CMA Award Nominees

George Strait and Brad Paisley lead the field with five nominations each for the 41st annual CMA Awards. Strait and Paisley are nominated for entertainer of the year, male vocalist and album of the year.

Sara Evans and Sugarland announced the nominees in five of 12 categories Thursday morning, Aug. 30, on Good Morning America. Taylor Swift and Montgomery Gentry named the rest of the finalists on a live special edition of CMT Insider later that day.

Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss and Martina McBride each earned four nominations while John Rich, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban got three nominations each for honors at the Nov. 7 awards show.

Strait's album is "It Just Comes Natural" and his single is "Wrapped." He is also nominated for musical event of the year for his collaboration with Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson on a live version of Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin'."

In addition to his album nomination for "5th Gear," Paisley's "Ticks" is vying for single of the year and "Online" for video of the year. The video also earned a CMA nomination for former Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander, Paisley's friend who directed and appears in the production.

The 2007 CMA Awards show will be broadcast live on ABC.
