IN THE MORNING ANY MORE. AFTER YOU LEFT I STARTED TO LISTED TO MJ MORING SHOW AND NOW ATL TOOK HIM OFF THE AIR TOO! PLEASE COME BACK SOON. THE DRIVE FROM CARTERSVILLE TO HAPEVILLE IS VERY LONG WHEN YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO CRAP ON THE AIR.
I have listened to CD's instead of country radio since you left KICKS....all your fans miss you
Find a new home soon Moby we miss you!!!
Find a new home soon Moby we miss you!!!
WOW!!! What a heartfelt poem. I used to listen to you back in 1996 when I lived in Atlanta. I can remember you always talking about your son Jonah, and all I could think was what a lucky little boy to have a Father who loves him so much! I will say I miss hearing your morning wake up song...what are the chances of getting the full version posted on your page?
Miss waking up with you and the family in the mornings. Hope to hear you back on the air soon in the Atlanta area. Glad to hear the family is doing well. Remember back when Jonah and Josh were playing on the beach and the trip to the emergency room. What fun we've had at the Moby in the Morning Tournament! Hope we can do it again this year. Your friend always, John Elrod, Villa Rica, GA.
By the way......Sarah.....Go **** Yourself!! From A "Redneck" who knows talent when he hears it!
Wow! I can not believe this! I can not leave you alone at all mister! I do not know what happened at either station. But these people are insane. It's wierd ya know. You actually got me into country music after a wild rock-n-roll high school life. I started listening to you your first year at kicks. I remember all of the cut-ins with Jonah. It's like we all listened to you raise this young man. We all looked forward to the scottsmans song on Friday's, waiting on the sherriff and I could go on and on. We laughed together and cried together. I never called, I just listened, and I looked forward to it every single day. I remember waking up early one morning to the alarm, you said: listen to this. And for the first time played Tim Mcgraw's Don't take the girl. That was the morning after I lost my dear Aunt. I woke up to this beautiful song that actually helped me get through this. You don't know what you do to people Moby! Neither do these foolish, foolish people out there. No matter what, you will be in the hearts of thousands of people forever YEAH BABY!!
Moby, I wondered what happened to you. I thought maybe you had left town since you left the rock station. I listened for many years on 101.5. Bandy and Bailey show is the pits; listened a couple of times; listen to 106.7 some.I did not know you were doing weather. I didn't know the same company had both radio stations. Good luck. Gary
Moby, I hope this new year finds you well and do hope to hear you on the radio soon. Thing are not the same with out my "MOBY FIX" in the morning. Take Care and Yeah Baby Samantha
Miss ya Moby, Hurry the HELL back.
Moby! I am so glad to hear that you are out of the nightmare. Good for you! Now if we can just get the Counrty station here to take you back. You really deserve to be here in Atlanta and on the best station in town! Without you it is not even fun to listen to. I try not to listen until later in the morning. Makes me miss ya more if I don't hear ya! I am glad to hear that (our boy, we all feel this way) Jonah is doing fine and i am sure that you are ONE PROUD PAPA! Way to go, you did a great job with him! Now if I coudl only do the same with my 4 boys. I hope that Feb. brings your smiling voice back to our station. I will be praying for ya. YEAH BABY!!!!! Moby, I have a hugh favor to ask you but cannot do it on this page, it's personal and well,......can ya email me?
Sure do miss hearing you every morning. Radio is such a drag w/o Moby to make all of us laugh. You're the best DJ there ever was in my book Lova ya Phyllis
From: Sari Meltzer [mailto:[email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 11:06 AM I am very patriotic, I just think this war is stupid and for people to make a song or light of it is just cruel. As in any media medium (radio, TV, movies) the repesentative (in your case, DJ) tends to have, if nothing else, a slight influence on their audience. Of course, in saying that there are always going to be people like me who don't like a view or the way a person conducts themselves. Of course I wish nothing but the best for you and your family (especially Jonah, who I hope is safe where he is), no sarcasm intended. But I'm sure my opinion will get me a lot of hate mail (good thing this is only my backup email addy and I dont check it all the time). I used to listen to you when I moved down here, and, for a while I did like you, I feel like I've known Jonah since he was a boy (I started listening back in 1993). As time went on I realized that your views were starting to annoy me a bit and seemed rather closed minded so I stopped listening merely for that. And yes, I was a bit upset when I found out you were the morning DJ for a radio station that I started listening to 4 yrs prior to my annex from "Kicks". Look Moby, I didn't mean for the guestbook entry to come out the way is did. I got to typing and I got mean, for that I apologize, its way out of charecter for me to go and do that. So by all means if you want erase it, go right ahead. I have no use for it. If you don't want to I understand you wanting me to get hate mail for a couple months and I dont mind, like I said I hardly check this at all. I just checked it today to see if you wrote me back. Well anyway, I hope at least you find my apology sincere, I know email can be a bit misleading but, if you care, it was a sincere email. And I hope Jonah finds his way home safe and sound. As well as my brother. Oh he is in the Marines and I'm so proud of him. The last time I got a letter from him was a month ago. Anyway, have a good day and don't be too pissed off about my posting. :-)
I think you are the worst DJ ever. When you joined z93 I had to stop listening. I cant tell you how damn funny it was hearing you spew out the traffic report every morning. Your "Gunna Bomb Iraq" song is horrible. You think its funny to make a song about innocent people who are dying? I mean your son (if he wasnt in the Navy) might now be over there. My brother is! and I think its horrible "bye bye Baghdad..." funny. Anyway. Go back to a country station, at least your in the good company of your kind, the rednecks.

I just want to say that I have moved out of Atlanta and really miss listening to you in the mornings. I have always loved your show. Warm wishes to you and your family.
First, thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. At 8:45 Saturday evening my daughter Jenni went to be with the Lord. We turned the vent off on Friday at 10:00 am and she held on until her friends from her Youth Group, and her Youth Minister came to say good-bye, 35 hours later. One special friend, Ryan came in as the last visitor and when he walked into the room, the room went silent and seemed to have turned white. Ryan and Jenni had dated, and honestly, he was the love of her life. We let him say good-bye to her in private and when he left the room after his visit, her stats crashed and she began to leave us. Jenni was in a deep coma....but Jenni knew -- just as good as I am sitting here who was in the room and when they left. Her Celebration of Life will in a day or two at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, GA We have not had time to work out the date or arrangements. Jenni is out of pain and I am so thankful and proud to have been her Mom. Please celebrate with us...she is out of pain and walking -- no more wheelchairs - on the streets of gold. May God Bless you too, Vickie
I'm so happy to hear that you're finally out of traffic reporting. That was ridiculous. Hopefully you'll be back on the air at another Metro Atlanta Station soon. I love the photos of the baby and Jonah. He's such a handsome young man (seems like he should still be a child). I've listened to since you came to Atlanta and remember years ago (early 1980's) going to Dallas, Texas and seeing your name on billboards and wondered who in the world you were - well I finally found out when you came to Atlanta. Hope to hear you on the air again soon and hopefully it will be on a country station, if not, that's ok - as long as we can hear you again!! Best of luck to you and Mary Ann.

What a happy looking family!! I am so happy for all of you! I will always be a Moby fan--I'm praying for you to have success at continuing another radio program. Come on Atlanta radio--get your act together and put Moby on the air as the wonderful radio personality that he is where he belongs! Thank you for continuing your website!
HOPE TO HERE YOU ON THE RADIO SOON.
Glad to hear that you may soon be back on the air. Hope that it will be in Atlanta -- will listen to any station that has the sense to put you on the air. Even more importantly, glad to hear all is well with you and your family. God bless and best wishes for a great 2004!

FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST Hope you can stay in the Atlanta area. Radio needs a strong DJ who can tell it like it is or can be sensitive when needed to be. I am not a big country fan but if that is where your next gig takes you then we will be listening.
I still miss you in the mornings. Atlanta is just not the same. Hang in there, you know God takes care of his. Something great will come your way. Always Bonnie
Moby - The girls and I will drop off Samoas at your house as soon as they arrive. We KNOW that those will make you smile!!! Thanks for being a positive role model for my kids. We all miss you dearly. Girl Scout Mom Kelly
JUST A FEW LINES TO SAY HELLO AND TO WISH YOU A QUICK RETURN TO RADIO LAND..I CAN'T HARDLY WAIT.
Hi Moby Good luck in whatever the good Lord has in store for you. I appreciate all you have done for Atlanta over the years and wish you the best. Hopefully something will work out here in Georgia. Rick
Moby we all miss you tremendously being on the air for us in the morning. Best of luck in the future and we really hope to hear you in Atlanta radio again real soon.
I miss hearing you on the radio every morning on my way to work. I wish you the best in whatever you do! Good luck and GOD Bless!!
Moby, Radio is not the same,I miss you so much! I always had you to listen and relate to , the divorce about the same time and all the other things that you shared,it made us feel that we could handle things because it happen to you and you still had a smile,we could handle it to.Thank you for keeping in touch, I don`t know what happen to make you leave but Im on your side no mater what, and if there is any way to get back on the radio please make it happen ,I will keep praying on this end.
MISS YOU MOBY
Well, I certainly hope and pray that whatever you and Mary Beth decide for the future of "Moby in the Morning" it will make as many (if not more) people smile as you did before you're time at "KICKS" ended. It really took some adjusting when you left. They say "you don't appreciate something (in this case someone) until it is gone. Well I truly believe that holds true for so many people including the "men in charge" at the two radio stations that gave you the "Shaft". Oh well, there loss (and ours unfortunately). Listen I wish you and Mary Beth and the rest of your family the very best life can bring. I sincerely hope and pray that your stay in the radio business because I somehow feel that that is a God given talent that MUST be utilized. You have made me smile in the morning when no one else could. You have also made me cry about situation that I never thought would really "get to me". You are a fantastic DJ and a "Great American". I suppose, in a selfish way hope that a radio station in Atlanta will recognize "a good thing" and bring you back to mornings with enough "Compensation" to make it worth your while. It should be illegal; what KICKS and Z93 did to you. How can a radio station take someone that was sooo popular, do traffic reports without even saying who you are on the air. That's terrible. I about cried when I first heard you because it just wasn't "YOU". Anyway, God Bless you and your family and PLEASE stay in Radio, it is truly your Gift and I'm sure that it has and will continue to affect people in a positive way.
My Dear Friend, You don't really know me, we've met on several occasions. I used to be a bartendar at Mama's Country Showcase and you "hung out" at my bar when you were there for promo's with KICK's. The best thing you've ever done for me was write me back when I sent you an e-mail about 7 years ago asking you if you had MS because I was just diagnosed. Your return e-mail was 3 pages, typed, and you touched my heart more than you will ever know. You said the best advise you could give me was to forget about it and live my life. I've tried harder than you could ever imagine too do just that. You were a voice of strength when I needed it the most. I need you now and you're not there, no longer in my ears on my way to work, no longer bringing daily joy into my life. Please come back, I pray that GOD will find a place for you so that we, your fans, can smile again in the morning. Much Love, Stacie
Best wishes for your future. Hopefully you and yours will remain in this area.
Moby and Marybeth & family, Thanks for the update.Enjoy your break which is much deserved.Continue to pray, because of the way you completed your business with radio station God will bless you. Thanks for keeping my sister Mary in your prays.I was blessed to be able to go to N.Y. to hear the results of her spinal tap which confirmed her diagnoisi with MS.WE were able to set up things she would need ,review her medicine choices,(which she is starting Rebiff)Therapy schedule and just spend time together. Have a great new year.Rest,Relax and let God have the rest.....Marie
GOOD LUCK.
What happened? Where'd you go? I haven't listened to WKHX since (or country music for that matter.) Everybody is so veiled about what happened and there are quite a few rumors going around. I miss you and your crew. I hope Deborah and Jim are well. My husband says Z93 sucks in the mornings now. Love and best wishes! Laurie P.S. I was one of the winners for the opening of the Country Star in Buckhead. It was one of the best nights of my life!
Moby, Glad you are off traffic hell and hope you are enjoying your much deserved month off. I'm looking forward to you being back on the air as there is a void in the morning airwaves that needs filling. Hope you get to stay in Atlanta. Best of wishes and God Bless.
Hey Moby! Finally, you are released from "Traffic Hell"!!!!! I certainly HOPE that your professional life will bring you back to us on the airwaves of Atlanta Radio! I have missed you on the air drastically! As a matter of fact, I tuned in to Jim Vann this morning to see if there has been any new "County Music" released. (I have to listen to the radio to know about it!) After about 15 minutes of B & B I had to turn it off and go back to my Trace Adkins CD (The new one with "One Hot Mama" on it!) I just can't identify with any of the morning Country Music DJ's in Atlanta. No one measures up to you! You are still very much a part of our lives even though we don't get to see you or listen to you on the radio. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about Moby! I haven't written you since earlier in December around your birthday. You probably get thousands of e-mails and I don't want to keep sending you e-mail, just to be sending you e-mail!!! But I do check your website about every other day from work and today I found that you had news for us! Congratulations on your "Christmas Present" (Being released from your traffic crap)! Get some rest and relaxation on your month off and good luck on finding a way back to the Atlanta airwaves! You are the BEST! And for all the rest...... well, they just don't add up! YEAH BABY!!!! Ginny Tracy & Family
Mr Moby, I am so glad you are out of traffic hell! I really hope you stay here in Atlanta. Waking up in the morning was great when you had your show. I am like another listener, I too listen to CD's. Heck we know what the traffic is, that is STOPPED. But I miss being able to hear your stories and listen to you touch others lives and inturn always seem to touch mine. I have listened to stories about Jonah, I feel like we were all there, and we are so proud of him. Our prayers are with you and your family. I also pray you will stay in Atlanta. We love you and we need you! Yeah Baby, Michelle, Jonathan and Jacob!
Hi Moby Thanks for the update. I have been checking your web page daily. I will be watching the page to see where you will taking us next. My radio bags are packed and ready to go! Just waiting on you. See ya Peaches!
Thanks, I would turn on z93 until I heard you and get my MOBY fix and then find a cd to listen to. Hope yall will prosper and have a good new year.
I was doing a web search and I found this website. I listened to Rock 97 in Houston during the early 1980s back when it was Moby and Matthews. I even had a Rock 97 sticker on my hard hat when I worked one summer at Cameron Iron (I-10 and west loop). My parents always objected to my listening to your show. Sometimes KSRR would advertise itself as "Kick Ass Rock and Roll", which is the only kind of rock and roll worth listening to.

Hi Moby, I was wondering what had happened to you. Mara and what's his name are really, really bad.... I no longer listen to kicks or z93. I miss hearing you in the morning. Enjoy your new little one, let Jonah know that our prayers are with him as well as with you and Mary Beth. YEAH BABY!
The biggest smile came across my face when I read that you are finally FREE of traffic hell!!!!! We, who have been part of the "Yeah Baby" clan for lo these many years, have been longing for this day! We so hope to hear you on Atlanta radio again soonest!
Moby: Congratulations on getting out of the traffic business. I thought it was beneath you anyway. You have too much energy to just sit there and be quiet. I hope after your rest we will hear a refreshed and new Moby in the Morning here in Atlanta. I personally miss you and cannot wait to hear you on the radio again. Take care of you and yours. Kellie
Moby I just wanted to say hello and have a good day. You are missed as well as loved. I hope all is well with you and your family. Love ya Peaches
I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE ALL STILL MISS YOU AND ALL THE FUN WE HAD WITH YOUR MORNING SHOW. PLEASE KEEP US ADVISED AS TO WHERE YOU GO. WE ALL CONTINUE TO KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED THAT YOU WILL STAY IN ATLANTA. WE LOVE YOU! YEAH BABY.
Hey Moby, I am sure I speak for all of us when I say "Glad to hear you are done with hell". I hope all works out so you can stay in atlanta. I have been going broke buying C.D.'s, Lord knows there is nothing worth listening on the Radio without you. Best Luck / God Bless Yeah Baby James
I MISS HEARING YOU ON THE RADIO. I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO YOU FROM THE GETGO. WHEN I RETIRED FROM BELLSOUTH IN 2001 AND MOVED TO THE LAKE OCONEE AREA, I LOST TOUCH WITH YOU. I DIDN'T NEED TO GET UP THAT EARLY ANYMORE. HOWEVER, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHEN YOU COME BACK ON THE AIR. BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. P.S. DO YOU STILL HAVE BARNEY OR ANY OTHER DOGS? I HAVE TWO BOXERS, THEY ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE.
Hey Mr Moby we hope you do get back on the air soon. Things are not the same in the mornings. I really miss the old Gospel Hymns you would sing from time to time. Best of luck in the future.
Hi Moby, Just wanted you to know that there are some many people that really miss you on the raido. I, like so many others, cannot bring myself to listen to KICKS anymore. I tried but I just can't. Please hurry back to us. Take care! We are all waiting for you and pulling for you.
Hey Moby, I checked out the traffic on z93 this morning and you weren't there. I got all excited hoping since somebody else was there you were "cut loose". Okay, it's been a month since this web site has been updated, are you on vacation or is something in the works? What really made me think about you today was a song about Mars somebody sang on eagle 106, it kinda sounded like you!!
Dear Moby, I have been wondering how you were doing. Do you remember me from the GBI? I met you and Mary Beth when you were dating. At that time I worked in the Crime lab as a medical transcriptionist. I now work in the command center at GBI (GCIC). Corrine in Monroe often asks about you. Take care and I do miss you on the radio. Mary Ann
I really miss not listening to you every morning. You helped make my day. I dont know what happened at kicks but I refuse to listen to them now that you are no longer there and lots of my friends feel the same. Please hurry and get back on the radio!!!
What's up Dude, It has been a long time. What are you doing now? What happend with kicks? What happend with Z93? Where are you now? I was here when you started at kicks. When you left it has been hard for me to keep up with you.

Hope that you and the family have had a wonderful holiday. All of my girls are doing well and the band is branching out into the Carolina's and Tennessee this year. Besides getting a little airplay in Atlanta, we are finally getting some recognition in Macon, Augusta, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Charlotte. Our new CD was released on December 18th and we would like to send you a copy. It was mastered by Rodney Mills, this man has more credits from Skynyrd to Pearl Jam. he was incredible to work with. If you get a chance, check out our new website and we hope to see you back in the saddle soon. If you ever need a band to back you up, give us a shout, we will be there for you! Best Wishes, Man! Your friend, Ryk and Scattered Thieves.... www.scatteredthieves.com
Heard on z93 this morning they're looking for a new traffic reporter. Does this mean you have good news for everyone. Let us in on the big secret!!
Wish you the best Moby, and I hope you get what you're looking for. I used to listen to you in Atlanta, but now have moved to Savannah. Come on down here for your morning show. They are not what you were on their morning shows. Take care.
MY BOSS TOLD ME THAT YOU ARE FINALLY DONE DOING TRAFFIC. YEAH!!!!! I HOPE THIS MEANS YOU WILL BE BACK ON THE AIR SOMEWHERE HERE IN ATLANTA EXTREMELY SOON!! OUR PRAYERS ARE ALWAYS WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MOBY. GOD BLESS YOU. JANYCE PERRY
My friend Christopher will be doing traffic starting Monday - - what will you be doing? I'm very happy that you have escaped from Z93!
You may think of it as traffic hell, but some of us think of it as a chance to know you are still out there hangin in. Thats what we do and take it one day at the time. YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!. So keep up the good work and it will happen. Lots of Love, Pam
Could you send us a copy of the Scotsman's Song?
Good luck in 2004!

Moby, Keep your head up. Things will come your way. Were there or you
Hi Moby: It was great to have met you at the Simon and Garfunkle (or as I had mentioned - the Tom and Jerry) concert at Phillips the other night. When I made the call to your station re the Aikens matter, I was driving in Irvington, NY on Route 9. Dana lived directly across the street from Lu and Richard, and had helped both of them for many, many years. She had also watched Richard rip off folks based solely on Lu's illness. This hurts ALL who are in need, for when a person is burned by a bad guy, the chances of THAT person ever getting NEEDED aid, is greatly deminished. THAT is why I made every effort that I could to get the message to you. Hope you were not ticked off, but I felt that a better need was to be had, than a white lie, so to speak. Should you ever decide to go to my site, I hope that you can see some of the great art of Louis C. Tiffany, for he was the finest of the American Glass people of the late 1890's - 1930's. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - Tom Wester
Dear Moby. Greetings from Louisville, Ky. I still miss hearing your voice on my radio when your program was beamed up here. You gave me a lot to think of. I enjoyed being a part of your life. By the way, I'm still showing the police and fire fighters I appreciate them. But instead of that blue light in the window on holidays like you suggested, I take them a candy platter or container of cookies and thank them in person. So you are 50. Remember sir, you are like fine wine. You only improve with age. Take care and stay just the way you are. MIKE
Moby: Glad to see an update. Glad you and your family are all doing well. Hope to get you back on the radio soon, I've been listening to Talk Radio and it's getting old. Happy 50th. God Bless.
i really miss hearing you on the radio,i will be honest at first i thought you were pretending to be so caring for others just to sound good on the air but with time i came to realizethat you really do care about the things that you talk about and that is hard to find these days im 40 years old with a 4 year old boy that im trying to raise in this world were all in i install carpet for a living which isnt to glamourous but it afford me to treat my family better than alot of folks im glad to here that jonah is doing well even if it is the navy <im ex army> the very best to you and your entire family,Im so out of touch that i didnt even know you had a new member congratulation I wish you the best of luck getting back on the air and i would really enjoy a response if you have the time sincerly,5year listener ERIC WHITAKER
Moby, As I look around and see the joy of my children being in a house again after 8 1/2 years of being in apartments and living in hell, I am reminded that there is a God who loves us and He alone knows the plans for our lives. Who would have ever thought that when we met in 1983, we would have grown up to be great parents? I pray daily for Jonah and your little angel, as well as your preicous wife and you. My oldest, Christopher, will be 17 on Saturday.......where has time gone? But what a day of rejoicing it will be when we all get to Heaven. May God bless you and keep you in touch with us for many decades to come.
Hi Moby just wanted to wish uou and your family a Merry Christmas hope the holidays are good ones and the new year brings new things for you in the job world sure would like to hear you in the mornings again
Just a line to say hang in there moby it always gets worse before it gets better. Happy holidays and just remember we're always tested in ways we don't understand..So maybe all this is just a test. Your still the greatest dj in my house...
Good to see that you and your family are doing well. Merry Christmas and my the New Year be one the best.
Hi Moby, Wishing you and yours a Happy Holiday season! Still miss you! Linda
YOU ALL LOOK FOR YOUR SELF http://www.radioandrecords.com/Subscribers/ratings/homepage.htm
Mr. Moby, Every single word written by the previous writer is 100 on the money. Just check the new rating book and yep, the big Z continues to tank. While you tell us about the traffic and get richer off of them. Good luck to you and your family and hopefully we will hear you again soon. Why not a deal with Sirus Sat Radio. Then we could hear you world wide wherever we are. Merry Christmas Yeah Baby!!!!
Mr. Moby: Having worked in radio for a few years and also having met most of the morning-drive DJs that were on at that time (early-1990s), I can say that you are one of the nicest, most humble gentlemen to grace the airwaves. You deserve better than what those talentless, no-clue-having assclowns at Z-93 are giving you. If I were to clean up my potty mouth and get Biblical for a minute, there is the old adage "You reap what you sew," and that is exactly what has happened at Z-93. They're tanking, and every ratings book that comes out shows it sliding down further and further, and that makes me smile. They deserve it. Z-93 is the most mis-managed station I've seen in all my years in Atlanta, EVER! They couldn't manage a fart at a baked-bean dinner, much less manage a radio station. Karma, baby. It has bit their arse. :) Keep your chin up, keep smiling, and hug that baby for me. As a fairly new father (of two years), I know that those hugs are the best medicine for anything that may ail you. Oh, and at the end of that Z-93 contract, make sure you write them a letter thanking them for grossly overpaying you to do traffic instead of having the balls to suck it up and kindly release you. I'm glad you're sticking it out! Screw 'em for all the money you can. You deserve it!! Also point out to the Z-93 braintrust (what an oxymoron) that it was their own stupidity that got them in the quagmire they're in, and tell them that this radio guy in Conyers hopes they end up with a zero rating and they have to sell Z-93 for millions less than it's worth. I remember in the 1970s and early 1980s, when Z-93 meant something other than a punchline. God bless you and your family. Keep us updated on where you'll be next. Happy Holidays! Brian Foster Conyers GA
MOBY, I MISS HEARING YOU IN THE MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK, YOU BRIGHTNED MY DAY. IM LOST WITHOUT YOU. LISA, CONYERS,GA
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Moby and Family. I hope your holidays are happy and God blesses you all.
Hi Moby, Just thought i would drop you a line to wish you and your family a merry CHRISTmas and a happy new year. Even i have never meet Jonah i am verrrrrry proud of him as i to was in the navy 74-78 aboard the USS SAVANNAH (AOR-4). Moby remember i lost 231 LBS w/ w/Watchers a few years back and then gained it all back. Well on 8/22 I had Gastric bypass sur. since then i have lost 94 lbs and counting it saved my life. Looking foward to the day when you are back on the air in BIG A so please tell those guys to hurry up. David Chandler
Yo Moby: Just to refresh your memory, I used to work at the Governor's Office of Highway Safety and retired a little early when the politics got totally whacko. My first indication of incompetency at the top was several years ago when, following my recommendation that they contact you because of your oft stated position on seat belts, law enforcement, etc, they did and then frittered away the opportunity to use you as a spokesperson for seat belts. Since I was a regular listener of KICKS, I thought I would probably be designated to work with you but that didn't happen and the whole concept never really got off the ground. Regardless, I remained a fan of yours. Your sudden exit from KICKS was a stunner and I remarked to several friends that I would wager the details of that would make interesting conversation over a couple of beers because I knew from the get-go you got screwed. When you re-surfaced at Z93 I picked up on that although I am not a big rock fan. Then, BAM!, as Emeril would say, you were demoted to traffic. There have since been a few occasions while riding somewhere with Carolyn that I have commented, "there's Moby" and my bride's response was, "but it doesn't sound like him". The only explanation I could give was that you had been shackled and chained up by one or more politically correct nincompoops who did not have a clue about real people out here who want to hear MOBY at his best. I usually added something like he sounds like he is p----d off and he has every right to be. Anyway, keep up the struggle and get back on the air. I can only hope your re-emergence will be on an Atlanta area station so we can begin to enjoy your style again. Your web comments about your family life were wonderful. I can recall your repeated loving comments about Jonah over the years and to read about a 6'-3" young sailor makes me start feeling my age. Carolyn and I extend to you and your family best wishes for a truly Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Our greatest wish for you is for us to be able to turn on the radio and hear "Good morning, this is your old pal, Moby".
I love you! I want to marry you!
Well Moby, I keep checking to see if there is any news on the "Radio" homefront. Nothing yet, I see. I keep hoping and praying that you will be back on the air soon. I very rarely turn on the radio any more (You are not there!) I just listen to the country cd's. It's not the same, but it's better than listening to the CRAP that is on the radio now! I am glad to hear that Jonah got to come home for Thanksgiving. I know how proud you must be! Yeah Baby!!! Happy Holidays to you and Your's! Sincerely, Ginny & Family
Happy Birthday Moby! Our birthdays are near each other. Mine was the 13th of December. Anyhows, I am so glad that you still have this site and I look forward to listening to you on the radio again. I have listened to you since I was 15 and I am 23 now. I used to go see you at the Renassaince Festival and it is hard to believe that little boy I saw last time I went is now all grown up and defending our country. God bless you Moby. Whatever station you go to, you can be sure that I will be a loyal listener.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Moby and May God Bless and Be with you.
