Moby - Can't tell you how big my grin was when I heard you weren't leaving Atlanta airwaves after all. You are what makes Atlanta morning radio great. I have followed you over to Z93 - you are making an already great station the best!

Hey Moby-Doo! Recently, while cleaning out some cabinet drawers I ran across an autographed pic of you that I got about 16 years ago when you worked at a station in Dallas. You were at a restaurant in South West Dallas doing some promo gig. You wrote on there, "Elaine, you are precious!" <LOLOLOLOL> Anyhow I decided to put "Moby in the morning" in a search engine and viola! Here you is! In Atlanta to boot! I'm really glad to see you're still out there kicking and fighting the good fight. :o) And if you ever come back to Dallas after all these years, well, ya got at least one fan! Be well friend, Elaine Duncanville TX

Moby, I was distraught when I woke up one morning to find you were no longer on the radio. After several psychiatric sessons to deal with the loss (kidding), low and behold, I found you. I am so glad you are on the radio, Moby, I really love the kindness you show everyone your life touches. Keep on Rockin Moby!!

I found out where you were going just the week before you started and could not wait to hear your voice again! You start my day off right! Well except for my husband & family. I have always enjoyed Z93 and it just gets better and better, esp. now that you are there. I only have one question> Why does that Davis girl not like you? I have heard her say a couple of things on air that make me think she is after your early morning spot and she isn't crazy about you being at Z93? What's her problem? After something she said last week, I had decided not to listen until you get back and then I thought I would give her another chance but, I was disappointed when she made another remark that made me want to have you back even more. I have to admit I still listen to country but, not Kicks but, you are always my morning show and will be wherever you are. I hope you had a great vacation. Yeah baby!!!! Kay Carlisle

Chrissy hines should be ashamed of herself. I don't have a problem with saying you don't believe that we should start war over there, but for her to say that she hopes we get our ass kicked is not right! For shame Chrissy, I figured out why you go as Chrissy instead of chris. You are still a little girl and need to grow up.

Hey Moby, I was really upset when you left the other station. I'm just now getting used to your new show. YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!! I turned on my radio this morning and you weren't on. I heard something about you not being on this week, but I didn't hear the details. What's going on? Are you just on vacation or what? Please don't make me go thru "Moby Withdrawals" again. Thanks, Marci

Everyone, including Chrissy Hines, is entitled to their opinions. By the same token, my opinion is that Chrissy Hines' thoughtless comment makes me sick to the core of my soul. People who feel that way should move to another country. She obviously is very naive and self-centered.

Let's help out poor Chrissy. Chrissy is wishing for something that is highly unlikely. There are, however many charitable people in this country who would love to help make her life complete. Her wishes can be fulfilled many times over; all she need do is announce a time and place. If, however, Chrissy should change her mind, she might consider apologizing PROFUSELY to the millions of people that she has insulted and outraged. Either way, Chrissy. But pick one and get it done!!

My daughter is a hardcord Country fan and would listen to you on that other station in the am on the way to school. But I gave you a chance and have to admit I like you and your show. I really like the line up of music you play, very differnt than the last jock. Good luck and will continue to listen to the Moby in the Morning show daily. Alyson Shelton

Moby, I didnt care for you on Morning Country, so when I listened to country a few years ago, I listened to the other station. I grew up on what is now classic rock. I went back to my roots, but when the "old" long time atlanta morning dj was gone, I was lost. I love a "morning show" more than music and weather, news and sports. Ya'll have it all now. thanks for your stand on AMERICA. I just wish everyone shared our freedom for all opinions. Freedom like salvation, is bought with a price. It is the duty of the 'free' to help those that cannot help themselves. thanks connie

I thoroughly enjoy your show. I have been a loyal Z93 listener since I relocated to Social Circle, Georgia in 1996. I used to live in Stephenville, Texas for several years (4 hours from Houston). Obviously, I enjoy the music. However, I really enjoy the various interviews. Specifically, I enjoyed it when Charlie Daniels read his letter to Hollywood. I also enjoy your program because of the chemistry between you and MaKenzie. You make a good team. Keep up the good work.

Hello Moby, I have been enjoying the show the past several months. Every morning, I fitness walk over three miles starting at about 6:40 each day. I always have my headphones on and the radio set to Z93. I guess I need to take my cell phone with me so I could win Lyrical Pursuit one of these days. I worked in college radio with Willard way back when and even used to fly around in a helicopter talking about traffic. If you need a traffic fill-in, please let me know. Take care and keep on rockin' down the highway.

Moby, I have been listening for a couple of days to all the dialogue about the UGA situation and I would like to suggest another theory as to why Dooley made the decision to pull from the post season. He may be trying to show good faith to the NCAA so that when sanctions come (and when the investigation is done, they will come), UGA can show that they took the allegations seriously and took proactive action. In the long run this may save the program because typically the NCAA slaps heavy sanctions including loss of scholarships and post season play for such problems. It is unfortunate this has come to pass, and Harrick is a good coach, but he came in a cloud of allegations and shame on the administration for not putting him on a short leash in managing the integrity of the program. I remember when they announced Harrick, my concern at that time based on his history my surprise that GA would hire him. Unfortunately, my intuition was right, sorry to say.

I HAVE AN OPINION OF MY OWN ABOUT ALL THESE SO CALLED AMERICANS THAT ARE AGAINEST THE WAR WITH IRAQ. NOBODY WANTS ANOTHER WAR BUT IF WE DONT DEAL WITH THIS TIRANT NOW WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO LATER. THIS GREAT COUNTRY WAS MADE STRONG AND FREE BY FIGHTING FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS. I'M AN X NAVY SEABEE AND TO THINK THAT THE ATACK ON US AT THE WTC AND THE PENTAGON IS ANY DIFFERANT THAN PEARL HARBOR IS TOTALLY STUPID. WE WERE'NT PART OF THAT WAR ETHER. MARTIN SHEEN MADE SOME UNPATRIOTIC REMARKS ABOUT THAT WAR. NOT TO MENTION JANE FONDA. NOW WE HAVE THESE FOOLS. I GUESS ALL THOSE PEOPLE IN THE WTC AND THE PENTAGON WERE EXSPENDABLE AND DIED FOR NOTHING. ASK THE PARANTS AND CHILDREN AND HUSBANDS AND WIFES OF THOSE LOST IF THERE NOT WEARTH FIGHTING FOR.I KNOW FREEDOM IS. THES DOGOODERS DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS TO FIGHT FOR ANYTHING. MABY THEY NEED TO FIGHT FOR THERE NEXT MEAL AND SEE IF THEY CAN GET USED TO THAT. SORRY FOR RAMBLING ON BUT IM SICK OF IT. I LOVE THE SHOW I LISSON EVERY MORNING FROM 6:00AM TIL I GET TO WORK AT 7:30AM.AND THEN HOME AT 5:00PM. KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOUR DOING. P.S. ART'S A HOOT.YEAH BABY !!!!!!

"About France..." The following are quotes from various commentators regarding the issue of France's refusal to accept the US position on Iraq: "Going to war without France is like going duck hunting without your accordion." --Donald Rumsfeld, U.S. Secretary of Defense "As far as I'm concerned, war always means failure." --Jacques Chirac, President of France "As far as France is concerned, you're right." --Rush Limbaugh "They've taken their own precautions against al-Qa'ida. To prepare for an attack, each Frenchman is urged to keep duct tape, a white flag, and a three-day supply of mistresses in the house." --Argus Hamilton "Somebody was telling me about the French Army rifle that was being advertised on eBay the other day -- the description was, 'Never shot. Dropped once.'" --Rep. Roy Blunt (MO) "The French will only agree to go to war when we've proven we've found truffles in Iraq." --Dennis Miller "What do you expect from a culture and a nation that exerted more of its national will fighting against DisneyWorld and Big Macs than the Nazis?" --Dennis Miller "Raise your right hand if you like the French ... raise both hands if you are French." Q. Why are there so many tree-lined boulevards in France? A. Germans like to march in the shade. "You know why the French don't want to bomb Saddam Hussein? Because he hates Americans, he loves mistresses and wears a beret. He is French, people." --Conan O'Brien "I don't know why people are surprised the French don't want to help us get Saddam out of Iraq. After all, France wouldn't help us get the Germans out of France." --Jay Leno Q. What did the mayor of Paris say to the German Army a they entered the city in WWII? A. Table for 100,000, m'sieur? "The last time the French ask for 'more proof' it came marching into Paris under a German flag." --David Letterman "Do you know how many Frenchmen it takes to defend Paris? It's not known, it's never been tried." --Rep. R. Blount (MO) "Do you know it only took Germany three days to conquer France in WWII? And that's because it was raining." --John Xereas, Manager, DC Improv.

Hello Moby, I just downloaded the 'Bomb Iraq' song. I love it! My wife used to listen to you on Kicks all the time, and I did a few times as well. However, I prefer Classic Rock over Country music. I am glad you are on Z-93 now. As for the upcoming war in Iraq, everyone is entitled to their opinion and whether a person supports war or not, our young men and women are over there doing a job that sucks. No matter what we need to support our troops. When I heard this morning that Chrissy Hines of the Pretenders said that she hopes we get our asses kicked over there, I was outraged! Excuse my language but, This bitch needs to just leave our country and renounce her citizenship if that is the way she feels. Let's see her go there and be a 'human shield'. My son is currently serving in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Abraham Lincoln, which is currently in the Persion Gulf, so this really hits close to home. Sorry for the rant, Moby. You and the rest of the morning crew are doing a great job. The only thing I would like to ask is that you play the Scotsman's Song before 6:30 a.m. once in a while. Say hello to Mackenzie for me. Moby, I am so thrilled to have found you. After an extended illness, I turned on my radio one Monday morning while preparing for work to discover that you had left Kicks the previous Friday. I was heart-broken! No kidding - that's exactly how it felt. I think it took nearly a month to not feel the sadness every morning at your absence. Last evening I was channel surfing & Z93 happened to be playing something that I really liked. It's not a station I listen to very often but since I liked the next several selections also, I kept it there. Much to my immense joy, I turned on my radio this morning & there you were! It's a wonder I didn't wreck my car in my excitement! There is something I meant to tell you for years & just never got around to. I figure I'd better do it now just in case you disappear again (heaven forbid!) I began listening to you August 4, 1991, & except when not awake in time, never listened to anyone else. I had always wondered how folks could be so dedicated & loyal to any one DJ as I'd never felt that in the 40+ years I've been a radio listener. Then you came along & I understood. Finding the right DJ does make a world of difference! Thank you so much for bringing me such joy for 11+ years. I've met you a couple of times, but hardly expect you to remember me specifically; you meet way too many fans to remember us all. The last time was at The Varsity when you did your show from there. I got an autographed pic (which I still have)& won the "In What Year Did It Happen" contest while I was there. I love my t-shirt & cap. I sure hope I'll find that Z93 suits me more than it has in the past, as I really want your show back in my life again. I sighed for old times sake at the Challenge of the Sexes this morning. And I see the Scotsman Song on your website. Life is good! Fondly, Carol

I AM THE CALLER WITH THE DIFFERING OPINION ABOUT CHRISSE HYNDE. WHILE I APPRECIATE THAT YOURS IS AN OPINION THAT DIIFERS FROM MY OWN, IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU ANY LESS INFORMED. THE SUPREME COURT MADE GEORGE W. PRESIDENT, NOT THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE, NOR THE VOTING PUBLIC. WHEN THE RECOUNTS WHERE HALTED, IN FLORIDA, THE VOTE COUNT WAS TOO CLOSE TO CALL. GETTING BACK TO MS. HYNDE , WHILE I DO DISAGREE WITH THE COMMENTS SHE MADE ABOUT THE US NEEDING TO LOSE THE UPCOMING WAR, I AGREE WITH THE THOUGHTS BEHIND IT. OUR WAR IS NOT WITH IRAQ, BUT WITH THE TERRORIST RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 9-11 ATTACK. I HAVE YET TO SEE OR HERE ANY DEFINITIVE PROOF LINKING SADDAM OR IRIAQ WITH BIN LADEN OR THE AL QUEDA. IT IS ALSO NAIVE TO BELIEVE THAT THE ACTIONS OF THIS SITTING PRESIDENT (AND THOSE IN HIS CABINET WITH REGARD TO MILITARY ACTION I.E. POWELL & CHENEY) HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH 9-11. THESE ACTIONS ARE PURELY TO RESTORE THEIR OWN & FAMILIAL REPUTATIONS THAT WHERE CALLED INTO QUESTION IN THE ORIGINAL GULF WAR. GEORGE W. IS TRYING TO END WHAT DADDY WOULDN'T OR COULDN'T ACCOMPLISH --- THE DEATH OR OUSTER OF SADDAM. THE MISUSE OF THE POWER YOU WIELD ,BEING AN ON AIR PERSONALITY IS DISTRESSING TO ANYONE WITH A DIFFERING OPINION, OF WHICH THERE ARE MANY. IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU WOULD JUST SHUT UP AND PLAY THE MUSIC OR GO TO TALK RADIO WHERE YOUR PERSONAL VIEWS, NO MATTER HOW ILL INFORMED WOULD BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS. GOOD DAY

I was in shoes back in the late 1980's so I know how he feels & I know how my mom felt so I know you are real proud of him as I am also. I am a veteran of the Desert Storm Conflist (Gulf War 1) so I know what he must be feeling inside before he even gets to boot camp. Keep up the good work on the air. I will continue to listen to you when I have the chance to listen. YEAH BABYYYYYYYYYYYY. Later Your Friend & A Loyal Listner, John R Rowell P.S. My wife won Superbowl tickets from you in 1995.

Moby, I have been a Z93 listener for thirty plus years, off and on. I started listening again everyday about 3 years ago. When the changes were made last October, I must admit I was a little skeptical. I had listened to you some over the years and I just could not imagine you on Rock & Roll. I have throughly enjoyed the show - Thanks! and Have a great day!

And even at that, they SUCK! You are the best DJ I have ever listened to and now....FOR ME...ITS' Z93... You are the greatest..best of luck to you and your family.

Moby, I have good news and bad news. The good news is I'm so glad I found you and I've changed the radio station I listen to on my way to work each morning. The bad news is I only live 4 miles away. Not sure if you'll remember me, but I sent you an email just before the other station lost their minds. I'm from the group of comedians that were offering free comedy shows so we could get some stage time. We were looking for some contacts at Dobbins to offer a comedy show. I'm very happy to report that we are doing very well and have performed at numerous places, including two shows at Dobbins. We are now working with several chartible organizations performing comedy shows with proceeds going to the organizations. When we get a local show I'd love to invite you. Take care and I'll try to drive as slowly as possible each morning! Diane

Hey Moby, Just wanted to say you are doing a great job. I will admit that I was worried at first because I have never been a big country music fan and I knew you had been doing the country thing for a long time, I just wasn't sure how that was going to work. Well, now I can see that I WAS WRONG!! My husband had the pleasure of meeting you this past deer hunting season when you stopped by our Deer processing business in Meriwether County. I stay inside the office when I'm there(I can't handle the actual processing) Sorry I missed you, maybe next time. Keep up the good work !! Laura

Hi Moby! Happened across this page because I was looking at a page called "Linda's Lyrics", which I was looking at because there was a link to it in a weekly e-mail I get called "Character Counts" (which I subscribed to because I am a local school board member in Pearland, TX--a suburb on the south side of Houston). I met you many years ago (must have been c. 1981) in a club on Richmond in Houston. You were a new DJ on either 97 or 101 (I can't remember which one!), and I had just moved to Houston. I was sitting there with a girl (the one and only date I ever had with her), and you walked up and started chatting with us, because you saw that I was wearing a KSHE 95 "Smoking Pig" t-shirt. Never forget it--great big guy with a thick black beard sauntering over toward us; you said "Hey man, I know that station, its a serious rock-n-roller in St. Louis." You were very nice to us, which was a relief to me, since I thought perhaps you were coming over to kick my butt! Well, its great to know you're alive & well in Atlanta and have a great son. All the best!!! Dave Watson, Pearland, Texas

Moby When "the other station" made the decision they did - I wrote, called and expressed my displeasure, in addition to e-mailing you to give you the support you are so truly deserving of. I am so glad that you are still such a vital part of my mornings and it's amazing that the "other station" suffered a drop in ratings - imagine that and you don't even have to be from the South to figure that one out!!! Anyway, congratulations on Jonah - as a single mother of one, I can certainly relate to the poem you wrote on his behalf - what a lucky young man to be blessed with a father like you. God bless you both and Mary Beth, too. Good luck and I'll stay tuned.......

Moby I wonder how the other station's 4% drop looks now with bevios and butthead in the seat. You helped me through a tough time when my wife was digonosed with leukemia in 1999. Listening to you in the mornings realy helped. I am so glad that you are still in ATL. The best part is that my wife is still able to listen too.

Moby, I remember another young man preparing to go to fight for his country in a jungle hell called Viet Nam. I was putting on a brave front for my family, but in my heart I knew I was scared to death. The day I left my Dad took me by the hand and said these words; Remember son, there is someone whom will always be with you no matter how lonely or scared you get. Just put your faith in the Lord and he will take care of you either here or in heaven above. Trust in Him and he will see you through. And so He did.

You are wonderful! I used to listen to you on 97Rock in Houston, TX - you used to give away the Trans Ams, right? I was in high school then, and am now living in Northeast TN. I met you right before you moved to Atlanta - I was back home visiting my parents. I listened to you whenever we passed thru Atlanta at the right time of day - on a country music station - can't remember what it was. It's great to see you back where you belong. Good Luck!

Hi Moby, I am a huge fan of yours but unlike most of your fans I've never been able to listen to you on a daily basis. See, I live in Wisconsin and can't quite tune in any Atlanta stations on my radio. The only exposure I have had is from a couple bootleg tapes a friend of mine received from his uncle in Houston from 1984. This is when you were paired up with John Matthews on KSRR. I only have one tape left which I copied to CD. It's only 80 minutes from a average day but it's some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard. Made me want to move to Houston. Part of the appeal was the your accent! Anyways, you keep rockin and maybe someday I'll be able to listen to you every morning!

I heard the news of your "leaving" the KICKS station with a heavy heart, not knowing if you would remain in the Atlanta area, and with joy found you on an old favorite station! Z93! I listened to Z93 when I was in high school in the 70's and now as I enter my 40's I'm listening again and enjoying all the music I enjoyed in the 70's! Welcome home!

Dearest Moby, So glad you found a new home here in Atlanta. I moved to the Norfolk area of Virginia in 1995, and when we moved back this past summer, I was wondering where you were. We go back, you and I...remember the Gulf War and The Big Chicken. I am that lady who called you with the phone number. At the time my husband was the manager, now I am proud to say he is again in charge of The big bird, but he is the Area manager now. With all that is going on in the Gulf again, please don't hesitate to call on us if you need us again. Between you and me...John loves classic rock and was a little bit out of his element when you came with the other station. I am now a stay at home mom and don't listen as much as I should, but my thoughts are with you. I can't believe Jonah is all grown up. Having spent time in the area of Va. the Atlantic Fleet calls home, I made lots of friends in the Navy and count many of them as family now. My experience in that community was one of great pride in our military and the wonderful people who give their all for us. If there's anything I can do as far as info on the area up there etc... Please don't hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Cindy

Moby, I was listening to your show this morning and was very interested in the physic and what his predictions were. Unfortunately, I was listening while at work and was interupted many times and missed most of what he had to say. Is there any way I can get a list of predictions that he made? By the way, I love your show! I am a follower from the "other" station and am so glad that you stayed in the Atlanta area so that I can continue to be a part of your family. Yeah Baby!

I listened to Moby in the Morning when I lived in Atlanta in the early 90's. I was back recently and found that you were no longer on the old station. I was heartbroken, where is he , I was looking forward to hearing you again. I listened to you and not the music. I lived through several lifestyle changes as you did during that time and your show helped me make it. Thanks for the laughter! Glad I've found your new home, I hope that I can get it via the net. Is there an email adress where I can write a story to you? I have a story to tell about how you changed a family's radio habits. I hope that you will respond and let me know how to email you. Incidently, we have met before. I used to listen to your show on WKKW in Morgantown WV. Not long before your show wan no longer available to us you were supposed to come to the Morgantown police department. You did not make it. However, you were stopped, by police on your way out of town. That officer was me. At that time I had hoped to get a chance to tell the story, of how you changed my family, in person. I hope now that you will provide me with an email address so I can tell you that story.

Write if you can. I know you are very busy. Your faithful friend and new listener to Z93. Linda

Moby, Your son Jonah played football with my son ( Matt) at Roswell Park, (120 lb team) I still remember you both and the tape you had done with all the plyers names added for the award banquet, it is still a fond memory. Gald you are back on the radio, keep up the great work. John McEnery

I guess I've been so out of the loop on local news. I could not figure out why you were gone from KICKS and why your name is not mentioned there. You have also been deleted entirely from their web site. Well, I finally caught up with you, and I have re-programmed button #1 on my car stereo. Goodbye Kicks - Hello Z93! Congrats for landing on your feet! Keep up your GOOD work. Mike

I just got through reading the letter entitled "They Don't Like Us". I have to agree with the writer. Let's bring our troops home and let the countries that don't "like" us deal with their own problems. We will see how much they "like" us then. The poem to Jonah was right on the money. As usual Linda Ellis did it again. Very talented lady.

Hi Moby, We're Johnathon Calhoun's, one of your former interns nicknamed Coon, uncle and aunt. We've spoken briefly on the phone. His youngest brother, Nathon Calhoun 18, graduated from marine bootcamp in Sept. and is being shipped out in february to the Persian Gulf. Johnathon has joined the Air Force and will begin his basic training this February 23rd along with his cousin, Jason Wilburn, who is more like his brother than a cousin. Though it is so very difficult to see our love ones placed in a position of potential danger, we also are so very blessed, honored, and proud to be able to say, "Look at these young men we have helped raise. Men that would volunteer knowing war is a breath away." We know it was very hard to see your son go in the military right now. Because these boy's are the closest thing Derrel and I have to having children of our own and I'm going back and forth with my emotion's about it. This one thing we know is true. There is a God, and he hears our prayers. Know that America's Armed Forces and Our Young Men will be in our prayers. Devoted Listeners of Z93, Derrel and Vivian Davis

Moby, I know of your mixed feelings and emotions regarding Jonah, pride, fear, love of family and of country. My son just got out of the Marine Corp. last week. It indeed made him a better Man, better son, better brother and someday a better husband and father. Tell Jonah go in with his eyes wide open, make the best of what he is given, rise to the challenges they throw at him, and remember his Lord is in control. God Bless Chris

It has been a pleasure having some interaction with Moby and MaKenzie on the Classic Rock Z-93's "Moby in the Morning" show. From appearing on the "Breakfast Beatles" as Moby's first live in studio guests to chatting over the air waves on different occassions. It's like a breath of fresh air compared to what else is on the airwaves in the Atlanta region. I enjoy the approach of ringing out the artists names and the titles of the classic rock tunes before and after each song. It's like getting back to the roots of radio entertainment. It would be a pleasure for the "Scattered Thieves" band to appear on stage with Moby and provide some fine Southern "Funk-A-Billy" music for the Bass Tournament coming up on April 26, 2003. What is "Funk-A-Billy you ask? It's really a classic rock sound with a twist of alternative country and funk! So look out for Moby and MaKenzie and Scattered Thieves appearing around the corner and down the block from you. To find out more about the band at: www.geocities.com/scatteredthieves/scatteredthieves.html

I used to listen to you on 101.5 occasionally, mostly on fridays for the scot song. Man, what a surprize to find you on z93, and you brought the song with you. Hope you stick around on this station for a long, long time. I hope the station management knows what a good man they have. c'ya, kathy

Moby, I have missed you! I listened to you so many years (on that other radio station), I really didn't think I could change to classic rock. I tried several times, but just couldn't take it. Well, the music has finally grown on me because I just have to have you in the mornings. Thank you so much for staying with Atlanta radio. We need your personality, your faith, your patriotism, and your sensitivity reaching as many people as possible. Congratulations on Jonah; my stepson who grew during his middle and high school years to be my son, went into the Navy the summer after graduation also. He has grown up, met a wonderful girl, married, and hopefully will be a better person when he gets out next September. Love ya!

Moby, I have listened to you since you came to Atlanta Kicks and now on Z93 (I forgot all the good music I had listened to from high school and beyond) and listened to Jonah grow up. I know you are proud and worried about your son. I can only imagine what you are feeling now. I know proud is one of the emotions but also worry because this is your child and also as a parent that is one thing we do so well. I wish him safety and you peace of mind. You are doing great on Z-93 the first week we were kind of worried but you got back to your old self quick. Shirley

I have not been able to get them out of bed since we lost you in the a.m. Since we have found you again, the kids get up a little happier (and earlier again) and ready to hear you say "yea baby". A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, jack asses, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the wife replied.................. "in-laws."

THIS IS THE GREATEST POEM! As your fan, I have listened to you for Years and heard the Love of your son come through the radio. I know the poem says that you give him to serve our Great country, but as much as you love him, don't ever give him up, but always pray for him and I will too. AS a parent myself, we are forced to watch our children grow up and go off, but always let them know that we are always here for them. Keep us udated on your precious son Jonah and God Bless and protect him.

Moby, Your pride in Jonah is well placed. He has my support, prayers and grateful thanks. I have a 14 year old daughter who at the age of 13 decided to join the Air Force upon your high school graduation. She has not waivered in this decision. She is a freshman at Shiloh High School in Gwinnett County and this semester has joined the AFJROTC. My pride in here is as great as the pride you have for Jonah. I have listened to you for years at that "other station" and when I moved to classic rock I was thrilled to hear you back in the morning hours. My commute and the start of my work day is so much better thanks to you, McKenzie, Art and Willard. Thanks for your son and for doing a great job. Sarah Crutchfield Snellville, GA

Glad to hear you back on the air, have always enjoyed your show. Hope Bill is able at some time to join the crew. Can't wait to read the Atlanta Magazine article; a local colunmist in the Rockdale Citizen wrote an article about your departure from the other show. He mentioned something about you sounding too country and you sort of referred to something like the other day. I just can't imagine. Well their lose, glad to hear you again.

Moby, I guess I qualify as an old Moby listener. I started out 10 years ago listening to you on that other radio station. At the time I was new to country and you gave me a new appreciation for the music. I bumped into you at the air show, the chili cook-off and some other venues and was impressed with you sincere attitude with the fans. Now that you've changed stations, I had to tune in to see what was going on. Well, I'm back at my roots and listening to that good old classic rock. I guess I never realized how much I appreciated the presentation as much as the music. Keep up the good work, I'll be listening.

Moby ...It's fantastic that you 've found your niche with Z93 . My Congrats ! Hope you continue to bring the classic rock tunes to Atlanta for a long time to come. I especially enjoyed a personal visit to your studios recently with Jim Dandy of Black Oak Arkansas. The tune he played on the air... " DANDY CANDY " ...was a " HIT " in my books. I'd like a repeat performance or " replay " of that again....< hint > Willard ??? YEAH BABY !

Moby, it is nice to find you. I am slow! I enjoy listening to you but find that the rock that I grew up on is not what I am searching for on my morning drive. Nonetheless, I switch back from 101.5 for the music and Z93 for the conversation. The Moby replacements are a disappointment, poor Jim and Jill. Will keep searching for the right combination for a while, but I am glad you did not have to relocate at this time. Take care

Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft............... Today, it's called golf. ---------------------------------------------- Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.. ---------------------------------------------- The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for. ---------------------------------------------- Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved. --------------------------------------------- How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are? ---------------------------------------------- When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra. --------------------------------------------- You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks. ---------------------------------------------- One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young. ---------------------------------------------- One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been. ---------------------------------------------- Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable. ----------------------------------------------- Old age is when former classmates are so gray and wrinkled and bald, they don't recognize you. ---------------------------------------------- If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you won't have anything to laugh at when you are old. --------------------------------------------- First you forget names, then you forget faces. Then you forget to pull up your zipper, then . Moby, I just wanted to say "Thank GOD that I found you again," haha, I was extremely upset when you went off the air from 101.5 and I haven't listened to that station much since then. When I found out that you were back on the air, I started listening to you again. I just want you to know that you are a true inspiration to all and 101.5 lost something great but Z93 gained something outstanding. I believe that Z93 got the greatest end of this situation. Glad to hear your voice in the morning again.

I followed you over from KICKS. My husband was already a Z93 listener. Now when we are in the car together we don't have to fight over which station we are going to listen to. I wish you would post some pictures of your dogs and cats and of course the pig. We are big animal lovers and would like to see yours.

Moby, I feel as though I have grown up with you and Jonah over the years. From Texas (the eagle) to Georgia (kicks) and now (Z93). I am sure your love and compassion that exumes over the radio was also shared at home, and in his daily life which means he too should be a true PATRIOT and great addition to our military. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY (NEW AND OLD) GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!! Remember Christopher ! PROUD AMERICAN

Why do you guys keep saying "the new moby in the morning show?" it's not new anymore...also i loved the info Dave used to give out and research during Breakfast Beatles...how come no commentary from Moby...i say don't even have it if no one wants to put the effort into it like Dave did......

so sad that your not at the other station anymore, I used to listen to you every morning while going to college, first time a morning show ever made me laugh, one day I turn the radio on and your not there, I litterally grew up on classic rock so naturally I hate it. we moved into a new home and its a further drive to take my kids to school thats when I started channel surfing on the radio and found out you were gone I was very dissapointed. It was a sad day for me today, I found my favorite morning person on z93 a radio station that I cant stand so I wont be tuning in and will miss you very much.

I must say that mornings just weren't the same without you on KICKS. My children grew up with you. My daughter was a toddler when you moved to Atlanta and I found out I was pregnant with my son your first day at KICKS. I listened faithfully for many years and so did they. One morning on the way to school (I'm a teacher) my daughter said "Mom, where's Moby." At first I just assumed you were on vacation but after several weeks I decided to investigate. When my husband came home several weeks later and told me you were on Z93 I couldn't believe it. Not because of the rock n' roll but because I wasn't sure you stayed in the Atlanta area. Z93 was my home station during high school and college and through the days of Steve McCoy in the mornings. It's so nice to have you back. Yeah Baby. We'll be listening daily.

After the first few days of listening to you when you first started on Z93, you sound alot more comfortable now, like you belong there. Congratulations!! I enjoy listening!

I'm really glad you came over to Z93. I used to listen to you occasionally on Kicks and it was kind of hard at first to think of you as a rock and roller, but you're doing a fabulous job. Z93 needed an outstanding personality for their morning show and you're it. Take care and thanks for everything you do.

After moving to KC a few years back, I've lost touch with the Moby show, and missed it terribly. Tried to keep up on news on the website now and then but it wasn't the same. Always loved the extra stories and words of encouragement during the holiday season so I logged back on and was shocked to hear you left KICKS. My goodness, what happened? What happened to Debra, (I noticed that Jim is still with KICKS)? I need some info on the blue light in the window at X-mas. I understood that it showed support for law enforcement, but no one in KC has heard it before and I find it difficult to explain why all my window candles are clear except for the blue one. I would like to start the tradition here. By the way, after leaving KICKS you should have visited KC home of great BBQ and steaks. We would have loved to have your spirit. Think about it if there is a next time! Yeah baby! Kim

It has taken me this long to find you. I don't do a lot of channel surfing and I guess I should have. I was a loyal country listner and will still enjoy country music, but I can't stand the 2 new guys they brought in. I don't know how Jim and Jill can put up with this idiots. They have absolutely no personality and the show is a major bore. I'll be listening tomorrow am for the first time and hope to get to Toy r us tomorrow to drop off a gift. Hope you and your wife and Jonah too have a great holiday. Kicks made a terrible mistake. You don't get rid of the best thing you have going for you.

I heard the story this morning about the Railey family. That just helps to remind me of how much you care for your listeners. I have shared many laughs and shed many tears with you over time and look forward to many more good times. Thanks for all the support you give to public safety personell (I am a paramedic). Look forward to seeing you in Griffin GA soon. Thanks for all you do. Tony P.S.-If you may need another truck to help carry gifts to the Railey's home, e-mail me. I will do whatever I can.

I found you. I haven't listened to Z93 in the morning since the late 70's and early 80's when Ross & Wilson and then Steve McCoy's first go round in Ga. I was so surprised when you (poof!)were gone from kicks. I was so happy the other evening when I was listening to Z93 and they advertised your morning show. Does Jonah like the rock scene? The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't know until Dec. that you have been on Z93 since oct. I'm glad I found you and you are still in town. michelle jones

Moby, Just by chance I found you this morning on the radio and I was thrilled. I have missed you so much since August and wonder about you every morning when I listen to the radio. Kicks isn't the same without you!! And then, there was a voice I knew and I just stared at the radio. It has been many, many years since I have listened to Z93 (you are right though, it is the music I grew up with) but I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with my younger days and smiling to Moby in the Morning once again. I have missed you!!! Yeah baby. :)

Like any other old timer, I was upset that there was change on my favorite radio station. Having said that, I am a dedicated listener, because after all, it is about the music. While you Moby, do sound like you should be a country DJ, your resume, music knowledge and background, actually indicate that you are where you belong. You bring that good-ole-boy southern charm to the program and that is what keeps me from changing my dial. Good luck, don't upset Makenzie, because she is great to listen to and and better to look at. Good luck in your new home.. Savannah Steve

Can't think of anyone who would appreciate this more. The following passage is from a sermon by John Hagee: I want you to close your eyes and picture in your mind the soldier at Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands. He stands barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war. He stands though, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this... I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution and now your children graduate too illiterate to read it.I fought in the snow barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home because it rains. I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business. I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it has stolen democracy from the people. It's the soldier, not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press. It's the soldier, not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech. It's the soldier, not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate. It's the soldier, who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag!!! When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our U.S. forces in Afghanistan, AND all around the world. "Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen." When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our U.S. forces in Afghanistan, AND all around the world.

You can have a Krystal every now and then, I've been trying to loose weight the past year, and I've lost 75lbs, but you still have to cheat now and then.. or its not fun.

Yea! I found you! I was very upset when I tuned in several months ago and very abruptly, you were not on the air. I called the station and was directed to send an e-mail message, which I did, expressing my disappointment. I even e-mailed Neal Boortz asking if he knew where you had gone, as I knew he was a listener and friend of yours. I never got a response, but I gave up the other station as I didn't like the replacement (although I still liked Jim Vann - he's sharp). Anyway as I was trying out new programs in the morning while I do my work out routine, I heard the announcer say to stay tuned for Moby. Now, Moby, rock is not my bag, but this station says "Classic Rock", so I'll give it a try. It's good to hear you again!

My husband came home and told me when I left the next morning for work to tune into Z93 he did not tell me why but I took his advise and as I was listening I heard the sweetest voice I have ever heard and that my friend was you. I didnt know weather to cry or scream for joy. I have missed you in the mornings and now I have you back. Thank you for every tear you brought to my eyes and for every laugh you brought to my life. My mornings are now complete with you. I hope you have a very wonderful holiday. Thank you Tonya Anderson

Hey Mr Moby, Just read in the AJC the other station has finaly hired someone they think can replace you. Not only did they hire one, they had to hire two to do what you did. Pretty funny don't you think. They will never be able to replace you. They have very few listeners now, because everyone has switched to Z93 and loving it. Yea baby and hello peaches.

I will be honest with you Moby... I did leave 106 and switched to Z93 about a month or more before you came to Z93. I got so tired of the "Yeah Baby" and the "cocky attitude" that you presented to 90% of the callers including myself. I literally felt so sorry for the callers who got cut off like they were no one. My attitude is "no one is better than anyone, we are all the same with different upbringings" And I back away from anyone who shows that. When my mother (who adores you) told me that you were suppose to come to Z93, I about had a fit. She did tell me that she honestly believes that you were so unhappy that is why you showed a bad attitude. I was going to change stations, even though I did not want to leave Z93, she convinced me to stay. Since then, you DO appear to be happier. I really hope that the good attitude stays and the "I am better than you" personality does not come back. I DO NOT want to leave Z93. Remember Moby... You have so, so much to be thankful for. You put your pants on the same way everyone else does, the only difference in me and you is sometimes I have to lay on the bed to get my zipper up.......

Hi Moby - after listening to you at your new radio home now since October, it appears that you have really settled into your "niche" at Z93. You sound happy, relaxed and are still showing your true colors to your listening audience. Glad you are there and we always enjoy the show.

When I first moved to Georgia (5 1/2 yrs) my husband got me started with Moby In The Morning. He had been a loyal listner from your start in Atlanta. I had never liked Country Music & thanks to you & him I began to enjoy it. Whenever his job sent us out of town I would listen via my computer. We were very sad when you suddenly were not on the air. I sent a couple of emails & received a couple back & eventually let your old station know we would no longer listen to their station. My husband changed to another country station & I went back to an oldies station. Lee called me one day from work all excited. One of his coworkers told him where to tune to find your new show. I was very delighted to find you on a classic rock station & my husband likes a variety of music so he now listens to you in the morning & that other country station in the afternoon. Our home stereo (which is on 75% of the day & night) is now tuned exclusively to Z93. Thank you for not leaving Atlanta & for once again brightning our mornings. We love you. Donna & Lee Kilgore

I just recently found out you are on Z93 and will be listening again beginning Monday December 2nd. I haven't listend to Z93 very much in the past, but if you are still the same Moby I listend to for years, I am sure I will become a regular. I'll have to split my time between Z93 and WSB. Glad your back!!

Hey Moby, I have to tell you that I have listened to you off and on forever. I like country and classic rock. I have to tell you that when I read a little article in the paper that had said you were let go because you were too country it was a ____ shame. No one can be too country!!! I have been listening to your show in the AM's and love it. I work at night and if I didn't have you to laugh at on the way home I would be in lala land most mornings. Keep up the wonderful work. Moby, I'm sorry to say that I've never heard you on the radio before, and I'd like to apologize for that, but I was looking for the "Scotsman" song, and it brought me to your site. If I could could your radio station, I'd give it a listen, but at least let me thank you for one of my most favorite songs. If I may, could I ask you if you know whether or not the "Scotsman" song can be found on tape, and if so, what is the name of the tape? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and friends.

Moby, I was a huge fan, while your were being broadcast on WKKW in Morgantown. I miss your stories, those that made me laugh and those that made me cry. I no longer listen to WKKW, they have lost a lot of listeners. If you know of a station where I could continue to listen I'd be greatful. I was surprised to see Jonah, All grown up. Give him a hug each day! My daughter left me 10/26/01. There is not a moment of her life that I regret. She too was my friend!!!! What I do regret is that She was killed while coming home from college to surprise me. Thanks for the music and the stories, I feel like I've know you always and miss spending my mornings with you. Good luck with all that you do! I do have another question, I would like to download The Scottsman Song for a gentleman,He is to be married December14th and he is wearing a Kilt for his Bride to be.

I have been a die hard country fan for most of my life but they have lost me as a listener. I can't imagine starting out my mornings without my Moby. Glad to have you back, Peaches!!! We love you!! Thank goodness you're back!! I've always been a silent fan of yours since 1991. I don't choose to be a D.J. "groupie" because my younger brother is a country music disc jockey for the Big 98 in Live Oak, FL. I see how people won't leave him alone!! Any time I go anywhere with him, people holler, "Hey Kickin' Kevin'!!" Then they come over to chat even if we're trying to have dinner or enjoy a show! Anyway, I have always enjoyed your shows and even agree with most of what you opine on the air. Thank you for all you do for charity--especially the kids!! I have always loved Z-93 also. I listened to Z-93 in junior high and high school (1973-1979), and I even won $100.00 from them when I was in the 8th grade!! Now I am a returning fan of Z-93 with you now doing the morning drive!! Thanks again!! Kim M. Johnson

Moby, This morning I was listening to Kicks with Bill Sellers and just couldn't take any more of his plain wrapper talk. I got to missing you so much, I resorted to searching for a ROCK 'N ROLL station called Z93. Even though there is no "93" on the dial, I didn't give up! I searched till I heard that wonderful, familiar voice I was missing so much. LOVED the song you wrote when joining Z93! Don't forget us country listeners just because Kicks has lost their mind and chose to change morning DJ's. We miss you and love ya!

MOBY....Oh my gosh! I found you this morning as I flipped on my 7 year olds radio to help wake her up...there was your voice! I about fell off the bed...ran in and awoke my husband to tell him your on Z93!!! You then played Southern at 7 and both of the songs my husband (he has the same bday as you and reminds me of you) sang the lyrics! My husband is a native born at the Grady and loves Almond Brothers etc., I haven't listened to 101.5 since you left...I was really hurt by them not renewing your contract! I am younger than my husband(he and you are the same age) so at 34 am not as familiar with the classic rock...but I listened all morning! It was great to hear the Scottsman song again! Jonah looks so grown up! I hope you and Mary Beth are well...God Bless you Both! Maire Holcombe

Moby, Over the years I've listened to you occasionally on the country station. But, I'm into the classic rock and couldn't listen to country music for very long. I've also scanned the rock stations never really having a "home" station. Now that I've heard you on Z93 I now have a great station that I can call "home". Keep up the good work.

Moby, As a country fan of yours, I have missed you and your take on such events as Veteran's Day and the CMA awards. I have listened to your new show and find that you seem rather subdued. There doesn't seem to be as much interaction between you and the listeners. I have always enjoyed your dedication to your listeners and their families. I wish you the best of success. I will tune in from time to time to relive my high school days but I am a country girl at heart! Take care!

Hey Peaches! Welcome back to the airwaves. Didn't know how much I missed you til you weren't there. Glad there was a station with common sense that took you in. You really do liven up the airwaves! Mom and I really enjoy hearing "The Scotsmans Song", could it come on earlier so she could catch it, before 8 if possible? Read plenty of the guestbook comments and agree with most of them not with negative ones though. When I need to wake up its usually been with you Moby--in fact I listen even before your show. I like Mackenzie, she's a keeper. Well hope you and your family are blessed and may He continue to smile on Y'all. YEAH BABY! Kellyann & famiy

The word is spreading! I just heard today you were back on the air with Z93. I never realized what a good DJ added to a radio station until you were gone. However when you left I left and went down the dial. I was elated to hear you were back and look forward to returning to my roots also and will join you in the morning. By the way, loved your photo album. Mary Beth is cute as a button and Jonah has grown into a very good looking guy. Good luck and ROCK & ROLL!!!

I knew you'd land on your feet! I'm very happy for ya Moby! You are truely a force of good, touching the lives of everyone who hears you. While I love Country Music, I will definetly listen to Classical Rock on Z93 whenever I'm in Atlanta! BTW, is there anyway of getting a copy of that Christmas song you used to play? I think it was called "Tight before Christmas"? I realize if may have offended some people and I respect that, but I did think it was pretty funny. Regardless I'm glad your back on the air and wish you the best.

Moby, My friends and I have been trying to find you again. I have been listening to you since I moved here in '95. I felt lost without you, even though it was only for a short time . I was mad at your country station for not letting us know where you were. I listened to classical music on public radio, for the short time I lost you. I'm sure glad I have found you again. I have never called or e-mailed you. But,I have always listened to you. I will be with you every morning again. Thanks for being there. Your loyal listenor, Tavy

Hello Moby, I would first like to tell you how much I enjoy your show. It is a great show. I was wanting to write and ask you a question. I am a union electrician, I get to listen to you till about 6:30 every morning. If I get to here the Southern at 7:00, I`m in a bad traffic jam. Anyway to get to the point, what do you and Willard think about maybe Southern Fried Fridays? There are plenty of us who would love that. I bet if you were to ask you would get plenty of calls. Just thought I would run that by you and see what you thought. If you don`t agree could I get you to play a little Skynyrd sometime? Before 6:30 maybe? Anyway keep up the good work, and have a good one. A big fan, Jimmy

Moby, Been listening to your morning show going on 8 years now. Talked to you when you where in Houston @ KIKK's. You made me feel real good one day when I called and told you that my father, a cross country truck driver had passed on to the big truck stop in the sky. Man the prayer you said for me and my family deeply touched my soul. I have always been a fan of yours and will till the day I join my dad. Keep up the great work you are doing, maybe we'll met again soon. PS I was also the one that called you and we talk about the North and South stuff, and that's when you said that " we are all brothers and sisters here". Just thought I'd drop you a line and tell you that now I have a real good reason to listen to Z93 again. God bless you Moby and hope to see you again soon.

Hi Moby!!!! Yeah, Baby. I have listened to you for many years as a country fan (even though my husband wasn't crazy about ya), but I guess now I will go back to the "Classics". Sometimes you can teach an old dog new tricks! We may never know the whole story behind decisions made with the "old" station, and it doesn't matter, because God is with you and will always take care of you. I admire your pride in your heritage, your family and especially your moral values. I am proud to say that I have the great country accent and I am not ashamed to speak it with pride. Best of luck in your new adventure. Love your show. Keep the faith! Sharon

Hello Moby, It's great to hear your voice on the air again although I found it by accident. After you left the ...other station we (my wife and I) were left flustered on finding a radio station we enjoyed with a voice we felt both comfortable (our children listen too) and entertaining. It's funny but i usually switched to Z93 after your morning show with you know who. Again it's great to hear you again and look forward to listening to for some time to come With best wishes, Billy

Some people DJ a certain type of music because it's in their soul...other people DJ a certain music because it's a job... Hmmm... from country to rock... my guess is Moby would DJ on V103 if they paid him enough.

Howdy, Mr. Moby. I only wanted to drop you another line and let you know that I found a way to send my comments to your former employer. I had looked before to let them know how I and many others felt but could not find a email link. I think they hid it on purpose, concerning some of the responses you have rec'd from you loyal family members. I feel much better now that I have put in my two cents worth. I know my little ole opinion doesn't matter alot to them but at least I have it off my chest. I listen to you each morning on my way into work, as I have for the entire time you have been in Atlanta. But unfortunately I cannot pick up "Z" after I go into my building. However you still keep me company on my commute. It has been lonely without you, and my cd's were wearing out. No other DJ would do. God Bless you, Mary Beth, Jonah and your little zoo(I'm so glad you started liking cats). Keep up all your good work and YEAH!!!!!!BABY!!!!!!! You'll never be too southern for southern rock and roll............. A devoted listner, Brenda Young

I just wanted you to know that one of the biggest things I love about you is encouragement for the Police Officers, Sheriff's Deputies, and Firefighters. You have always brought special attention to the fallen member of the public services and I just want to tell you thank you for that. Right after you left Kicks there was an officer killed and it was never mentioned on the station. I thought that was very tasteless and then I realized that they always gave you a hard time when you did it. I appreciate that you stood up for your beliefs and helped create a community family. God has blessed you with a gift and I'm proud to say that you are using it to its hilt. Glad you were able to stay in ATL and can't wait till tomorrow morning. Yeah Baby!

I have missed hearing you Moby it was so good to turn the radio on Monday and hear such a wonderful voice. WELCOME back I look forward to hearing you every morning. I'm so glad that I "found" you again. A lot of this music is new to me and I'm learning to get used to it. Ever since the "one day you were there, and the next day gone" I was a channel surfer. I just couldn't listen to 101.5 without you. I had vowed to find another one when my co-worker had heard that you were on Z-93. During my teen years I listens to Z-93 but the theme was a little different then. I do have to admit that the 7-8 with all Beatle songs is a little much for me but I'm really glad that you are there. I missed you because you are a part of my family. Katrina

What happened to "Moby answers e-mail?" Don't want to take you away from Mary Beth, but miss your answers. By the way, the show is getting better, mornings and afternoons. I may become a permanent listener because of you! Thanks to Z93 for bringing you back to those of us who refuse to dedicate our precious time to other 'DJ's'. Rose

Yea Baby! I found you! Thank Goodness!!! I have listen to you on the radio since 1996 when I moved from Michigan. I was devistated when that other brainless stationed made a very bad call! Now that I have found you again I will listen just because you are here! I do have a request if I may ask... about 2 years ago just before Halloween, you read a poem about halloween and children growing up and the parents not having anyone to trick or treat with any more. DO you happen to still have that poem? If so can you post it, and maybe a page for you readings that you have done (will do)? Thanks for many wonderful memories , great stories and pleasing drives around town! Thanks for just being you! Katrina

Thanks Moby, because of you I now listen to 96 Rock! They actually play classic rock with an edge to it. I find your morning show extreamly hard to listen to. I have now removed Z93 from my radio selection. The day you leave and Z93 starts listen to us the listeners is the day I may start listening again.

We've missed you Mobey. We went to the NASCAR race this weekend and to our surprise saw the Mobey In the Morning plastered on the side of a truck as it went around the track. My husband I both stopped listening to "that other channel". We're the rebellious type. We now will be listening to Z93 every morning so we can hear you. I can't say I will be 100% devoted because honestly my nerves can't take some of that Rock n Roll anymore. Anyway, were glad we found you. Good luck in your new radio home.

Get yer lazy asses up! (That's the phrase I remember!) I'm in Houston and saw the story on Fox News about your "too Southern accent". I was like, that's MOBY! Back around '83 I listened to you here in Houston on 97 Rock every morning while getting ready for school. I loved it!! Then I remember in '88 at Monsters of Rock at Rice Stadium w/ Metallica, Dokken, Van Halen and others... and YOU came out on stage- after being gone a few years- and the crowd went NUTS!!! We were more excited about YOU than any of the bands!! I'm sure that Atlanta listeners love and appreciate you as much as we did here. ROCK ON, MOBY!! Lori in Houston

Hi Moby, I have listen to you ever since you came to Kicks and was wondering what had happened to you and now I know I really can't believe that they let you go because of your accent my god it's a country station first it was Deborah who left and now you well i guess they will find a reason to let Jim go next (if they haven't already) I am country from head to toe and could never do without country music but I will be listening to you on Z-93 in the morning's it just wasn't right the way kicks done you and they will regret it I feel sorry for the new guy who tries to fill your shoe's, anyway I wish you and your family the very best of luck YEEEEEEEEEEAH BABBBBBBBBBBY !!!!!!!!!

Also, more and more Atlantans are oversleeping these days without our wake up song. :-) As a matter of fact, my lazy butt just lays there in bed until 10 am listening to Z93. Thanks for staying in Atlanta! I thought Id lost ya. Been listening to you for 5 years at khx and I must say you have had a profound influence on my attitude towards life. Dealing with what life gives you has become a little easier just because you are who you are inside and you share a little of it with us. Its kinda hard to explain it all im just glad youre still here. I know the change isnt easy on you I can hear it in your voice. Youre on the right track just keep on being "Moby" and it will all work out. Heck i think more talk and a lil less music would suit me just fine. Even my wife agrees and she used to hate country music, but then she heard you and listened. Now i get to have it on in the car when she is in it! Miracles do happen! God bless ya man. frank

Southern accent to strong for country music? I don't get it. One day you were there and the next you were gone. I called my husband to ask what was going on. He was as surprised as I was. He finally found you one morning and called right away to let me know where you were. Glad to hear you are still at the controls. Haven't tuned in yet however, will definately be checking you out. Yeah Baby!!!! I knew you wouldn't be down for long. I was so blown over by the excuse that the other station, gave that I even sent a e-mail to the general manager. I told him the station didn't have much respect for their listeners if they thought telling us you were to country (Hello, Atlanta heart of the south, country music station). He didn't waste any time telling me It was not a true story. Well it's good to hear your voice again and can't wait to see new pix of your home menagerie. Devoted member of Mobymalitia Marleen

Just happened across your voice your second morning...I had to double-check my dial setting. I didn't normally listen to Z-93, just surfed to it occasionally I immediately called my wife and had her tune the home radio so she could enjoy the sound of your voice once again in the morning. Both our radios are now tuned to Z93 in the mornings. Welcome back and keep up the good work. We'll be listening...

Wow...I have to admit I don't know what happened with Kicks. You seem really different on this show but not in a becoming way. I wish you were doing modern music again...don't get my wrong...this period of rock was great for it's period. But honestly, how much Neil Young can someone stand? I wish you were back at Kicks. I can't listen to this stuff so it sort of feels like I'm saying goodbye to a friend. Sorry.

Hi Moby - I read about you in Fox News and I'm a native Houstonian. I wander if you are the same Moby I used to listen to years and years ago. (It's been so long - I want to say KLOL. Anyway, if this is the same "Moby" - I met you years and years ago at the Hyatt Regency (West) Houston - now an Omni in West Houston. I was a sales person there and had written you a funny poem. Since then I lived in Austin and worked at Clear Channel at Jammmin' 105.9 (in sales). I loved it! I have since remarried and now live in a very rural area outside of Brady, Texas and am going to a little bit of sales work for an itty bitty radio station called KNEL. (They didn't even know what Arbitron ratings were! AGGH!! :) Oh well.) I wanted to wish you the best of luck at your radio station (even if this is not the same Moby I grew up listening to) and let you know that if the other station didn't care for your accent - well it was their loss and your new station's gain!!! Plus - that is what makes you unique! That program director must have been one of them damn yankees that needs to go back home!!! Keep rockin' Moby! Yeah Baby!! An old devoted listener and fan - Dawn (East) Capps

Moby! So glad to see that the "Z" has come their senses and finally, after a long long time, has found what this station needed for a morning wakeup show!!! Wonderful to have you on! Peace mate, Tom, Cumming GA

Glad to see everything worked out for you, and that you are staying in Atlanta. WKHX management showed their complete lack of class when they refused to renew your contract. Greg Allen McDonough, GA

Get your Lazy Ass out of bed Moby!!! What's up my man. I also grew up in Houston and listened to you on 97Rock and KLOL. Man I miss those stations. I also made the move to Georgia with you in the early 90's. I live in Macon and can pick you up on my home stereo great. I just wanted to wish you well with the new station and welcome you back to Rock N Roll Baby.

Hey "Moby", Congratulations on your new "gig". You and I came to Atlanta about the same time and I have been a loyal fan since your arrival. I remember when you and Kelly(ie?) came to Atlanta along with a little Jonah and joined Jim and Debra at "Kicks". We will miss you on the morning show in the "wonderful world of country". ("I was Country When Country Wasn't Cool") and have been a country music fan most of my life so, I probably won't be a convert at this late stage in my life. I have no clue why you and WKHX felt the need to part company however, I am sure you will be missed. Again, good luck in your return to "Rock & Roll".

Moby...We were so sorry to see you leave Kicks and have worried because we didn't know where you were. Finally, we have found you! Good luck with your new station. We knew music would stay with you regardless of where you were. We loved the "country" flavor of Kicks, but the alarm radio is now set to Z93!!!! May take some getting used to. Glad everything is AOK!
